Portege R830 - 3G fails to initialize after returning from hibetnation

Hello world

I have had a Toshiba R830 for almost two years now and I love it. Even more after a few months at the time I discovered, he had 3G capacity.
At first (with the original drivers) the capacity of the 3G does that 2 times on 3.
Other times he would be stuck "initialization".

I found and downloaded the latest drivers (as far as I could find) of this site and the problem is * mainly * gone but it's a pain when it happens.

The only way I can get the modem working again is to a full reboot.
I think it happens if I disconnect the session 3G until I put into hibernation the R830.

Technical details:
Laptop TOSHIBA R830 PT321A - 01 K 002
Program TOSHIBA Wireless Manager version CXP 901 4396/41 R4C01
Ericsson f5521gw for Modem Broadband Mobile TOSHIBA 15/11/2012 7.2.3.4

Is there anything else I can do to fix this?
Maybe a newer driver (even beta)? Another thing to check/set up?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

See you soon,.
Andrew.

> I think it happens if I disconnect the session 3G until I put into hibernation the R830.

I have no experience in using 3G after the laptop wakes up from hibernation mode, but in my opinion a good idea to close the connection before going into hibernation mode.
Should test this several times in the line to check if it s the solution.

    Nice day!

    I have experienced the problem depending on my Portege R830-10R for a long time.

    Quite often, when he recovers as soon as "sleep" mode it loses the ability to recognize USB devices and built-in 3G modem does not work as well.

    After awhile, like 10-15 minutes of work (or), the problem is solved by itself, but normally, it is not the case.

    If I try to send the laptop to Hibernate or "standby mode" again, while this problem is active, allows to say, it not put into hibernation and crashes on a midway with a black screen - so I have to stop it manually, and then start again.

    Normally, the only way to solve the problem is to restart, but the issue comes after the next "standby".

    Someone has something like this? Any solution available?

  • Portege R830 - problems of 3G connection after installing Win 7 32 bit

    Hello

    I went down a Portege R830 Windows 7 64 bit for Windows 7 32 bit with drivers of Toshiba. I put a SIM from my provider.
    In the windows Network Manager, 7 and in the Toshiba Wireless Manager I can see the right provider and HSPA network but when I start the connection, it does not (I don't have a PIN code).

    It is failed with Windows 7 Network Manager and Manager Toshiba wireless (I don't have this problem with the Portege R700 windows 7 32bits)

    But I found a small solution (but I think that's not enough):
    I have created a dial-up connection, with a number * 99 #,.
    I started the connection, it does not happen, but after that, when I raise my first connection is good.

    I don't know why, it's as if the modem is in sleep and the dial-up connection wake-up the modem, because after all is good (win7 Network Manager, Manager wireless Toshiba) so if I reboot the Portege.

    I want to avoid the dial-up connection on my r700 portege with 32-bit windows 7

    Thanks for your help and sorry for my English.
    support for the toshiba told me to reinstall windows 7 64 bit to solve the problem :)

  • Portege R830 - Windows does not start after I have install Comodo Firewall

    Good afternoon

    I bought today a Portege R830, and after the Windows configuration, the first program that I installed was the popular free Comodo Firewall. After that I restarted, Windows 7 unbootable. It would be stuck on the user login screen and I know it's a problem with the firewall because if I do a system restore to the restore point created by Setup of firewall, windows restarts.

    So I ask if there is any inconsistency between the firewall and software on the Toshiba. A that someone already had this problem? I tried to solve this problem throughout the day with no results. I even re-installed Windows 7 using the Toshiba Recovery and the problem persists. I really like the Comodo and I want this firewall on my laptop, but Windows does not just start!

    Any help would be apreciated.

    Hi jillefsky,.

    Have you disabled the Windows Firewall before you start with the installation of Comodo Firewall? As far as I know, Portege R830 is delivered with preinstalled McAfee security software and you must remove this program before you install other security tools.

    Generally this has nothing to do with Toshiba and it s advisable to contact Comodo directly. They may know about this so they can give you a proper answer.

    But I put t understand why this program is so important to you. Windows already has an internal firewall so that these programs are not necessary in my opinion. Just install a good antivirus like AntiVir and enable the automatic updates of Windows. All that s!

