Port stuck

I have a problem with a switchport on a N2048P. The port no longer works. This is my test port. The last thing I did, has been reconfigure trunk to access while it was up. After that, the port would send all traffic. I tried:

  • 6.1.2.4 to the 6.2.1.6 update (i.e. a reload)
  • from the trunk to access the generals and back to access
  • Hot-Swapping the switch hit in the stack by another

The problem persists. The Exchange switch has the problem and kept until it has been reset to the factory settings. The output current of the switch is:

switch#show running-config interface gi4/0/3

spanning-tree portfast
switchport access vlan 301
dot1x port-control force-authorized

The combination of State: transfer and role: people with disabilities seems strange to me. It is interesting also, that the details of the interface is missing two lines after flow compared to a normal port control.

Flow control: enabled
Port: IG4/0/4
Mode of belonging to a VLAN: Access Mode

Any ideas on where the config is borked?

Hi Josh,.

It's just this port a port. As you can see in the output there is not a single bpdu sent or received on this port.

The output of another port is:

There is no error of spanning tree in the newspaper. If you want I could you e-mail the output of the show of support.

But I found the culpit. There was still a session from the active monitor on this port. Thanks anyway Josh.

  • CS5 file suspended CS6 when you change styles

    Windows 7, InDesign CS6 8.01

I was working on a file of about 91 pages with plenty of tables in CS5 last week. We have to day at CS6 this week, and the file seems to work very well. I decided that I was not satisfied with the appearance of the tables, so I went the table style, changed lines color fills, and as soon as I clicked on 'Preview' I got the blue spinning circle. Only way out was to complete the program.

Since then, I tried the following:

    * Change color without previewing (crashes)

    * Import document CS5 in CS6 again, try again (crashes)

    * Open the file in CS5 on another computer (such as it has been uninstalled on mine) and try the same (end)

    * Export out to IDML of CS5 and who import CS6 (very good). Try to change the style (crashes)

    * Try to change the color of a font in a paragraph style (crashes)

    * Try to change the font of a paragraph style (fine)

Open the CS6 document which was casuing all the evil on another machine with CS6 (is not displayed, then crashes)

Open the IDML CS5 on the other computer (fine) then try the change in table style (crashes)

    * On the original computer, re - import styles of table from a previous version (fine) then try change (crashes)

    * Reproduce the table style, change the color in the style (thin, but not applied to anything), then delete the original style, replace with a new one (crashes)

I am at a loss here, because my usual solution of strangeness should go on the IDML road as I thought that rebuilt the file again. Does not seem to want to play at the same time however.

    Any suggestions?

Thanks for your reply Peter. I had not thought the road to tagged text, probably because I've never had use of tagged text!

I gave it a go, export the entire embarrassing section in the tag text. Placing them back in a new InDesign document with automatic flow of texts on, I had the same crash/spinny-wheel-causing-me-to-end-task. I tried again, but this time turn off "automatic formatting" and has done page by page, noting that it would break. Next time, I cut out the table that the accident would happen on when I got to it (the accident would happen as soon as I clicked on the output port), stuck on the side, made a note where he went and continued to give the rest of the story without a hitch. I could change the table style in the paper without problem.

I glued the troublesome rear table, tried to change the style of table and got to the accident. Right, getting somewhere.

I opened the previous model and put it back in the section who was not at the origin of the problems (all without the dodgy table). I could change the style very well. Then, I made a new document and pasted the wrong table, thinking that it would crash when I went to change the style. However, I could change the style of table very well!

So, thinking that everything was ok now I copied the table, stuck with the rest, went to change the style and... spinny ball.

Finally, I converted the table to text pasted into the main document and converted to a table. So far so good. I'll update again if I run into any more problems.

Realistically, I could put the thing still once in the time it took me to solve this, but I'm a little scared that it happened at all with a document that works very well in CS5!

  • CQ62-410US stuck with "Several monitor - Clone View" and VGA port does not

    Hello!

