Re: Wireless adapter change/upgrade on Satellite L850 - 1 H 4
Hello
I have the laptop mentioned above, but I don't like the wireless adapter, because of this, I can't use my router on 802.11 a/c, most of the other devices to recognize the network. If I want to ask if its possible to change the adapter with one that takes care of a/c. I tried with usb but they are great, and I don't like them, + is not the same thing, unless you are buying very expensive.
Thanks in advance!
Generally speaking its possible to remove and replace the internal miniPCI module.
This shouldn't be a big problem even if the warranty is not valid after this replacement.
However, I don't very well if the BIOS recognize new module correctly m.
Sometimes new pieces of hardware are not supported by s notebook WHAT BIOS and this can cause some side effects like no system crashes or start
But like I said above; It of possible remove the module but laptop manufacturer doesn't provide any support for these upgrades.

Satellite L850-18 t has problems to connect to new wireless router
Hello
I have a serious question that, at the present time, he cannot know. Basically 2 days ago I bought a new router because the other more old has stopped working. And I bought Tenda router. Since that day I have problems connecting with my Toshiba Satellite L850-18 t - I have never had similar problems before.
I put the security of the router for wpa - psk with aes encriptación mode option. The laptop connected and worked fine, but the next day, he has not suddenly connect more. So I went to check the option, everything was allright. Troubleshooting gave me the following error: "problem with wireless adapter or access point. I tried to reboot wlan driver, but nothing happened. The only thing that seems to help is to change the security WPA2-PSK mode (or vice versa), restart my laptop and it connects then.
Anyone have some clue what happens? It must be something with my laptop settings, because all other devices (another computer toshiba laptop but older, a PC and android devices) work perfectly.
Among the specifics on laptop:
-Computer laptop Toshiba Satellite L850-18 t
-Network cards:
-AR9485WB-EG atheros wireless network adapter
-Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
-Router: TendaThank you!

What I see is that we have same wireless Chipset, Tenda use Ralink or Broadcom chipsets, which are compatible with our wifi cards, then I would tell you my opinion do 1st updated drivers on your laptop, I use the latest x 64 win10, atheros version drivers 10.0.0.326, then go and upgrade your routers firmware! I don't know it will solve your problem, by the way check firmware of the laptop is the last 6,80 I think!

Satellite Z830 - drop out Wireless adapter / conflict with USB
My Z830 Satellite has a weird problem. Wireless connectivity works well until I have plug in a usb key into the usb port 3 on the side. The wireless, then falls after a period and then it does not find the available wireless connections. It effectively kills the wireless adapter, or at least makes it less reliable.
You must restart to recover the connection. I tried with several different usb storage devices with the same result. Both wireless and usb drive work fine, but not at the same time. This occurs regardless if the use of the battery or when it is plugged. I checked the power settings to ensure there wasn't a problem there. Everything is right on install/factory in general settings, so I can't imagine that's all what I changed.
I'm at work, but I'll see if I have the same problem with the usb at the back, or a disk takes hard usb powered, when I get home. It's really annoying, because you cannot use the net and let in a usb disk without risking a fall on the. I haven't checked messing around with settings of USB root hub or from IRC, as it seems unlikely. Any thoughts or is a matter of "give it back to Toshiba" - I'd rather not have the downtime. It took me a while to work on this has been the problem.
The wireless connection is very strong when the ultrabook is used, so is not a question of signal strength.
Hello
To be honest, I've ever read on similar issues.
Did you check if the problem occurs with other ports USB or does it use a special port of Z830 Satellite? In your case I recommend also using HARD drive recovery option and to set the system back to factory settings to make sure that there is no software related issue.

Satellite L850 - 1 P 9 - issue processor upgrade
Hello world!
I am the owner of a satellite L850-1 p 9 and I would like to change the real processor (i5 3230 m) with a 3612qm of 3540 m or i7 i7 and I wonder if compatibility problems can be...
Thanks a lot for your help.
A new processor might work properly only if the chipset and BIOS offers essential support.
So even if the new processor would be compatible with the chipset which is available on the motherboard, BIOS can cause problems. But that's just a guess
Of course, there is a good chance to get a new CPU if most hardware specifications (outlet, etc.) are similar to the previous CPU.
But to be honest, an upgrade of the CPU would not provide a significant performance gain. Of course you would get a faster processor, but the difference in performance isn't important.
In my opinion, you should use the current CPU but should move the HARD drive to SSD drive.
These updates the SSD is much better and you will not encounter the risk of damaging the laptop. -
Satellite L850 - Bluetooth does not work after upgrade to Windows 10
After the upgrade of the W10, BT did not work so I updated the drivers Atheros AR3012 version 10.0.1.1
It still does not work. My phone can see the laptop on BT, but says that he cannot communicate with him.
The laptop does not tosee phone & Yes the phone is discoverable. My BT headset can not be seen now by phone.
All this worked fine with W7My laptop is Satellite L850 (PSKDLE)
Any ideas?Hello
In most cases, BT does not work due to lack of BT software.
I guess you will need to install the filter for the BT driver package. In most cases the 8 Win / filter package 8.1 Bluetooth driver should work under Win 10... Then try to install the Atheros Bluetooth driver filter package and check to see if you will be able to activate BT

