Possible equipment to wireless adapter?
I have a laptop Dell Inspiron N7110, equipped with a network adapter Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030. Running Windows 7 Home Premium. My network adaptor appears physically damaged. I'm 10 feet away from my router and I have a bad connection. Could it be damaged or simply disconnected? If it is not physical, and it's a software problem, then please note: LogMeIn Hamachi is installed.

I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-7000, equipped with the Ralink RT5390R wireless adapter. For the life of me, I can't get it to connect to my home network when implemented as 802.11n. They connect other devices. If I change my router 802.11 g, but no other change, doe HP connect. But if I return the router to 802.11n, HP sees the network, and it correctly identifies as a 802.11n network, but does not connect.
The router is a D - Link DIR-615 (N300 2.4 ghz)
All this experience? All solutions?
Woo-Hoo.
Found a solution. Both HP and windows said I had the most current drivers, but this HP forum had a link to a newer driver. Installed and it worked.

Want to M6 1225DX: updated HP Envy M6 1225DX wireless adapter
I'm looking to upgrade the card wireless in my HP Envy M6 1225DX. Here are a few features on the machine:
Product # D1E93UA #ABA
CPU: Intel i5 - 3230M @ 2.6GHz
RAM: 8 GB DDR3 SDRAM
GPU: Intel HD graphics 4000
Wireless: Ralink RT5390R 802.11bgn Wifi adapter
OS: Windows 7 x 64 (I know that HP does not support this)
BIOS version: F.26
The wireless adapter that is currently installed (Ralink RT5390R) only supports SISO and the download speed tops out around 18-20Mbps. I'm looking to replace this card with a card compatible MIMO and bluetooth, for example a 7260 Intel.
I read on several forums that HP basically whitelists some cards wireless in BIOS. I have reviewed the maintenance manual and it has a list of compatible cards I listed below:
- Atheros WiFi 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 9485GN and 3012 adapter Bluetooth 4.0
- Atheros 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 Bluetooth adapter Combo WB225
- Broadcom 4313GN 1 × 1 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 adapter 802.11b/g/n 20702
- Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N WLAN 6230
- MediaTek MT7630E 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter and adapter Mediatek Bluetooth 4.0
- 1 × 1 Ralink RT5390R 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter
- RALink RT3290LE 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 690020-001 1 × 1
- Atheros AR9565 1 × 1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 802.11b/g/n
- Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 WLAN for the Japan only
These are the only cards I can run in this machine? I also read somewhere that HP no wireless adapter like whitelisting in the BIOS, and if that's the case, would a BIOS update fixed this problem?
I've been watching the 7260 Intel, but I don't know if it would work and would not order it and he has no job. This adapter could work in this phone or I am I'm confined to the list given in the service manual? If I'm limited to the above list, no matter what recommendatins to the adapter that will give me what I'm looking for?
Basically, what I'm looking for in a wireless adapter is:
- Supports A/B/G/N and AC at 2.4 Ghz and 5.8 Ghz bands.
- More high speed possible
- Bluetooth 4.0
- 1/2 height Mini PCIe form factor
Thanks for the help
Hello
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!
I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your m6-1225dx HP ENVY Notebook and supported wireless cards. Yes, these are the cards that are supported in your notebook and fortunately will work with your graphics card and processor. Some say that just restore BIOS to factory default help if you decide to go with your choice. You could restore the BIOS withthis document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings.

Re: Wireless adapter change/upgrade on Satellite L850 - 1 H 4
Hello
I have the laptop mentioned above, but I don't like the wireless adapter, because of this, I can't use my router on 802.11 a/c, most of the other devices to recognize the network. If I want to ask if its possible to change the adapter with one that takes care of a/c. I tried with usb but they are great, and I don't like them, + is not the same thing, unless you are buying very expensive.
Thanks in advance!
Generally speaking its possible to remove and replace the internal miniPCI module.
This shouldn't be a big problem even if the warranty is not valid after this replacement. However, I don't very well if the BIOS recognize new module correctly m.
Sometimes new pieces of hardware are not supported by s notebook WHAT BIOS and this can cause some side effects like no system crashes or startBut like I said above; It of possible remove the module but laptop manufacturer doesn't provide any support for these upgrades.

Satellite Pro L40 - wireless adapter does not work - Vista
I recently had some problems with my laptop.
A couple of weeks, I put in a disc of OpenSuse.
It's not stable anything, but locked me out of my original Vista operating system.I reinstallled Vista Home Basic, but there are a few problems.
Mainly, my wireless adapter does not work. When I flip the button to turn it on nothing happens and it is not recognized in Windows.
I installed Atheros Driver, but still nothing happens, light is not yet.Any advice?
Hello
First check the device-> network adapters area manager
You see the WLan card? Or the unknown device appears? If there is an unknown device, then the WLan driver has not been installed correctly or you tried to install a driver badly these two options are possible.
Remember that your wireless network card? Maybe it was a Realtek WLan card?
If it's a Realtek WLan card, try the WLan driver from the Realtek website and look for 802.11 g (RTL8187B) chip or you will simply check the page of the European driver Toshiba too the Realtek WLan driver also appeared on the Toshiba page

