Possible bad SPA2102.

I'm in a game of tennis to tech support. The news is: I initially installed two days ago and things were great. Now I have one of three levels of failure. No dial tone. I can call, I get a ring, he goes to the busy signal or can I make a call with a soft rattling seconds toutes.75 the other end can hear. Incoming calls also get a msg "out of Service".

Now, with no other devices online I 1.2/.7 GB ADSL. When I * try * to make a call and run the test (http://minneapolis.speedtest.qwest.net/) it fails me with latency issues. Qwest reports my ping to 70 to 120 and said players would kill for her. Now my VOIP (VOIPGO) says it's a problem of about 100ms latency and a 120 means no dial tone than a ping over 75 can cause problems, a ping of 100 will cause problems. They also say that the spa2102s never fail.

Now, I see two questions they can't answer, or at least agree on. With huge bandwidth, pings are acceptable and can the SPA2102 flooding my connection?

Check back. the problem was that the SPA should be between the modem and the router DSL. Not through the router. Even with the priorities set for the SPA, the WRT160n is too slow.

    If you have still this detail iWork ' 09 DVD, you will need to reinstall after the upgrade of the El Capitan and then apply Update Apple iWork 9.3 to Pages ' 09 v4.3 - a sine qua non for compatibility El Capitan. The update, you'll have to v2.3 Numbers and Keynote 5.3 too. Note that I put the emphasis on a retail DVD iWork ' 09.

    I have Pages ' 09 installed v4.3 here on El Capitan 10.11.4 and it works fine. There are a few problems with the hyphenation does not properly, it lack signs of fusion and mailing functionality and the menu share: mail is unusable.

    Apple will not warn us that a next version of OS X break iWork ' 09 applications. They have retired and don't give it any thought.

    Skip the installation of any Keynote v6 applications, current page v3 and v5 numbers because they are not based and complete rewrites on the original code of iWork ' 09. They are subsets of function iWork ' 09 and introduce new, incompatible documents formats using the same file name extension. Alert from the quagmire.

    Before that you plan to upgrade, set a new post on the community of El Capitan points to consider before upgrading to Snow Leopard to El Capitan. It will give you good ideas to prevent the possible bad steps.

    My thoughs is that the image is corrupt.

    The error that you declare, is a fault with the Vista disk image cannot be applied to the hard drive.

    Which you used 2 recovery discs of different product, which would indicate that there is not support for product recovery but a defective hard drive, possibly bad sectors on the hard disk.

    If the laptop is in it duration of warranty, then give Toshiba a call for the book on deposit for a repair of the equipment.

    I tested this configuration on 3 different systems (also running Windows XP Pro SP3)...

    The PXI chassis is turned on first before the computer (card PCI-8330, where)

    All 3 systems have the same sound as the BIOS is frozen and no MESSAGE product, be it. But if the PXI chassis is not enabled then the system boots right. .. ?

  • Pavilion g7 - 1117cl: lost usb port in the laptop

    My wife tried to update to Windows 10.

    He has totally failed and 'lost' the drivers for the USB ports so that she cannot use her mouse.

    We spent MANY hours on the phone with Microsoft as they took control of the laptop and tried to fix it.

    Finally they told us that they believe there is some sort of virus on the disk, they can not delete? and that the laptop should have something on the 'partition' on the disk.

    They were not very clear about this, but he told us to contact HP.

    Our warranty has expired.

    Given this, if I do an original factory reset this will fix the problem or a virus caused a wrong to prevent a resumption of this way?

    Microsoft seems to think that a reset would not fix the problem.

    The laptop came with all the discs.

    We are NOT any sort of expert on computers, so we do not understand much of what they told us and we had problems to understand the accent of the person who was working on the issue.

    Thanks for posting back.  Yes at this point, you will need perform a recovery of the plant on the laptop.  He's going to wipe the drive clean of any possible bad guys and set it back to the original configuration.

    Earlier, I asked why the SP3 update to my SP2, explains a backup should be performed.  I was also asked why it was not conducted earlier. I'm still on SP2.  I don't want to lose the programs and software on my computer.  A backup really protect software as Front page?  With my answers provided the links and explanations, of course, I have not clicked.  People put these links in there for my benefit, but I still understand you're not not to click.  What I have to do is to try them on a computer that can take a bullet.

    While you're wise to be cautious about possible bad things that can happen to a PC, you must realize that the mere fact of being online (for example, only the reading e-mail) will ALWAYS have its risks.