Need new AC adapter for Satellite L850
I have a satellite L850-1UR and I need a new adapter. So far, I have a PA5035U-1ACA
I don't know where to find a new one and if I get exactly the same.I do not understand why we cannot buy these things directly on the toshiba Web site, they make it so complicated-'
Thanks for the help!
I don't think it's so complicated. Use this part number and try to find a store online in your country where you can order a new one.
One important thing: I highly recommend buying the original Toshiba AC adapter and not a product without name at low cost.
Why? In the past I have had bad experiences with these products without a name who were not good and not 100% compatible with Toshiba laptops.

Connect my Satellite L850 24 volts - need right adapter
Hello
This is my first post. I just bought a L850 latop to use in my truck. However, when I tried to connect to my drop the connection was different from my old lappy. I've tried Maplins, PC World and Currys but no joy!
Can someone tell me if you can buy adapters that fit the L850 Satellite?
Hello
I think that the maintainer authorized Toshiba should be able to supply all the parts that are compatible to your Satellite L850
Otherwise, I would recommend search some online dealers who could provide this compatible adapter. -
Satellite L850-A696 (loss of pilot + no wireless connection)
Hi you
I have a laptop model Satellite L850-A696 serial No. 3C264274R Windows 7I remove the driver programs by mistake after that I noticed that the wireless icon disappear
Now I use the cable to connect to the internet.
How can I fix this and restore my wireless connection?Thank you for your cooperation.
Hello
I think that the best way to get the WLan back is to use the option which would fix the system returns to the point of time at the beginning, to the point until you have deleted or uninstalled the driver WLan.
If this is not the option for you, I recommend reinstalling the drivers.
Google is your friend ;)He said that Satellite L850-A696 belongs to the PSKDLV series
On the website http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp? You can find all the drivers for this device!
:) easy, isn t it?

Wireless adapter has disappeared on my Satellite C660-22V
Hi, I am very well to this new and have knowledge on this SUBJECT.
The situation is, my computer had a problem turning on and the opportunity to restore to a previous point in time, that I continued with. After the completion of this and that the computer opens completely, the wireless adapter is no longer meet!
I tried to look in the network and sharing Center, there is no option for a wireless adapter, only one ethernet adapter unplugged.
I also looked in the Device Manager and I cannot find any mention of the wireless adapter, I expected to be there with a yellow icon, that means a driver problem, but it is not there at all!
The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C660-22V
Thank you!
Tom> I also looked in the Device Manager and I cannot find any mention of the wireless adapter, I expected to be there with a yellow icon, that means a driver problem, but it is not there at all!
What devices appear in Device Manager under the category network cards?
Is any unknown device visible? To my knowledge, this Satellite C660-22V has been fitted with a 802.11(b/g/n) of Realtek RTL8188CE WLan card.
For installation of the driver Realtek RTL8188CE WLan should help to make it work (of course, just in case a missing driver would be the problem)
By the way: what system are you using?

Satellite A660 - Broadcom internal wireless adapter does not work
Hi all
My first post to this forum - I have a new laptop of Toshiba Satellite A660 - only had for about 4 weeks and it turns out be a disaster for me...
Firstly - I spend weeks getting everything on and configured as I want - then the hard drive begins to die...
I just returned it service center Toshiba and NOW wifi has stopped working...
Internal broadcom wireless adapter doesn't work - but according to windows and built-in Diagnostics it works...HOWEVER - when I try to use wireless with the built-in adapter may not detect all wireless networks...
I then plug in my adapter netgear usb wireless backup and I can pick up and connect both of my wireless home networks...
I am moving abroad in a few weeks and need to know that my laptop will work/be reliable and not have any problems-if anyone can help me with this, it would be much appreciated.John.
Before starting the scan for available wireless networks you have activated WLAN card correctly?

Virtual not showing Broadcom wireless adapter is not Compatible:
My computer got the latest driver Broadcom Wireless Adapter (2010-11-22 5.100.82.33)
HP has communicated with Broadcom to provide a compatible driver Windows 10 on Windows 7?
Later, I turned off the virtual card Broadcom wireless and found that I could still use WiFi, I went and updated to Windows 10 level in any case. Virtual map of wireless Broadcom comes off the list in Device Manager, but I can still use the WiFi without worrying.

Some models are delivered with Win8. Can you please send the exact model number? I just want to check the specification.
Anyway, if you have Win7 when you press F12 can you see at the top of the screen flash cards?
When you press FN + F12 you see option ON / OFF for the WLAN?Somehow, this question is strange to me. When you use the laptop with the settings, it should work properly.