  • Bluetooth control fails to initialize after mating

    Hi all

    I have a problem similar to a previous question (here). I use Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit on an HP HDX 16 with Broadcom integrated wireless. I have associated my pioneer What AS-BT200 attached to a VSX-921 k. This device has been paired before (it can use 3 codes pairings - 0000, 1234, 8888 - and I've matched initially by using the 0000 pairing code) but now it wouldn't connect. I have problem different havea pair my headset Rocketfish BT and found that it would not connect automatically, so I have to open my Bluetooth devices, right click on the device and click the control. In Control Panel, click on connect and let it open to keep the connection (really, why's do not connect an option from the context menu...?) Sorry, Rant off)). I thought that this could be the problem with this camera as well, but when I try to open the control I get the error message:

    "This operation could not initialize. Try again after turning off the Bluetooth and then back on. If the operation fails to initialize, try again after restarting this computer. »

    Long story short (er), I tried to restart the receiver and computer several times, I tried to remove the device and matched on all peel them three codes (he made pair, installs drivers and shows well, but does not connect), I checked, I last Broadcom Dirvers, I checked that the BT from my computer connects to other devices (D100 Creative - no problem (, Rocketfish headphone with the hoops above) and also checked that the computer was not connected to another device. I checked that the AS-BT200 connect to other devices (connect to my I-Touch).

    No idea why this device breaks down or how I can get it to connect?

    Treamayne

    Hello

    Here is a solution I found which may be useful for you.

    If you go into the settings of your Bluetooth adapter, you should see a tab for Audio.

    No tab for Audio - tabs are Options, some COM Ports, hardware, sharing and PIM

    In this tab, you should see "Stereo Bluetooth Audio, headphone" listed. Highlight and select "connect".

    No parameters don't like that in the previously listed tabs.

    If this is not the case, the next step is to open the control panel and go to his. So for the first tab called reading. Who listed there, you should see the Bluetooth device you connected previously. Stress and make the default playback device.

    Playback of bluetooth device is grayed out without an active connection, and while it is gray, it does not define it as default playback device.

    All that said... today for no reason discernible he leaves not open the Bluetooth control window, but when I pressed the connect button that failed.  I reset everything and am now at the original error.  So I don't know why he has allowed an opening time of the control panel for the BT device or why the connection failed when he opened the window.  I will pursue other options and check with the technical support of Pioneer as well.  I'll post here if I get any where, but because I'm leaving on a 4-month business trip soon I can just put it out of this matter until the holiday when I get back.  Thanks to all who helped me this weird error.

    My abrupt A30 Satellite developed a problem when returning from standby mode. The system busy "Hourglass" is constantly and will not die. I have reploaded the power management utility since all options in 'Properties of power Option' are grayed out except for the "Power Meter" tab. It did make a difference.

    This problem appears at the beginning?
    Maybe the operating system has been installed there several times and now the registry entries are corrupted.
    This is why the system busy hourglass may appear.

    I m not 100% sure that this will help, but maybe you need to reinstall the whole OS
    On the new OS installed should all work a lot faster

    Thank you that worked for me even if I don't have to go to the Microsoft download website.  I checked the history of update and there were a few who failed to update.  He said there was updates had to wait to be downloaded so I clicked on that and then selected the updates, click on the bottom. I think he may have said then or download it now.  It took me back to the update page where I chose to update.  Which corrects the problem.  I have them one at a time incase there was a special that was causing problems, but they fine all the updates and my computer restarted normally

  • How to call the taskflow or bean method after returning from operational-stream-call activity.

    I use JDev 11.1.2.4.0.

    Here is my scenario:

    A page contains a table with a button 'Add' called a popup.  The popup has controls to select data and save/Cancel buttons.  The Save button calls a managed bean method will add a line to the iterator in the table is built on.  I'd like the table to refresh the closure of the pop-up window.

    This is how I implemented it:

    I have taskflow1 that contains an activity view (page1).  Page 1, I have a button that calls managedBean1.method1 () who does a job and returns a result of 'showpopup '.  ShowPopup goes to a task-flows-call activity, called taskflow2.  Taskflow2 has a point of view (page 2, which is presented as a popup) activity and a return.   I want to call a method in managedBean1 to refresh the table once the popup is closed and I can't understand the right way to do it.

