Hello

Not a lot of phones are supported 3 wireless antennas and as the Ultimate-N 6300 wireless cards. I have the card myself on Dv6 but is the 1st generation of the Core i7 processors and also modding the BIOS was necessary to make the card compatible with the laptop. Intel 6150 and 6230 are compatible with series Dv6-6000 Intel based laptops but not the Ultimate-N 6300.

    Good evening!

I bought this laptop earlier today and was surprised that the wireless card is not dual-band (I should have checked). I am very lucky and have 250 Mbit/s to the internet down fiber at home, so I really need 5 GHz to enjoy the speed. Is it possible to update the card in this laptop, or do I have to go back and choose another laptop?

I had everything working properly. However, after automatically an update of windows, the wireless adapter has disappeared. She can still be seen in the Device Manager window.

  • Want to M6 1225DX: updated HP Envy M6 1225DX wireless adapter

I'm looking to upgrade the card wireless in my HP Envy M6 1225DX.  Here are a few features on the machine:

    Product # D1E93UA #ABA

    CPU: Intel i5 - 3230M @ 2.6GHz

    RAM: 8 GB DDR3 SDRAM

    GPU: Intel HD graphics 4000

Wireless: Ralink RT5390R 802.11bgn Wifi adapter

OS: Windows 7 x 64 (I know that HP does not support this)

    BIOS version: F.26

The wireless adapter that is currently installed (Ralink RT5390R) only supports SISO and the download speed tops out around 18-20Mbps.  I'm looking to replace this card with a card compatible MIMO and bluetooth, for example a 7260 Intel.

I read on several forums that HP basically whitelists some cards wireless in BIOS.  I have reviewed the maintenance manual and it has a list of compatible cards I listed below:

    • Atheros WiFi 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 9485GN and 3012 adapter Bluetooth 4.0
    • Atheros 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 Bluetooth adapter Combo WB225
    • Broadcom 4313GN 1 × 1 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 adapter 802.11b/g/n 20702
    • Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N WLAN 6230
    • MediaTek MT7630E 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter and adapter Mediatek Bluetooth 4.0
    • 1 × 1 Ralink RT5390R 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter
    • RALink RT3290LE 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 690020-001 1 × 1
    • Atheros AR9565 1 × 1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 802.11b/g/n
    • Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 WLAN for the Japan only

These are the only cards I can run in this machine?  I also read somewhere that HP no wireless adapter like whitelisting in the BIOS, and if that's the case, would a BIOS update fixed this problem?

I've been watching the 7260 Intel, but I don't know if it would work and would not order it and he has no job.   This adapter could work in this phone or I am I'm confined to the list given in the service manual?  If I'm limited to the above list, no matter what recommendatins to the adapter that will give me what I'm looking for?

Basically, what I'm looking for in a wireless adapter is:

    • Supports A/B/G/N and AC at 2.4 Ghz and 5.8 Ghz bands.
    • More high speed possible
    • Bluetooth 4.0
    • 1/2 height Mini PCIe form factor

    Thanks for the help

    Hello

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your m6-1225dx HP ENVY Notebook and supported wireless cards. Yes, these are the cards that are supported in your notebook and fortunately will work with your graphics card and processor.  Some say that just restore BIOS to factory default help if you decide to go with your choice.

You could restore the BIOS withthis document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings.

    Thank you.

  • Update wireless adapter on Sony Vaio VPCF23EFX

    Hi all

I want to improve my Atheros AR9287 wireless adapter that came with my Vaio laptop.

I try to have the party upgrade compatible with the dual-band standard and therefore, compatible with our new 802.11ac 802.11ac router.

    1 is it possible?

2 the warranty of your laptop?

    3. what features should I know to make sure that I have replace the Atheros AR9287 with a compatible part?

    4. any consideration that everyone thinks I should be aware?

    Thank you

    edsager

Simple answer is probably yes. From my experience, Sony doesn't have a white list of BIOS for WLAN and WWAN like HP or Lenovo cards (right I CALL YOU OF HP and Lenovo!)

Your computer has an access panel at the bottom of the laptop user? If so, have you tried to open it to see what is available? Most manufacturers make the adapter wireless network accessible from the bottom panel or under the keyboard.

I can't say what expansion supported by your portable computer based on interface specifications:

    http://eSupport.Sony.com/us/p/model-home.pl?MDL=VPCF23EFX&template_id=1&Region_ID=1&tab=manuals#/man...

But it is probably mini PCIe or mini PCI. The difference is quite obvious because of the size and the number of connectors. M2 is the new interface used by the last SSD and some WLAN adapters, but the probability that your computer is using m2 is weak.

See Mini PCIe vs Mini PCI

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express#PCI_Express_Mini_Card

    See m2

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/M.2

This type of upgrade should not void your warranty, because it's an aftermarket upgrade, not a change (for example cooling mods, because you replacings stock thermal compound and by adding coppershims etc to make this kind of change), however, to keep the old card around in the case where you have to call support because they like stock options in laptops before providing support if they tell me that they fully support you because they don't know if updates of spare caused problems, blah blah blah.