I have a Compaq CQ62-410US computer laptop with an Intel GMA 4500 M (onboard) video card and a port output VGA, Windows 7 x 64 operating system. A few weeks back the screen was broken (kick straight punch of a child) and nothing could be transmitted via the VGA output either, but the laptop booted and I could hear the sound of Windows 7 logon. I never checked before the VGA output port.
Yesterday, I replaced the screen broke up with and identical. The fine (full-screen) display in case of back work (boot from USB Flash and the sea + test images), but in Windows 7, two vertical black stripes appeared on the sides because lower than the native resolution. The resolution can be changed at native 1366 x 768 "Screen resolution" because the display is set by default to "Multiple monitors" (I have no other monitor connected, only the built-in screen) and "display of Clone. The built-in display is set as secondary and 'Generic non - PnP' is defined as primary. Any attempt to set the integrated display as primary function or to change the mode "display single" / "Extend view" leads to a black screen with the backlight always on, no matter where I change the settings - in the 'screen Resolution' or 'Graphic properties' (from driver Intel). In the 'Screen Resolution' window the pictogram of the screens show a single screen split in two, and when I press the button "Identify" it shows on the screen ' 1 | 2 ", as you left half of the screen is the main display and half right is the secondary display.
I put a Philips monitor to the VGA port, Windows detects and installs the appropriate driver, but there is no picture any of mode I put - Clone, Extend, unique display - monitor.
I tested 3 view of the site of Compaq drivers for my device and the GMA 4500 M drivers from Intel, but the problem is the same (with the drivers from the site intel, on I get only black screen with backlighting.) Pilots are unstable, sometimes at the opening session, page is only a black screen (but before the windows loading screen appear very well) that cannot be changed by "Fn + F4" / "F4" (change view) but a black with the backlight is turned off.
Due to the replacement of the hard disk, I can't use restore of the operating system that is installed at the factory.
Please advise me how to solve the display problem and enable the port VGA (get the image on the external monitor).
    Thank you in advance.
SSM there is not output through the VGA input even at the BIOS screen (no material or to issue independent of the operating system support?).

    I have attached a screenshot.

Update: I started a live Knoppix CD, and I don't find any problem - unique in 1366 x 768 display configuration; I could even play a game in 3D (OpenGL). While hanging from one monitor to the VGA port, it was found, but when trying to print image to it the OS hung. I guess it's a hardware problem, something to do with the video controller.

I thought about it, it's the GPU, I think that some of the contacts are damaged. Today even in the BIOS screen I see in the middle of the screen a vertical thin purple line which was bounded two screens on a single screen, and all now have a purple tint.

I had a quick glance at the GPU and surprise - it is glued to the motherboard, no sleeve, no welding. The motherboard chipset is also stuck.

    See the attached images.

Thank you for the excellent support. I will never buy anything with Compaq logo on it.

Software solutions Srinivasan: Installation of Oracle OBIEE 12 c in Windows 7

no idea how to solve this problem?

    Thank you.

The solution is that you must provide the good reception

    https://community.Oracle.com/thread/3817750

so once you get the error, set the BI_PRODUCT_HOME: C:\Middleware\Oracle_Home\bi in the environment variable.

Run the rcu.bat to remove the users, remove the C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\user_projects\domains\bi directory and run the rcu.bat and run the config.exe

    Kind regards.

  • iPhone stuck in recovery mode 5 c

    Hi all

I'm not native English and my grammar isn't the best, so if you do not understand something I posted, just ask and I try to be more specific.

I have the problem that my iPhone 5 c is stuck in recovery mode and I have so far failed.

The problem started with iOS 9.3.3. In the aftermath of the update my iPhone crashed with the screen flickering and restarted every 1-2 minutes. Then I installed the iPhone as a new iPhone and it was good for a few days and then it happened.

Then comes the 9.3.4 iOS update. The update worked for a day and then all of a sudden my iPhone has not found any connection to my mobile operator. WLAN and bluetooth still worked.

Then I tried to restore my iPhone again. First of all everything went well and the update was successful, but the same day, the flicker of the screen and restarts every 1-2 minutes came back.

I once again tried to restore my iPhone, but this time it did not work. First of all, I got error 9 several times.

These days I get only error 4013 and I can't get the iPhone out of recovery mode. When I try to launch it to the of in the mode of recovery and all the ways to get out of her failed.

When I try to retrieve it with iTunes, it extracted the software, then the iPhone restarts until I see the apple logo and the "busy" - circle appears. Then the whole screen fades away in the dark, as if he would run out of power, but leaves immediately in recovery mode where I see the iTunes logo and the cable with plug.

    Here's what I did:

-Hold the home button and the Start button / stop in any combination: he restarts, but returned in recovery mode and error 4013 in iTunes.

-Via another USB port: same result, error 4013 in iTunes.

