Portege Z830 Flash Cards Fn + F8 shows not 3G

Hey people,

After installation of Windows 7 Prof 64 bit on my Flashcards Z830 works, BUT only Fn + F8 shows Wifi and Bluettoth. The selection for the 3G is missing. I tried already several orders for installation: pilot 3 G - VAP or VAP - 3 G...
Choose any and all on the switches on the 3G. 3G itself works.
Does anyone know what is the problem?

BR

And is the Portege Z830 supports 3G?
As far as I know not all units are equipped with a module 3G?

  • Satellite A200 - 1 M 4: Flash Cards are dark and not transparent after update v1.1.7

    Hello

You know Flash Cards is transparent and moving flashy when pressing the FN key.
After that I downloaded & installed PVAT 1.1.7.see card Flash became a dark, not transparent and does not move when you press FN plus (watch suddenly when pressing FN).

    What's wrong?

    PS. I have A200 - 1 M 4

    Thank you

Nothing is fake. It is simply a new version. Toshiba has offered this setting day and fixed a big problem. Using the latest version of Flash cards were very slow and it was very awkward. Toshiba has designed the new tool and transparency is no longer available.

I hope that you know very well that these settings are in need of more resources and laptop runs slower. But in the end I wonder: is it so important to you?

  • Portege Z830 - Windows restart issue - it does not completely restart

Although I now use 8.1 this problem has occurred with previous versions of Windows.

When I click on restart, the machine closes as expected, but does not restart completely.
The flash Toshiba screen does not appear, so that the Windows logo.

At this point, it crashes and the fan accelerates at full rate, with only the logo on the screen.
The version of the BIOS is Toshiba 3.90.
8.1 setting often issues calls for a restart and I would be happy to not always having to do it manually.

    Thanks in advance

Windows 8.1 does not perform a full stop down by default.
It access the hybrid stop mode.
I think that you should just disable this mode in Windows power options
Maybe it would improve the functionality of the system s notebook.

Is there some lack of software or another installation required.

    Can anyone help?

Have you changed anything in the configuration of the system?

Module 3G is recognized in Device Manager?
Please check this because due to lack and not installed 3 G driver, the sim module Ericsson would not be recognized by the system and the inserted sim card could not be processed.

  • Portege R830 - Win 8.1 Value Added Package (Flash cards)

    Hello.

First of all I would like to say that I used my Toshiba Portege R830 with all the operating systems since Windows 7 and I have never installed fresh OS.
That said, I could not use Intel WiDi on Win10 and had to return to Win8 (DVD which I happily bought as well as the upgrade).

I installed all the software Toshiba using Upgrade Wizard and for the first time since the 2011', there was no Flash cards available (drop-down menu shown with use of the Fn keys). I used to like 2.5 years on Win 8/8.1 and now his party and is not available to the installation...

WTF? After a week, I discovered that cards Flash is not present in VAP 1.6 (only in 1.5.X.X or earlier).
Unfortunately I can't install only stand-alone Flash cards (or can I?).

And here my question: if I install VAP 1.5 (with Flash cards), can I (ANYHOW) strengthen certain elements (such as system driver) without uninstalling the previous version of VAP?

From my experience when I run VAP 1.6 installer first thing it does is an uninstall complete previous versions.

Please help me! I can't imagine who thought that removing the 1.6 flash cards would be a good idea...

Driver Toshiba UE page provides the Key Utility for Windows 8 Upgrade feature Toshiba v1.00.6626.03.

So, if you have installed Value Added Package 1.6.0130. You must also install the key function Toshiba utility

(PC was left alone in the night on table)
I try to disconnect the battery and load without it, it did not help.

Indicator DC IN (first on the left):
Flashing orange indicates a problem with the power supply, initially, you should try plugging the adapter into a different power outlet. If she does still not work, please contact Toshiba support in your country.

((Deuxieme power light to the left):
Flashing orange indicates that the computer is in mode 'sleep' and that there is enough available power (mains or battery adapter) to maintain this State. In sleep mode indicator lights for a second and off for two seconds.

  • Portege M400 - Toshiba Flash Cards crashes on Vista

Toshiba Flash Cards crashes on Vista when windows is configured to use the standard color scheme "windows" under appearance settings, (for your information, I prefer to use this mode, vista runs faster, uses less energy and less ram system in this mode).

However, he does not plant immediately, on the contrary, it seems to crash whenever I flip the screen (which happens quite often that I m using a tablet pc) with the version previous software it crashed at startup but which seems to have been fixed with this version, although not completely, but when it blocks it completely will not close even if I force the Task Manager to end the process (rather than just the) Task).

    Hello

It is very interesting topic. Have you noticed the same thing using the Vista standard color palette?

