Portable weird temp / / 4540 probook s

Hello, support team.

There is a little problem with my laptop I want to learn more. I think it began almost the day I bought it, but I didn't

t be careful because it lasted for a few minutes once in two weeks or more. But now it is more common and is really weird.

So at least for 5 minutes, or so my laptop, suddenly (I have not noticed a model), starts doing the following:

(1) keys become sticky when I press the buttons from right to left and there is no way to select a single file/word/etc with a mouse as well

(2) scroll weel does not work in documents browser but works as a "back" button in the browser

(3) all the letters are CAPITALIZED, even if it is off

(4) when you click on an icon on a taskbar does not at all or that it creates a new document window.

I have win7pro, SP1

Is this a virus? or is it a defect any? I checked with Avast virus and DrWeb Cureit, but they found nothing.

Is there any reccomendations or do you need some more information?

Thanks in advance

Hello pooooooooorleno

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I understand that you have a problem with your laptop. However, since it is a commercial laptop, you should post your question on the map cell of the HP Enterprise Forums for a better answer.

I searched high and low for a solution and tried several different things, all for nothing will do. We have several new portable 4540 probook s and I'm looking to deploy using MDT 2012 windows7x86. I have uploaded the drivers to my host to deploy and rebuilt my images of pe, but winpe does not connect to my deployment share - error - the following pΘriphΘrique ParamΘtrage did not have a driver installed. I have double and triple checked the driver's inf file and it matches the PCI\VEN id on the material in the factory responsible for the OS. DRVLOAD refuses to load this driver when pointed at it. I use sp59118 for the realtek gigabit lan adapt. I tried the driver for our old 4530 s, and even if she is charged, I was still unable to see an inface or connect to the deployment share. Can anyone help with this? Please? My sanity hangs in the balance on this one. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I had replied to your post earlier, but apparently it never went through.

I tried my 4540 s here with my team multidisciplinary-2012 and it works very well. My litetouch.wim mdt is based on windows 4 and I to use the winpe driverpack sp60861 hp.

Note that there is also a winpe 3.x SP58992 form.

Could you let me know what version of winpe, comes your litetouch.wim?  WinPE 3or 4 x 86 or x 64

To try to reproduce your issue tro I tried the following:

    1. Extract p59118
    2. Has taken a fresh winpe 3.1 without any additional driver added
    3. Use dism to mount
    4. Then add the driver c:\swsetup\sp59118\WIN7\NDIS6\32\hp86win7.inf
    5. commit the changes and unmount the image wim

I then started the 4540 s that wim has successfully loaded the driver for the CARD, and I could connect to my server mdt-2012.

I also tried to start my 4540 s fees, vanilla, winpoe 3.1 x 86, then use drvload to load the hp86win7.inf driver does load successfully and again once I could connect to the server mdt-2012

So, I am sure that this driver is OK.

Could you tell me what version of winpe, you use?  3 or 4 also x 86 or x 64?

You can check that the correct driver is loaded in your Michael boot.wim file?  Use dism to get a list of driver and check if you see correctly rt86win7.sys

In addition, when you boot your mdt boot media, press F8 to get a cmd command prompt and do an ipconfig to check whether you are connected or not.

Also if you want you could send me (I can give you an ftp site) your wim file bootable and I could watch and I hope to resolve this.

The fingerprint reader is an optional component of your laptop.

The image you posted shows the Notepad in the image doesn't have a fingerprint reader; small empty coverage shows where the player would be installed.

  • 4540 proBook s: black screen

My 4540 probook s graphics has intel and amd card... when installing drivers intel on my 10 windows, screen turns black... I need help

    anyiego

If your PC is preinstalled with Win10, there is no reason why you would be installing video drivers because the good ones would already be in place.

If you have improved your PC to Win10 yourself, the problem is that your PC seems to have switchable graphics, and in this case, MS has a history I'm sorry bad video drivers installation.

You should see if the graphics drivers from the product page HP for your PC, for 64-bit Win10, fix this problem: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=5229456&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4192

  • boot from the disk HARD second 4540 probook s

    Hello

I replaced the optical drive with a second HDD on 4540 ProBook s. I read of this 2nd HARD drive but I could not configure BIOS to boot from it, and boot device options lists only the first HARD drive.

It's pretty common. Simply because the BIOS is written to boot from an optical drive connected to this port does not mean that he will start on a hard drive. I don't think there's any way to boot from the hard drive adapter in the optical Bay.

  • Install Win7 (Pro) on a C6Z35UT 4540 ProBook S?

    HI -.

I recently bought a laptop from ProBook 4540 S C6Z35UT. I love the material. It came with 64-bit Windows 8. I've never tried Windows 8 before, but I really used Windows 7. After playing a bit with it, I decided that I really don't like Windows 8 in all. The start screen is just in the way. I want a standard office where I can plop in some communes docs that I am referencing, icons of joint programmes, etc.. Turning to the Office of neo-Win7 Windows 8 is pretty lame. If you run an office program to the start menu, you return to the office, but then he stayed after this program. It is a design very "hack". The start menu is cute for keys ("surface" s) but not truly portable / office appropriate, IMHO.

So my question is: if I buy a version of Windows 7 or Windows 7 Pro 64 - bit Windows, I can install on this machine and it will have the support of good pilot? In addition, in case something is messed up, is it possible to create an installation of Windows 8 DVD to my laptop to make it back to the original state?

    Thank you very much

    Mark

    You are the very welcome.

