Pop - annoying ups indicating that I have to upgrade to Media Player 12.7
I bought a new monitor, a HP Pavilion 25xi and get pop ups that say I need to download Windows Media Player 12.7. I have Windows Vista for my operating system. Why am I getting this message and how to prevent getting them?
Thank you!

I understand that you have found the popups asking you to upgrade to Windows Media Player 12.7. I'm you provide a link to the page of Microsoft Windows, Windows Media Player 12 because it is a Microsoft product. I would like to draw your attention as well to the fact that there is a virus that does exactly what you describe, but the fact the software itself if you use it.
I think that you must make sure that you will find and run a good anti-virus online to be sure and take guests of the Windows Media Player if they continue with Microsoft. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

Can I use the Vista license that I have just upgraded to windows 7 Upgrade a computer is currently using XP?
Can I use the Vista license that I have just upgraded to windows 7 Upgrade a computer is currently using XP?
Lol when you upgrade you send upwards with a license, not two. The license of Vista is subsumed in Windows 7 one and can no longer be used. This is the reason for which an upgrade is cheaper than licensed full.

@AdobeSupport
I paid for a month to inspect the Adobe and the Chrome plugin is still telling me that I have to upgrade. I need this job.
Thank you.
SOLUTION:
In my case I had to uninstall the Adobe Edge inspect exe (Windows) of the control panel. Uninstall the Plugin Chrome and quit the installer of creative cloud.
I then restarted the CC Setup program, then I'm went to the Adobe download page inspect, clicked on the download button, THEN installed the Plugin Chrome.
I guess that when in doubt, reinstall everything.

InDesign CS5 files indicating that they have changed
Some files open with an asterisk on the file name tab indicating that there has been a change. It comes from before I did something! How is it? I never know if I should then save it or not.
Thanks for the good suggestions.
Export IDML does not solve the problem. There is no time-based variable.
I solved the problem by brute force. Found the similar file that could be opened without symptoms. Narrowed down by deleting pages, then the elements. Its replacement by a similar, but different image finally solved the problem file. No indication of corruption that I could see.
Today, reopening in no asterisk .indd file results!
If the fault slipped as the original file has changed (I had made changes in the box along the way, but had not immediately noticed the symptom of the asterisk)