I bought this computer in June and a few months ago problem started.
Problem 1: System suddenly stop and not the work of keyboard or mouse.
Problem 2: When starting up, it freezes and need to hard reboot by pressing power botton
Problem 3: more than half of computer time not connecting wireless and Device Manager shows that there is no wireless adapter
[personal information deleted] and product number is J5R51AV
To resolve this problem, I tried to update the window 7-10, which was not helpful.
Also tried format for making adjustment that is not useful and interesting there still window 10 instead of 7.
Any advice will really appreciate.
You have a 1 year warranty which will expire soon. This sounds like a hardware problem that I would have solved as soon as possible. Fill out the form here to launch a support ticket:

«Problem with access point or wireless adapter»
Hi, I just bought a new laptop & I have the extreme difficulty to stay connected to the internet. When I run Windows Network Diagnostics, error reads 'Problem with wireless adapter or access point' and fails to solve the problem. Help, please... Thank you, MariaHI Maria,
· What operating system is installed on your computer?
· You have installed the latest drivers for wireless network card?
Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Error message from Norton 3039 65553 filter manager not lit
Disconnected Error Message wireless adapter
IMO, this kind of response is yet another reason to remove all Symantec software 'security' of your computer.
As far as I know, Microsoft Windows Filter Manager is software that is designed to be used by third-party developers (it is in this case Symantec) for simply integrating their software in Windows. It is not controlled by the user.
That said, it is possible (no guarantee) If you provide information in Event Viewer that relates to the crib of filter, someone here may be able to help.
- Open the event viewer (start > run > eventvwr > OK)
- Look in the Application logs and system warnings and errors
- Double-click a warning or an error of knowledge (properties)
- If the Filter Manager produces an error, it will probably be in the system log
- When (if) you find an entry that relates to the Manager of Windows filters, click on the "copy" icon in the properties of the page (just below the up/down arrows) and paste the information into your answer here "
But you should consider seriously really get Norton Removal Tool and Norton replacement with something else.
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good free antivirus solution and eSet NOD32 Antivirus is a good business idea.

Hello
Not a lot of phones are supported 3 wireless antennas and as the Ultimate-N 6300 wireless cards. I have the card myself on Dv6 but is the 1st generation of the Core i7 processors and also modding the BIOS was necessary to make the card compatible with the laptop. Intel 6150 and 6230 are compatible with series Dv6-6000 Intel based laptops but not the Ultimate-N 6300.

Update wireless adapter on Sony Vaio VPCF23EFX
Hi all
I want to improve my Atheros AR9287 wireless adapter that came with my Vaio laptop.
I try to have the party upgrade compatible with the dual-band standard and therefore, compatible with our new 802.11ac 802.11ac router.
1 is it possible?
2 the warranty of your laptop?
3. what features should I know to make sure that I have replace the Atheros AR9287 with a compatible part?
4. any consideration that everyone thinks I should be aware?
Thank you
edsager
Simple answer is probably yes. From my experience, Sony doesn't have a white list of BIOS for WLAN and WWAN like HP or Lenovo cards (right I CALL YOU OF HP and Lenovo!)
Your computer has an access panel at the bottom of the laptop user? If so, have you tried to open it to see what is available? Most manufacturers make the adapter wireless network accessible from the bottom panel or under the keyboard.
I can't say what expansion supported by your portable computer based on interface specifications:
But it is probably mini PCIe or mini PCI. The difference is quite obvious because of the size and the number of connectors. M2 is the new interface used by the last SSD and some WLAN adapters, but the probability that your computer is using m2 is weak.
See Mini PCIe vs Mini PCI
http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express#PCI_Express_Mini_Card
See m2
http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/M.2
This type of upgrade should not void your warranty, because it's an aftermarket upgrade, not a change (for example cooling mods, because you replacings stock thermal compound and by adding coppershims etc to make this kind of change), however, to keep the old card around in the case where you have to call support because they like stock options in laptops before providing support if they tell me that they fully support you because they don't know if updates of spare caused problems, blah blah blah.

Very randomly while I'm connected my computer won't go to any link and said I have no connection. I then try to solve the problem and it says to turn on my wireless adapter, but button is pressed and the light is on, so I turn it works without success. Then he tells me to check my router or a modem that always works so my ISP is not the problem. When this occurs, the computer does not have network connections, and has a red x beside the bars wireless not saying no connectivity, even give me the possibility to see the available wireless networks. The problem will persist until the computer is restarted, or the windows Explorer is restarted.
Any ideas? Thank you.

The latest driver for your WIRELESS Intel network card is v 13.5.0 from 04/03/11.
If this is the driver you have, then this is the most recent.
If this isn't the case, you can give it a try, since you have nothing to lose. You shouldn't have to put up with unstable connections. I hope that the last version of driver if you are not running currently, solve your connection problems.
I have included two versions of ILO since you listed only you had W7...