If it's not Pro, HP probably ship you W7 pro discs and they can give you a free downgrade to W7 Home Premium because these operating systems are not eligible for a decline in ratings, but you have nothing to lose by asking a set of drive of W7.

Worst case is you buy a sale at retail or OEM version of W7 and install.

At least you know there are drivers for W7.

  • 4540 proBook s: 4540 Probook s MAXIMUM supported memory?

    Hello

I want to upgrade my 4 GB (1600 Mhz, installed by the factory - I mean HP for sure!) memory on my Probook 4540 s 16 GB (or maybe 12 GB - keeping my primary memory installed), but I read so many complains here, portable computer after upgrade!, and I'm worried about it at the moment.

    Here's my question:

What is the memory maximum amount I can reach him on my laptop no problem in operation?

-Note that I installed the latest driver of bias (F.60. worm) that is downloaded from HP for my device (when I was on Windows 64-bit Pro 8.1 - before moving on to 10 Pro 64-bit Windows), and I have no problem with my device right now.

  • 4540 proBook s does not start after stopping

Brand new Probook s 4540, B7A48EA #BED, of the box. Memory 4 GB DDR3, 500 GB, processor i3, SUSE Linux disk.

I have install the battery, connect the power supply and turn on laptop. Linux installation started, got the message 'creating recovery root tarball' and wait, wait and wait with the same message of Linux. I rebooted the laptop and after that got Linux message 'Cannot find size info part of recovery' and restarted itself, every 120 seconds.

I turned it off, by pressing the power button / stop 5 sec.

After that, I can't turn on laptop. When I press the power button / stop, power, drive, browser and Flash of LED wireless, you can hear disc trying to turn but fail and all the lights go out and about 2 seconds later all lights flash once again, drive tries to spin but fail again and laptop does not start.

I have 'power reset', updated the BIOS (F.40), removed the drive and DVD drives, tried without battery but no change in behavior. I returned the drive and the original DVD. After removing the memory, portable lights, as if, and caps lock flashing of LED 3 times which means error memory. After that, I did a "reset power" once again, reinstall memory and try to start the laptop. After pressing the power button / stop at the beginning I had same symptoms I described, and after 2 portable seconds began. I installed Windows 7 Pro. Laptop computer can be restarted Windows, but after stopping, he can't press start button to start / stop.

One way to start is to move the memory in the other slot, but it cannot start after his stop. After his return in the first memory location can be started again until the next stop. And when start, does not start from the beginning, but after 2 seconds, for his second try. The BIOS memory test, the EFI system diagnostic and memtest86 has errors. I tried with different memory module but got the same symptoms.

    Should I change a motherboard?

After replacing the motherboard (systemboard), everything works.

  • 4540 proBook s: drivers missing

Hi, I have a few questions.

I formatted my computer laptop hp ProBook s 4540 with windows 7 64 bit and I noticed that my laptop is no longer permitted to detect all internet. I did some reading on it and looks like missing the following drivers. I've never done this before, and I guess I need a USB driver download and load them up on my laptop?

    The following drivers are missing:

    Base system device

    Base system device

    Ethernet controller

    Network controller

    PCI Simple Communications controller

Standard VGA Graphics Adapter (Note: there are two of them and one of them says that the driver is missing.)

I guess as long as I have my ethernet or my controller network still work once I can just "Update" the other riders and they will work?

Either way, my network controller hardware ID is -.

  • 4540 proBook s: Win8 only DVD - new installation language

    Hello

I'm not sure if I send this message to the right forum, but here goes...

    VERY SHORT VERSION

About six weeks ago, I bought a 4540 of HP Probook which seems to be a well designed system and which came with pre-installed Win8. Are there instructions available on how to install a new version of Win8 (including partitioning and Recovery, System EFI Win and MS Reserved partitions, formatting etc.) using the DVD titled:

    HP
    The operating system DVD
    Windows 8 unilingual (EM)

I found how to install Win8 you use others install DVD and partitioning tools which I did not. Thank you.

    LONG VERSION

After encountering a problem starting HP Support kindly sent me a single language of Win8 installation DVD. (As they would send me a recovery DVDs, but I asked if they could send media that would allow me to choose my own partitioning etc. during installation.) However I can't find all the instructions concerning the use of it & it appears Win8/UEFI systems is very different from earlier versions of Windows/BIOS I have previously installed.

UEFI does not seem to see the DVD of SL Win8 bootable in the following scenarios:
    (a) native UEFI. Start secure; Quick start
    (b) native UEFI; Start secure; Disabled quick start

UEFI does see the DVD bootable under the following scenario:
    (c) native UEFI; Secure boot disabled; Disabled quick start

With each of the above scenarios, if I hit F9 to start then select "Boot from EFI file" there are anything on the hard drive.

After starting as per c & selection language element, OS & license I get a display screen partitions. Drive C was on the 4 UEFI system partition, but by selecting the score (or other) gives me the warning:

-Windows cannot be installed on the partition of drive 0 4.
-Windows cannot be installed to this disk. Hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the drive controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu.

Maybe this post looks at the UEFI BIOS settings mentioned above (and maybe I chose the wrong settings).

If I go ahead and install it even when the system still will not boot. It is perhaps not surprising because I suspect that the problem is the UEFI boot somewhere - process even if the (in fact all partitions of original 6) EFI system partition always exist and seem to have readable file systems.

I also tried to install Win8 with other UEFI parameters with a lack of similar success. For example. I think that Legacy mode allows to boot from the DVD but does not allow the installation to proceed.

Any help about installing Win8 SL with associated EFI & other partitions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