-Tried it on another computer (Win 10) with fresh install iTunes. Here, I got error 21 once and 4013 the second try.

-check the URL in the file host

-J' tried all methods, I found on the internet and in youtube videos in this community.

I bought the iPhone end of 2013, that is guaranteed is not in effect. Ever, the iPhone fell down or has been damaged in any way. And it is not jailbroken.

So I have a few questions:

    1. is this a software problem or it could also be a hardware problem?

    2. do I can install iOS 10, it will overwrite the current state and install it?

    3. If it is a problem that is caused by a defective software update, apple will repair for free? Or will contact free support in this case?

    4. someone an idea that a repair is going to cost me?

    Hello

Make sure that you have followed all the steps related to error code 4013 and code error 21, notably by ensuring that you are using a real lightning Apple USB cable (or the equivalent of third-party certified IFM):

And also that you follow the correct process:

If the problem persists then, I suggest you contact Apple technical support or make a Genius Bar reservation for assistance, including to have checked whether iPhone recommended by Apple:

  • Coin stuck in card SD MacBook Air

    Hello

I got a 1 piece p (UK Penny) stuck in the port, I can't remove it which can be tried there on the side, so it may fall, but it's just stuck

If you can, take your Mac to an Apple Store so that they can safely remove the piece for you.

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar

If you can't go to an Apple Store, look for an authorized service provider > Apple - find

  • iPhone stuck in mode headphones, no sound except the ringtone, but work helmets.

Hi, my iPhone has recently stuck in headphone mode, there is no sound except for my ringtone.

I checked my alert tones, of course the ringtone works, but no other alerts does sounds.

I put the earphones, they still work. After these tests, it shows my speaker is not damaged, nor is it my output port headphones

    Things I've tried:

      • reset it
      • sucked on each port, while covering others (read in the forums)
      • Blow-dried ports
      • He telephoned and kept switching between the speakerphone and the phone
      • clean the helmet and speaker holes
      • After cleaning I sucked again

He is now sitting in rice, to see if there is moisture in there.

I know there are plenty of these kinds of questions here, but I have tried literally everything suggests now and nothing has changed.

Wanted to see if anyone had any new advice before considering to Vodafone or Apple.

    Thanks in advance!

    ! FIXED!

He was sitting in rice for about 20 minutes, had not fixed so I turned it rebooted and now its fine. Summer has little moisture there somewhere.

  • Apparently stuck Windows in the configuration of the diagnostic

After reading many articles on how to speed home computers, I used the diagnostic configuration in MSCONFIG in 'run' and restarted. However, it came when it restarts it had the following problems (these are just the ones I found there may be more)

-old style windows. When I tried to go back to Windows XP was not available as an option

-CD Player opens, but not recognize the discs.
-USB ports feed, but again, don't recognize any devices
-Built-in speaker (mobile satellite) does not work
-Help and support can be run as a service is disabled. However all of my available services are on (look at MSCONFIG)
-L'internet does not work. It does not appear in the status bar and does not. The integrated wireless device is supplied with power, but the computer doesn't seem to recognize that it is there.

It's kind of like it is stuck in safe mode, but it always has my background and all programs in the toolbar appear (except internet). As I said there was perhaps more difficult that I have not yet seen.

I tried several times to restart in normal option in MSCONFIG, and it comes up with the same thing. I read a similar post on another Web site that said to use the restore disk with the system came and use. He said before you do this, all files and drivers must be copied to the laptop, first of all I m don't know what that means pilots, and the second of all, I have no method of deleting files, such that the computer does not recognize the devices/drives/what either really.

Basically, I want it to work again, lol.

Any help really, really appreciated. I tried to address this during some time now.

I also think that the best solution for you is to use recovery media and reinstall the operating system. After doing this, you will have a clean installation and everything works well again.

What about the record of important data? Is there a way that you can try.

As a first step, I would like to know what model of laptop you have exactly. What satellite? You have two partitions on the HARD drive?

  • Satellite Pro C650 - USB ports now DEAD

Over the past 48 hours have really struggled to get my USB ports work,
Toshiba SATELLITE PRO C650 lappy running W7... At only 2 usb ports.

A couple of days, I bought a new stick of memory... 16 GB SanDisk Cruzer Blade... He stuck in lappy and anything that happened outside my mouse attached wireless stopped working.
Since then, the ports were completely dead. (stick now appears on anotherPC)
That's what I did so far, after a search web solutions thro...