    After writing this I wonder if I should create the popup in the calling page rather than creating a separate workflow.  I started with a separate workflow because the popup is a quite complex.

    Thanks for help.

    Rudy

    Add a listener to return the button 'Add '. It will be called by ADF Faces upon return of the taskflow. For example:

    useWindow = "true" windowWidth = "600" windowHeight = "400".

    action = "#{MyBean.Method1} '"

    returnListener = "#{MyBean.myReturnListener}" / >

    And the bean method:

    public void myReturnListener (ReturnEvent returnEvent)

    {

    Do something, for example to update the table on the screen

    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .addPartialTarget (myTable);

    }

    NB. don't forget to mark the taskflow call activity to 'run as dialog '.

    If you need the taskflow return result, you can get it in the earpiece to return via the method ReturnEvent.getReturnValue ().

  • Satellite P850-30W - the fan does not work after returning from the mode "Eve"

    I have a Toshiba Satellite P850 30W with bios 1.90.

    Sometimes the fan does not work at all after back mode standby on windows 7.
    What happened twice (perhaps several times without knowing me), and Ive had the computers for a month.

    Normally the fan starts to run when the CPU gets more than 50 degrees celsius and stops less than 50 celisus...

    I tried running Prime95 when this fan-this occurs and the time of the computer got dangerously high (near 100 degrees)! the fan did not start at all
    .. .This error could damage the laptop potentinally...
    to get the fan turns once again I have to restart windows

    anyone experienced this?
    I guess that the fix would be to never use standby... or toshiba needs to fix it with an update of the bios.

    > Sometimes the fan does not work at all after back mode standby on windows 7.
    > What has happened twice (perhaps several times without knowing me), and Ive had the computers for a month.

    You said it's happened twice and only sometimes done this means that above all the fans are working well?
    In this case, this would mean that it of difficult to reproduce this problem, but you might be right: maybe a BIOS update would help solve this problem permanently

    I found some discussions on the stand-by mode and fan activity and in most cases, the update of the BIOS was the key.

    I tried; disconnect all usb drives, updating the drivers of Intel 82801FB/FMB, update drivers from Nvidia 9800GT chipset, disable the write cache on the SATA drive, update the network drivers.

    System works perfectly otherwise. Its own BSOD during the return of the mode standby.

    I solved this problem just: my setup had 2 cd discs using the primary IDE channel and a Sata drive on the 2nd Sata channel.

    I bought the computer used and it was how it has been implemented (and it worked fine in this config without using sleep).

    It turns out that the HD (with the top OS) must be connected on the first channel of Sata (Sata (0) on my Dell) so he can wake up correctly the mode standby.

    I just disconnected the Sata round cable and moved to first, then changed the BIOS to reflect this change, and everything's fine.

  • Cannot delete messages in Windows Live Mail after returning from 10 of Windows to Windows 7

    Separated from this thread.

    Hello. Want to jump in here even if it is an old thread. I have the same problem and have tried all the suggestions, my problem actually started when I upgraded to my wife and many win 10 is not ready for the change, so I'm back to Win 7 Home Premium. I contacted Ms. Tech Chat and was told to uninstall Windows 7 to "perhaps" to solve the problem. This is not acceptable. Everyone has to come with a fix or work around.

    Want to jump in here even if it is an old thread.

    It is rarely a good idea. If the solution has not worked, it is always best to use the option to ask a question on the menu to participate to start your own thread. There are so many variables involved that universal solutions are difficult to find. This is especially true when the title of the thread in the validation is not specific. For example, you also see a reading UID store failederror message?

    I have the same problem...

    I doubt it, because...

    ... my problem actually started when I upgraded to win 10 and... returned to Win 7

    It's a completely different scenario that could not arise last May when the thread you posted in was up-to-date.