  • Toshiba stor. Connection wireless adapter E smartphone problem

    Hello world.
I have a shop. E wireless adapter I can not connect with some devices. When I use my laptop, it works perfectly. I also tried with a s4 Galaxy and a Note 2, both work.

My Samsung Galaxy 4 marks used to connect to this subject when I was on 4.4 kitkat firmware, I could access my hard drive without any problem. But since I upgraded 5.0.1 is not connected to its network Wi - Fi. I updated the adapter android app wirelessly on game store that shows an improvement on the lollipop. I also have the problem of connection with my sister's computer, it shows the Wi - Fi, but can't type the password.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

  • HP dv6-6c10us: HP dv6-6c10us Broadcom 802.11n wireless adapter does not work after windows 10 installed

I have a laptop HP dv6-6c10us with a Broadcom 802.11n wireless adapter.  It worked fine on Win 7.  When I upgraded to win 10, it has stopped working.  The driver has not been updated since 06/02/13.

Until the driver is updated by Broadcom or HP, this computer is now a desktop computer.

Any suggestions on how to get the adapter wireless on Windows 10?

I recommend you to go back and do a system restore to a point before started to install the automatic updates, and where worked the wireless.

Then download this tool that stops updates to install automatically.

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/3073930

Hide all of them and then install one by one until you find the one that is to destroy the wireless connection.

When you have found the culprit just hide it again and it will not be installed.

You can create a system restore point each time you install an update.

Tedious, but you should get where you want to be.

    Hello

If you have the card WLAN MiniPCI Agere, the system needs to install the following registry key with the WLAN card driver:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE es\Pcmcia\Parameters]
    "IrqRouteToPciController" = dword:00000006

I found a statement of installation:

    1. new installation of Windows XP Service Pack 2 package
or clean install Windows XP Gold package and install Service Pack 2 update image on it.
2 copy the TICardBusIrqRouting.reg on the system, and then click the file on the system.
    3. the following window will appear,
"Are you sure that you want to add the information in xxxxx\DISABL ~ 1.REG in the registry.
    Then select "Yes".
xxxxx is the location of TICardBusIrqRouting.reg
    4. the next window will appear,
"Information in xxxxx\DISABL ~ 1.REG have been entered in the register."
    Then click on 'OK '.
xxxxx is the location of TICardBusIrqRouting.reg
    5 restart the system

    Good luck!

  • Slow WiFi on Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 wireless adapter on HP Pavilion 500-120EA 8.1 Windows

This wireless adapter is extremely slow that causes ping high during the game. The game I tried was League of legends. The artheros adapter showed the ping MS 1000 +.

So I decided to see if the necessary driver updated. When you go to Device Manager to update, it showed that she needed no updates.  Also checked on the hp site and it showed that I have the latest version of the driver. So I checked the Atheros website and I didn't have the latest version of the driver. So I intalled the latest driver at 10.0.0.263 10.0.0.270.

Yet once I tried the game to see if there is an improvement with Internet and again he showed my ping 1000 + Ms. has not changed at all. No improvement.

I did troubleshoot and it sort of something I do not know what but. No change.

I also changed the powersaver maximum for the wireless card. No change.

Several times I looked at task manager network, it shows send and receive to be at 16/08/32 Kbps or sometimes even zero Kbps. The table looks very small and its value on the chart was of 100 Kbps.

However, I don't see a difference during the videos to youtube or browsing the Internet. Here, the speed is very good. Even during the speedtest, speed showed a ping from 43ms. sending / receiving packets are indicated in 00' sKbps Mbps. The table is not stable it flucatuates strongly.

So I change my card a blekin N300 wireless and all the problems I've had are solved. The ping playing League of legends is 40-70 m send it / receive packets similar to the atheros AR9485 rae but I've seen go up to 88 Kbps at its highest level.

So what can I do to fix the Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 wireless adapter?

    Any help is appreciated.

    What can I do else?

Just an update to someone else who has had this problem for the channel 11 wireless channel setting should do the trick.

  • 2800-400 BIOS update will allow LAN wireless 802.11 g?

I recently bought a Belkin 54 G cardbus wireless adapter for use with my Satellite 2800-400, which has a Windows ME OS.
The installer would not install a driver, even if I was told to be supported.

I wrote to Belkin and they told me that it was because the BIOS of the laptop did not support wireless 802.11 g and that I should update the BIOS. I've updated to version 2 of the BIOS, but it made no difference.

I don't know if the Belkin instructions were on the right track or if they were they just push the responsibility too far from themselves as they could.
Please can someone tell me if my laptop supports 802.11 g wireless, with or without the BIOS upgrade?

    Hello

I m not 100% sure that if your laptop supports a local network because wireless connection I put t found any information about it. But as far as I know it s not necessary to update the BIOS with the wireless card works.