Device Manager display ports everything is OK with no exclamations...
When I insert any USB device... no sound confirmation of PC and Dev Mgr flinch...
Tried to uninstall port/hubs and leaving W7 re-install them using... Still dead...
Trying to remove battery and power sector during the centuries, then re start off the power... Still dead...

I think that my last resort looking for a factory system by default re install... but one have a mountain of things astro which must be saved and cannot be done through many many discs.
I really want to be sure ive tried everything before you do this.

Could I have really damaged the MB. ??
I now nowhere so fast if theres anyone out there has any suggestions please shout...

    > I think that my last resort looking for a factory system by default re install... but one have a mountain of things astro which must be saved and cannot be done through many many discs

Even if it s really painful to get everything installed it again, I would recommend to recover the laptop using the Toshiba recovery disc or HARD drive recovery.

    > Could I have really damaged the MB. ??
Well, it's hard to say before trying the recovery procedure.
If the USB ports are not working after using the recovery disk (or HDD recovery), then of course: the mobo may be affected, therefore, in my view, the laptop must be set to the factory settings.

  • Captain El installation stuck

installed at El Captain on my iMac. After reboot, I have a white screen. I read online to restart. This did not help. Help!

Please take each of these steps that you have not already tried it. Some of them are not applicable to your model or your situation. Stop when the problem is resolved.

To restart a computer is not responding, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the unit turns off, then release, wait a few seconds and press again briefly.

    Step 1

The first step to respond to a startup failure is to secure data. If you want to keep the contents of the boot drive and you have not already at least a current backup, you should try to back up now, before we do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care the data changed since the last backup, you can skip this step.

There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to boot. You need an external hard drive to store backup data.

    a. starting the partition recovery or an hour Local Machine backup volume (button option key at startup). When the OS X Utilities appears, launch disk utility and follow the instructions in this support articleto the title of the "Instructions for the backup on an external hard drive via disk utility". The article refers to the start of a DVD, but the recovery mode procedure is the same. You don't need a DVD if you use OS X 10.7 or higher.

    (b) If step 1 fails due to disk errors, and no other Mac is available, then you may be able to save some of your files by copying them in the Finder. If you already have an external hard drive with OS X installed, the start of it. Otherwise, if you have access to the Internet, follow the instructions on this page to prepare the external hard drive and install OS X on it. You will use the installation program of recovery, rather than download it from the App Store.

    c. If you have access to a Mac, and it work and have both the non-working Mac FireWire ports or stroke, start the Mac non-working in target disk mode. Work Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique will not work with USB, Ethernet, Wi - Fi or Bluetooth.

    d. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is replaceable by the user, remove it and climb into a docking station that is pregnant or an external drive. Use another Mac to copy the data.

    Step 2

If you have booted from an external drive, make sure that the internal boot volume is selected in the pane of the system preferences Startup disk.

Start in safe mode. Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. If you do not see the words "Safe Boot" in the start screen, you did not start in safe mode. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, and some things don't work at all, including the networks without wire on some Macs.

The login screen is displayed even if you normally connect automatically. You must know the password for the connection to connect. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

If the startup progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or the system stops automatically when the progress bar appears, the boot volume is corrupted and the player is probably defective. In this case, go to step 9. If you have another problem with the player, replace it immediately.

If you can start and log in in safe mode, empty the trash and then open the window of info on the boot volume ("Macintosh HD", unless you have given it a different name.) Make sure you have at least 9 GB of space available, as shown in the window. If you do not, copy as many files as necessary on another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion is not complete until you empty the trash again. This, until the space is more than 9 GB. Then restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)

If the boot process hangs again, the problem is probably caused by third-party software you have installed. Ask for additional instructions.

    Step 3

If the startup process stops at a gray screen together with a mobile cursor, then the logon dialog box may be active but not visible because of a bug. You may be able to connect by using the arrow keys or the cursor to select the password field and type your password as usual.

    Step 4

Case of failure of step 3, the boot volume can be complete. If you saw previously implemented guard space drive is low, it is certainly the case. You might be able to start in safe mode , even if you cannot boot normally. Otherwise, boot from an external hard drive, or well technology for step 1b, 1 c or 1 d allows to mount the internal drive and delete some files. According to the documentation from Apple, you need at least 9 GB of free space on the boot (as shown in the Infolog) for normal operation volume.