    It seems that many of those who go back to Windows 7 from Windows 10 experience a corruption of the store folder (the folder where messages, calendars and the account settings are stored). According to your storage folder is how complex (several accounts, calendars a lot, a lot of messages number of files), it can be simpler to just create a new storage folder and fills again:

    1. Looking at your list of messages in Windows Live Mail, press Ctrl-Shift-O for Options. On the Advanced tab, click Maintenance and then store the file. Copy the path to locate the storage folder.
    2. Close Windows Live Mail and wait a few minutes (the program will continue to run in the background, while he does his household).
    3. Press the Windows key + E to open an Explorer window, and then paste or type the path that you copied to the (1) in the address bar and press ENTER. This should open your storage folder.
    4. Right-click on the name of the folder in the navigation pane, and select Rename. Call the Live Mail Backup.
    5. A repair must check that all the program files are present and correct and properly registered, as appropriate. To do this, close all running programs, and then press Windows key + R, type wlarp and press ENTER. In the window that opens, select repair all Windows Essentials programs:

    When it is finished, restart the computer.
    1. Start Windows Live Mail and wait the program installs before doing anything. Press Ctrl-Shift-T to start the add your Assistant e-mail accounts and follow the prompts to add your e-mail accounts.
    2. Click once on the work online on the status bar and deconnecter disconnect Internet to avoid interference email downloads, and then use the file > import messages (I Alt - F) and point the wizard to the Live Mail Backup folder level. Do not intervene while the import happens.
    3. Leave the program alone for a while (an hour or two, or even a night or more) to enable him to reindex all your messages, then close and wait half an hour for the program to do his household.
    4. Relaunch the program and look at your messages under folder imported into storage folders. Take it slow, drag files out of any folder and drop in the location you want. Again, give the program time to re - indexing messages in their new location.

    Note that you can not drag files out of storage files. If you want to forward messages to a high plu account folder in the folders pane, you need to select messages to transfer, and then use the right click > move or copy folder. The controls are also available as buttons in the folders of the Ribbon tab.

  • Gel after returning from standby

    Windows 7 64 bit

    I use a lot of waiting. After that I wake the computer from sleep mode, it works as expected; but sometimes, when I run a program (usually VLC), the PC freezes, more input not possible, hard power off required. This isn't a problem of input device. The power button on my computer should cause the PC to stop but does not either when the system is frozen.

    If I do start VLC (or another program that causes the gel), the PC would either freeze during shutdown (power off), or follow these steps if I started the day before: the rotation of the drives down, monitors are not getting a signal more, cooling fans and the CPU fan still spinning. After about 5 minutes the PC turns off hard.

    When I turn on the PC after a hard stop, the message "Windows is not stopped correctly. You want to try safe mode? »

    I composed the PC myself, so I have to identify the material originally from the problem... If it was caused by the material. I know that it's not caused by my hard drives of 2 TB. I know there is a similar problem, caused by the slow rotation of the 2 TB drives implementation. I tested my system will detect the connected disks and it still frozen. Disable all startup items has not solved the problem.

    Yet another update:

    I recently installed Windows 7 new and frost have yet taken place. Only a few programs have been used:

    Chrome, Skype and VLC (since these seem to 'help' freezes)

    I also tried Ubuntu, where the system does not freeze. This could be because Ubuntu uses a different expectation.

    Currently I am in my old Win 7 installation and try different programs, not only not their use.

    Firefox instead of Chrome-> gel

    No VLC-> gel

    No Skype-> gel

    Thus, any of these programs makes my PC freeze

    ASRock (my mobo manufacturer) suspected hardware fault. Alas, I can't trace it either PSU or mobo.

    Install Windows 7 from scratch, I realized sleep (aka standby) is usable only if the video card drivers are installed. It may be that this device / driver is the culprit?

    Edit: it seems I found what caused the problem: Reader adobe flash (plugin). Since it is used by Chrome and firefox in watching Youtube, my system froze with the two programs. Since I updated the driver (including firefox only suggested) no more freezes have been held since a few days now. This may be premature if. I will present after a while to confirm.
    Meanwhile, I post a link to a thread that seems to focus on the same problem:

  • Impossible to install Acrobat Reader after returning from 10 Windows to Windows 7

    Hi, I tried all kinds of solutions to reinstall Acrobat Reader after you have reinstalled Windows seven. I get a message saying that the AcroRead.msi path is not available. I tried to use the cleaning tool and remove the Data/Adobe/Setup program and full of numbers, but it comes back!

    Help please!

    Hi and thanks for your response. I finally found a solution for download Winfix and to regulate the installation and uninstallation problem.

    The message that I continued to receive was the path to AcroRead.msi wasn't available.

    THX.
