  Hi all

  Any chance you could lend a hand?

  I have a powercli script that goes out to all of my ESX 4.0 host and add a new port group to vswitch1 with a new VLAN ID. That works well, but I also need to override the NIC teaming on this port group, to set an active NIC and the other to be the backup. (we put NIC failover port groups not the vswitches).

  I see ways to change NIC vswitches grouping settings, but am yet to find a way to change the settings of the NIC collection for groups of ports themselves with powercli?

  Can someone shine a light?

• Change the port VM different vSwitch network group

  Hello!  I have four vSwitches (vSwitch0 - vSwitch3) connected to 8 vmnic.  Each vSwitch currently has two vmnic, 1000 full assets and the other waiting.  Unfortunately, we have 6 virtual machines that are running in a VM port on vSwitch0 group, which also has the Service Console and vmkernel.  I want to move the virtual machines in this group on an another vSwitch and port so that the service console/vmkernel can be isolated.

  My understanding is that I really need to do to move virtual machines to another vSwitch group and the port is to change the settings of the virtual machines and etiquette of network to another.  My question is this:

  What kind of effect will a change like this on a production VM?  There will be a brief interruption in connectivity, or that it will be more important?  Less?

  Trying to get a hold if I should make this change during a maintenance window or do it at night sometimes and you worry too much on this subject.  Thoughts, let me know.  Thank you!

  Forget any link vSwitch and VM, there is no such link. VM is always linked to portgroup and he doesn't care at all vSwitch.

  If you want "to an another vSwitch VM" then create new VM portgroup on another vSwitch and then connect all the virtual machines to the new portgroup. That's all.

• My LaserJetPro 400 printer is not recognized on the USB ports. With the help of El Capitan OSx

  Since I installed OSx El Capitan, I had intermittent problems with the USB ports to connect to my HP LaserJet printer. I first thought that the older printer was not compatible with the new OSx software, so I've just upgraded to a new HP LaserJet Pro 400 M451dw. same results and the computer is not even connect to the printer. The number of post detailing a similar problem, I would hope that apple now had a fix for this problem...

• USB ports don't work, help!

  It all started when I followed the advice to uninstall usb ports because I wanted to put back front usb midi or usb keyboard. But Windows 7 64 bit not acknowledged on the back usb port, so I uninstalled usb ports and now system always tells me it can't find the driver for any usb ports 7. Now Win can not install any usb device and the keyboard or the mouse wireless, I also tried another mouse. In the work of bios mouse and keyboard.

  Just don't tell me to install the new copy of Windows.

  I tried really many solutions: remote connection I tried, again uninstall usb and install asus motherboard drivers, no luck.

  He acknowledged I usb controller but always after I connect it will automatically try to install the mouse driver and it says "Unknown device" "device driver software was not properly install.

  Restore point has tried, without success because of the mistake, that he can't go back.

  Yes, but I think it's good now, I knew it was something simple ridiculous, feeling so stupid now, I almost tried everything.

  Seems I was missing USB.inf in the Windows inf folder, but it was just half task. When I tried again to install the USB drivers in Device Manager that I manually navigate to composite usb and usb root hub driver automatically generated list so before Windows search and found nothing. Everything works now, so happy, tried 24 hours to solve this problem and on the end it's always something simple :)

  What I have to do, is to modify an existing report that is in the table style to the group above data model.

  First, I changed the data model to extract the existing data model group and I got no problem with that.

  Secondly, I added grouping framework for my new recordings of grouping (master) and put inside the previous image of grouping (details).

  The problem is when I generate the report that each record is separated by a huge empty line:

  I think I tried everything, I even deleted all the fields of the report and left only my two group executives, but problem still exist.

  You mean, there's already detailed report, now you want to change to master detail (group above).

  At the level of the model:

  You divided the existing group into two bases on simple request, haven't you? means there are now two group master and detail.

  means, group existing, becoming a master and detail created a new group. Let's say that G1 is the master (existing) and G2 (new) group retail.

  If above understanding is correct then proceed as follows

  Place the new extensible framework (say RG2) within the existing extensible framework (let say RG1 and assign the name of the new group G2 to RG2. framework and place all the Group detail fields in extensible framework newly established RG2.

  Hopefully, you will get the expected changes in this way.

  What I have to do is to get an AVERAGE of the SPD column
  where I GROUP by ID, HAND and (here is the hardest part) TIMES (ONLY if its sequential)

  1 would remain the same.
  2 and 3 would be on average because ID, HANDS are the same and the TIME is sequential
  4 and 5 remain the same...
  
  looked analysis AVG to see if I could just create a moving average (partitioned by ID, HAND), but she always ends up with an average of rows 2, 3 and 5. I imagine you could do with PL/SQL but not well versed in the sliders and the table that I it would run on the numbers in the billions of lines...

• With the help of Windows Easy Transfer - need to transfer the old HARD drive to new computer - old HDD attached as external drive for the new usb port of the computer - help

  New computer installed Windows 7 and gave me an option to use Windows easy transfer to transfer files, data, programs, etc. from my old computer.  All I have from the old computer's hard drive; a lightning strike fried either food or his mother by car.  I have attached the hard as a disk to the new computer using the usb cable provided with the external hard drive case.  It is recognized as drive E: on the new computer.

  Trying to follow the instructions given by the Windows Easy Transfer software.  Get the software/folder from the old hard drive (drive E), but trying to run the software that I can't seem to do anything on the old disk.  When asked what is the former or the new computer - I respond to old, but no new file is created for the transfer.  When I answer again, a new file is created on the new computer (rather than the old HDD) and then he transferred again to new.  I can't create a file of whatever it is I want to transfer from the old HDD.

  I can't use an easy transfer cable because the old computer does not only the hard drive.  I can't connect to a network for the same reason.  I only have the hard that I can attach to the new computer.  But I can't get the new computer to process the old hard drive separately for transfer purposes.  The only other option I can think of is to attach the old HDD to another computer, and then try to run the software in this way, but I don't want just the stuff on the old hard drive a copy to the other computer.

  Can anyone help?  Suggest how to get the old hard drive files, data, transferred etc. to the new computer.  What are the steps?

  Do yourself a favor, with the old drive connected externally, in the browser, simply copy the data files to the location of Documents of the PC win7. You can not copy programs, they need to be reinstalled from media origonal. You can copy all the downloaded files instalation

  I downloaded a program on a USB flash drive.  It works on another computer but will not draw the program on mine. Windows 7 64-bit.  I changed the BIOS to USB boot priority #1.  Can someone help me understand what Miss me?  Do I need to install a different driver? Activate something.  It goes to a blank screen with flashing cursor but no prompt.

  You will notice that the first auxiliary request, got_cnt, is almost what you have posted; the main difference is the column of the cnt.

  Analytical functions cannot be nested, or depend on another analytic function in the same query.  Since rnk depends on the cnt, they must be calculated in distinct subqueries.  In addition, the analytic functions are calculated after the clause WHERE is applied.  Because we want to use rnk in a WHERE clause, this means that we need an another subquery.

  In the Oracle HR diagram, I want to know how many employees are there in each location. So, I wrote this query:
  

  select employee_id, count(*) as "how many emps in this location"
  from employees join departments using(department_id) join locations using (location_id)
  group by location_id

  but I got this error:

  ORA-00979: not a GROUP BY expression

  How can I correct the request to give the desired result?

  Hi, first of all, you need not join the departments table. Second, you must change your select clause by replacing the employee_id by location_id. Your output should be like this

  location_id how many emps in this location
  200          4
  300          3
  400          2