    Step 5

If a Mac desktop (without the built-in keyboard) crashes on a gray screen together with a mobile cursor, the keyboard may not be recognized. Hold down the button on the side of a wireless Apple keyboard to make it discoverable. If need be, replace or recharge the batteries. If you use a USB keyboard connected to a hub, connect it to a built-in port.

    Step 6

Sometimes, a startup failure can be solved by resetting the NVRAM.

    Step 7

If there is an integrated optical drive, a disk may be stuck in there. Follow these instructions to remove it.

    Step 8

Press and hold the power button until the unit turns off. Disconnect all devices wired except those needed to start and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use another keyboard and/or mouse, if these devices are wired. If you can start now, one of the devices that you disconnected, or a combination of both, the origin of the problem. Discover that it is a process of elimination.

    Step 9

Launch the utility disk in recovery mode (see step 1). Select the boot volume, and then run the repair disk. If problems are found, repeat until that clear. If disk utility reports that the volume is not repairable, the drive is defective and must be replaced. You can choose to tolerate such malfunction in the reader's life. In this case, delete the volume and restore it from a backup. If the same thing happens again, replace the drive immediately.

It is one of the rare situations where you must also run repair permissions, ignoring the erroneous warnings, that it can produce. Look for the line "Permissions repair complete" at the end of the output. Then restart as usual.

    Step 10

If the boot device is an aftermarket SSD, it may have an update and/or a forced "garbage collection". Instructions how to do this with a Crucial SSD of brand have been posted here. Some of these instructions may apply to other brands of SSDS, but you should check with the technical support of the provider.

    Step 11

Reinstall the OS. If the Mac has upgraded an earlier version of Mac OS X, you need the Apple ID and password used to upgrade.

    Step 12

Do as in step 11, but this time clear the disk utility boot volume before installing. The system should restart automatically in the installation wizard. Follow the prompts to transfer data from one Time Machine or another backup.

    Step 13

This step applies only to models that have a battery logic-board ("PRAM"): all of the Mac Pro, MacBook with a removable main battery and a few others (models not updated). A flat battery logic-board may cause a boot failure. In general the failure will be preceded by the loss of the system and boot disk clock settings. Refer to the user manual for replacement instructions. You may need to take the machine to a provider of services to have to replace the battery.

    Step 14

If you get this far, you probably deal a hardware failure. An appointment of 'Genius' to an Apple Store, or select another authorized service provider.

  • Toshiba Canvio 5 TB carving UBS ports

Hi, I bought this unit two weeks ago and I have a real problem with an intermittent fault. I tried to reduce the issue down as much as possible, but just when I thought that I solved it, he did it again.

Basically I use the drive as my storage drive for synchronization of the box, 360cloud, onedrive, drobbox, google reader and the location for my portal for recorded tv and plex media storage. And my system backups.
Things seem to start but then as soon as Acronis True Image 2015 runs to back up my system, it starts but little time after 15-25mins (this cut just one out to 11.27 GB) in the backup, the USB port will cancel followed by my usb port mouse, my dongle wifi port.
I checked the power management settings and they are not to disable usb ports when it is idle, hhds etc will not be closed after x time being idle. I ran acronis true image with all my cloud storage synchronization off, plex and media extender Portal off the power. I even stopped things as process lasso and kerish doctor and my internet security off, but he always does.
I tried on windows 8.1 and windows 10 and its does on both and also tried on a windows xp laptop. On the xp laptop, it has not cut off the ports, but he could have done if used for more.
After a short time, a few minutes after closed ports it tells me that the last device that I have connected malfunctions, but he does not recognize the USB so cannot reload the reader, each time I have to restart the computer, which is not very sure that without the usb ports, I have no mouse or keyboard to restart windows without using the reset button on the case! Even if I remove the devices and then reinsert them ports seem dead, nothing is picked up until I restart the machine.

Without the drive connected everything works fine if its something to do with the drive

I'm stuck. I need this sorting ASAP because I need to access the files I put on the disk regularly.

I hope that there is an easy fix as the drive back would be very embarrassing that I need the data off the drive before it is replaced and I don't have another drive to do.

I think it might be a problem with the power supply of the USB port...

The USB 2.0 port common provides only 500mA

The USB 3.0 device needs 900mA

That's why I recommend you this HARD disk to connect to two USB 2.0 ports using the USB Y cable
