  I just wanted to share a tip with you that cost me some time to work, about the sound reproduction of a Portege Z930.

  When I got my new Z930 - 14L, he was running Win7.
  I tried everything like you do when you get a new machine and it worked fine - including the audio playback.

Of course, you cannot simply disable or stop the central antivirus process, that would ruin some the whole point. :-)

  _So I installed Kaspersky suite on the machine (which automatically disables the Windows Defender) and the problem disappeared! _ it's probably the only time where the installation of an antivirus suite SOLVES a problem. :-)

  BTW, this is not probably limited to this antivirus product, simply play a bit with the Defender.

  I have serious problems with my new laptop Portege Z930-138. I wanted to downgrade from Win8 to Win7 and transferred my old iso of Win7 on a bootable USB.

  I changed the BIOSsetting CMS BIOS in order to boot from USB and it worked.
  But later, I deleted all partitions on my HARD drive in order to have a primary partition where to install my old Win7.

  However I can't do!

  Now I have 1 GB 119.1 unallocated space and there is no way to create a new partition from it.
  Also when I try to install Win7 it says the disc's style GPT.

  I also tried to convert it from the command prompt, but it does not work.

  You guys have any ideas what to do?

  First of all, your CPU is old and slow by today's standards, and clearly a faster CPU would do a faster job of making these backups.

  In the second place, it is a very large catalog file, 9.2 GB. (Are you sure that you watched the .lrcat file and not the amount of space occupied by the photos?) Yes, you are supposed to use Windows Explorer to find the size of the. LRCAT file. For comparison, my catalog with almost 30 000 images is only 1.75 GB.   You can reduce the size of the catalog file by clearing the history on each photo (this leaves the changes in place but you will be able to go back in history and see the sequence of steps that you used).   The last thing you might consider of doing backups until you go to sleep. Just leave Lightroom open until you go to bed, then close and let the process of backup with happiness.

  So, that's all that I can think of to make this faster process right now (other that to split the catalog file, which has many disadvantages). Faster processor, remove the story and let Lightroom its backups when you sleep.

Press F2 to enter setup F5 for diagnostics and F1 to reboot.

  First I made sure to rise properly. After I checked I entered the bios where I noticed that the drive is recognized in the details of the system. The model was correct, the capasity as well. Fashion was ahci.

  I ran the diagnostics and they couldn't locate a drive.

  So, is this an incompatibility? I checked for updates to the bios and I see I m to date on that. The player is surelly ok as I have tested on another pc...

  We recommend that you use the recovery disks that are you ready when you got your system to restore the image of the original on the SSD hard drive. Since they have the same size, it should work without problem.