  • Satellite P855 - Flash Card Utility does not work

The Flash card utility on my laptop doesn't work anymore since a few months. I used to be able to for example just press F12 to turn WiFi on or off. I would like to see also the map at the top of the screen, showing the pictogram of the WiFi is enabled/disabled.

    However, this no longer works.
If I now have to press F12, it simply works such as F12.
I need to press the Fn key and F12 to turn WiFi on or off.
I don't see the icons at the top of the screen more.

I don't remember a specific thing I have installed or made at the same time as the utility of the Flash Card stopped working. However, I made a lot of new facilities and the BIOS updates.

When I click on start > all programs > Toshiba > tools & utilities > Flash cards, I can change the settings.

However, everything I try, it won't work.
The version of the utility that I have now is version 3.3.4.64. I have also installed the utility of the card Flash again after you download it on the Toshiba site. It does not help as well.

I have a Toshiba Satellite P855 with Windows 7 (64-bit). Hope someone can help me solve this problem. Thank you!

    > If I now have to press F12, it simply works such as F12.
    > I need to press the Fn key and F12 to turn WiFi on or off.

You can enable and disable in the BIOS.
Go to BIOS (F2)-> Advanced tab-> the system setup
Here you can find the option called function keys mode (without pressing FN first)

Don t forget to save changes made in the BIOS before leaving the BIOS settings.

Others, like the light regulation (fn + f6/f7) and a keyboard light (fn + z) do not work.

Have you noticed this problem since the first day of purchase, or maybe after some 3rd party software installation or a few Windows updates?
If installation of the VAP or the update does not resolve it, then you should grab the laptop using Toshiba HDD recovery and should test it by using Notepad with the factory settings.

  • Qosmio F50 - 108 - Toshiba Flash Cards will not work with Windows 7

    Hello

anyone tried to install Windows Seven? I tried.
Everything works fine (Wlan, Lan, sound, etc.), but one thing is unable to work on my laptop: Toshiba Flash Cards.
I installed the driver, and nothing happened...

Any idea to solve this problem? Because I usually used it in Vista.

Thank you and sorry for my English ;-)

    Hello

The Toshiba Flash Cards has been designed for Windows Vista only

Windows 7 is very similar to the Vista and many pilots could and would go with Windows 7, but in very rare cases certain tools would not fully compatible

The Toshiba Flash Cards is not a driver; It s a utility that seems to be is not compatible with Windows 7

  • Keys FN + F2... F12, two finger scroll not working not Portege z830-10 q

    Hello

I just bought a Portege z830-10 q, and there are a few items that do not work.

FN + F2 to F12 shortcut keys don't really work, or any other nice combination of FN + SPACEBAR, etc., is not the button to disable the touchpad below the space bar.

Also, I can't get the function two finger scrolling works.
Interestingly, the FN + ESC and FN + F1 to work.

I saw something in a previous comment on flashcards, I checked that and tried to play with the settings, but they don't seem to work either.

Don't know if I need t download no additional driver.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    Hello

I assume you are using Win 7. Is this good?

In this case I recommend to uninstall the first added value package.
Then download the VAP driver Toshiba UE page and install the new.
You may need to reboot several times the system after removing the VAP.
Value added package contains a few essential tools that are in charge of mobile extra features like for example FN button feature.

By the way: the two fingers scrolling option must be checked in the control panel-> mouse-> last tab-> Advanced Settings button
You will find all the options of touchpad.

  • 1.60 BIOS does not recognize the USB bootable in Portege Z830

    Hello
I have a Portege Z830 with BIOS version 1.60. It runs an operating system, ubuntu, (without a windows OS, it is not possible to upgrade the BIOS). I have a USB bootable (debian, created by copying a .iso image using dd) which works on other computers, but not on this one. With the USB at the top of the boot priority, it is not recognized as a device start-up and the computer boots from the HARD drive. The boot is in legacy mode, no UEFI (there is no switch in the menu of the UEFI/legacy BIOS).

Pointers how to allow a booting from a USB key on this computer?

    Thank you and best regards,

    James

As you probably know, Toshiba does not support Linux so you can't upgrade the BIOS under Linux OS.
Also, it is not available to be installed from USB.

It runs as an application and must be run under Windows running.

  • Portege Z830 - 10 H - battery is not detected

    I have a Portege Z830 - 10 h for a month and have battery issues lately:
    -It will detect no battery and only works on an external power supply;
s ' there is a battery, it's not load - a message says '3% available, load', it lasts for hours and finally available toll-free.

I found some ideas for removing the battery and BIOS by default in this forum, but it is a ultrabook and I have no access to the battery. I tried the reset of the BIOS by default, but nothing has changed.

Any ideas before I go to the VAS? Thanks in advance.

In my opinion there is nothing you can do about it. Contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.
Why do experiments and wasting your time here. You paid your new laptop and it should work properly.

Request for replacement of the battery.
Do you know how to find the nearest service provider?