    The irony is that because Windows has a large number of security vulnerabilities, the chances that your PC has been compromised (as well as your personal identity and financial information) is VERY high because you do not have a connected system! A system of Windows XP SP2 is VERY precarious. In fact, a number of people would like to recommend that you perform a clean install because of this.
    For links, you can reduce the risk of passing the mouse over the link to verify that it does not change. In other words, if you receive an email from 'phishing' of what you THINK is your credit/bank card company (let's say it's Chase) and the link LOOKS good, the mouse over it and see if decides to link to a strange name that is not familiar.
    But if a MS MVP as PA porter provides a link, I don't know that it will be safe.
    Here are mousing over the examples:

    You're foolish to not be backing up your system! A reliable backup of the system WHOLE (by creating a clone or image of the ENTIRE disk) is the only way to protect your system, including ALL the programs installed on it! I prefer the image of the hard drive. Acronis True Image works fine. There are other programs, too, such as Paragon and Macrium Reflect, that to do this.

    Thank you for your message.  This computer connects to your printer via the USB port?  If Yes, are you able to use other USB devices on your computer?  You can try to change the output port the printer is connected to exclude a possible bad USB port on your computer.  Otherwise, if USB is detected on your computer and that you can't always not to recognize the printer, the result is most likely a bad cable or a defective printer.

  • Cannot run Chksk...

    Hello, I have problems with chkdsk.

    When CHKDSK runs at startup it freezes during step 2, so I can't run it at startup.
    I checked the drive using the command prompt "fsutil dirty query c:" and confirmed the disc to be dirty. I then restarted the PC in safe mode and run "chkdsk /f C:" tried, but I got this error:

    The type of file system is NTFS.
    Cannot lock the current drive.

    Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. You want to schedule this volume to check the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

    I chose to do not to run it at startup, because of the problem of gel.

    I also ran the manufacturer diagnostic tool and it came clean on the quick and full scans.

    Recently, I got a blue screen error as well, but I have been unable to enter the error code, so I don't know if it's related...

    P.S. I accidentally posted this on the vista forums... In the case where someone wondered why he looked familiar.

    could someone tell me what error code data 0F00:0244 incorrigible is and if there is anyway it from the disk installation or in any case to try running system restore?

    It is generally an area of possible bad hard drive (hdd) and the hard drive is a failure, needs to be replaced. the chance to do a system restore is extremely thin. It seems that the damage had occurred in the area of BONE that files is why restoring the system probably does not work.

    You should not be cloning everything that duplicates all even possible bad sectors on the hard drive

    You create a system image in place and restore this image on the new SSD

    You can also use this image of the system if you win 10 is average to unstable to be reliable

  • Windows 7 connection help

    Went to sign in my profile and it starts to load so I can put my password but just goes back to the main screen with profile pictures. It doesn't let me not even an option to type a password. I tried safe mode several different ways with no luck. The furthest I can enter in Windows is the profile page. (where you pick what profile to sign in) I tried all the profiles and they all do the same thing. I tried to restart of lay successful reboot and it still does the same thing. Any ideas?

    • Solves the problems that occurred while users are connecting to the system. For example, after that only a user rebooted the computer, and then you press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to logon screen, the screen flashed and then went black. The user is then unable to continue. There may be similar problems of logon that are related to this issue.

    Give it a read, IF this is your problem, it should help.

    I own a Dell Inspiron 580.  Recently formatted my computer and now I get a random crash once a day.  This is the info that I can find in the event log if that helps.  Let me know if I can give you more information to solve this problem.  It's very frustrating.  It seems to happen when I alt tab of a game for a window.

    Which should I download?

    You can either download the pre-compiled. ISO you want to burn to a CD and then boot from the CD, or you can download the automatic installer of the USB. What this will do is format your USB drive, make a boot device and then install the necessary files. Both do the same job, it's just you that you choose, or you have available (be it CD or USB).

    Note that some older generation motherboards do not support USB boot, your only option is CD (or floppy if you really wanted to).

    How does Memtest (you don't need to read, it's only for those interested in the details):

    Memtest uses algorithms (more precisely two), namely move reversal & what is considered Modulo-X. Essentially, the first algorithm filling memory with a pattern. From the address down, it checks to see if the model has been changed (it should not be), wrote the complement of bosses, increments the address and repeats. To from the highest address (as opposed to the lower), it follows the same checklist.

    The second algorithm is due to some limitations, the first being that all adjacent cells are currently tested for interaction due to modern chips being from 4 to 16-bit wide on the storage of data. That said, bosses are used to move forward and ensure that all adjacent cells have at least been written with all the possible combinations of a and zero.

    The second is that cache, buffer and disorderly execution implementation will interfere with the moving inversions algorithm. However, the second algorithm is not affected by this. For the offsets of 0-20 start, the algorithm will write every 20th location with a pattern, write all other locations with the addition of bosses, repeat the previous (or more) times and then check each location 20 for the reason mentioned previously.

    Now that you know how Memtest actually works, it is important to know that tests it passes through all mean something different. It will test 0 through 12 trials, which many use one or the other algorithm discussed above, among many other things.
