  The vertical line is a strong indication that your screen is failing.  You will need a technician to replace it.  It will be not cheap.  Make sure that they install EXACTLY the good screen.

  Your computer is capable of displaying web pages?  If so, it is online and there is another problem that causes this download produce this message.

  Go to the HP support website and find your computer model.  Then find the driver, you need and download and save to your desktop.  Once you do this close the browser, and then double-click the update of the driver.

Or the other thing you can do, is use the reliability monitor and to see after what event the problem started...

  LXCEtime.dll is a Lexmark file. If you have Lexmark/software installed on your computer, uninstall and reinstall the hardware/software Lexmark should solve the problem.

• Portege R500: Explorer crashes cured by installing the Driver Sound R600

  The equipped Portege R500 of Vista is a great phone except that mine Windows Explorer (not IE) kept crashing without obvious reason. The taskbar would suddenly become unresponsive and then I would get the opportunity to restart Explorer. Previously I tried to upgrade to version 6.0.1.5624 (from Windows Update on 2009-03-04) and 6.0.1.5477, which Toshiba Canada for the R500 question, but they were no better than 6.0.1.5400.

  I haven't noticed any bad Effect to have the pilot of 'bad '. Of course, it would be nice to have advice from Toshiba on this and to know if other people have had similar problems with their R500, but in the meantime, it's great to be able to use it without the bar all the time freezing of tasks.

  To be honest, I can't imagine that Windows Explorer may hang so easy with the settings.
  All the preinstalled images are tested and if there is a serious problem you need to Toshiba. But anything is possible.

  Vista does not send these messages and cannot be configured to do this (progress or when it is done or if it succeeded or failed).  The only way to make sure is to plug and then, go to start / Control Panel / Device Manager and check for the device and click on it for more information on its status.  You can also check if the appliance does not work - it's probably faster and more accurate.  Many USB devices indicate their status by starting to work (a mouse begins to scroll, a USB flash drive or an external USB drive to bring the Autorun screen or appear in the Windows Explorer,...) and USB devices tend to start working quickly enough so it should not be a long wait.

  It's very simple. You must first install the WinZip software. You can also use the WinRAR.
  The WinRAR does the same job as Winzip but in my view it of much better and easier.

  So as said install WinRAR, download driver Toshiba and unzip the folder of the driver!
  Then, you will get a new folder with the driver inside.

  Access the new created folder and complete the driver installation.

  There is a driver recommended relatively complete for the Deskjet 6540 written by HP and Microsoft via Windows Update.  If the automatic install does not work, perform the following steps: connect the printer by USB.  Click Start, devices and printers, adding a printer, select the appropriate port and when the list of printers, click Windows Update in the lower right part of the dialog box.  It will take a few minutes for the update to complete, once that he choose the Deskjet HP (Hewlett-Packard no) 6500 Series.

  If for some reason you can't use the driver provided through Windows Update, you can download the driver from the Windows Catalog site.  The Windows Catalog site requires the use of Internet Explorer.  For the Dsekjet 6500 Series there are three drivers listed.  11.4 Mo is the x 86 32-bit driver.  11.6 Mb file is x 64 64 bit version.  13.9 MB file is the least common architecture IA64.
