Power levels of Cisco 1572 PA Tx

Hello

Anyone know what the Tx power levels available are on the Cisco 1572 access points? I think that the Tx power level maximum APs is the legal limit in the regulatory domain, but I'm more interested in what the levels are on the lower part of the scale. Unfortunately I do not have available to test.

Kind regards

Brett

Hi Brett,

I think you're looking at these values.

Also, I've seen a tutorial on how the tx more weak but he was using the web GUI and web gui does not work for these AP

You can change it from the GUI WLC... Wireless | Access point | 802.11b/g/n or 802. 11A / n | all the way to the right, there is a blue triangle, click on that and then configure and change the power level here:

How is - a check the battery power level, rather than just waiting for the clock to tell me that it is 10%?

The watch face, dragging up and show your looks. Swipe to the left to the right to find the battery look.

If you don't see it, on your iPhone, open the application of the watch and under the eyes, don't forget it's on.

  • How to extract the signal from the waveform of my power level designated?

    Hi all

How can I extract the signal of the waveform accroding to the power level? I read the Trigger & Gate .vi, but this vi retrieves the signal duration. I want to extract the signal depending on the power level.

As shown in the following figures, the signal I want to deal with is between 130000 to 140000, if I Zoom, I can see the useful signal is between 135400 to 138200. The question is how to extract the signal in the area?

I tried the sub_NoiseEst_And_Chop_Shell.vi in the example of Packet_based_link also, but this Subvi seems to be a bit slow. Can someone give me the best advice? Thanks in advance!

  • Power levels is not available

I went out today and bought a HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni.  I had a Dell 1320c and was not happy with the lack of Mac support.  I noticed that other HP printers that I use on my Mac give me a complete set of options, but this is not the case with this printer.  I can't see the power levels and it is very annoying.  I do some of the print and it is useful to know when I'm on enough toner.

Does anyone know of a workaround for this?  HP will put specific for this printer drivers so that I'll be able to view the levels of supply?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    See you soon,.

    Jake

You don't specify what version of Mac OS X you are using.  In Snow Leopard, I see the power levels on my 1518ni connected to the network by accessing the System Prefs, Print & Fax, click the printer, and then click 'Levels to provide' along the top.

  • Power level of the access point

I am running 7.0.164 WCS and series access point 1130 firmware 7.0.98.0.

I get a lot of complains about the students that their laptops do not get 5 bars signals.   They receive at least 1 or 2 bars with being disconnect the frequency.

Problem is that the 2 closest access points are power TX 2 level.   For the purpose of the test, I increase the level of tx power to 8 on access points and signals 5 portable bars, see the.

The dorm is 3 (2 rooms / 2 persons per room more bedroom bathroom and living room) suites by the wings. The walls are concrete.

I was told that using the custom for the TX power level setting is not recommended.

What are the solution to this problem?    Use the custom setting or what?

    Allen,

Your description of the problem that is absurd, especially considering that a power of 8 level is lower than the power level 2.

    If you do a ' show config ap 802. 11A '

    It will show you this

    TX power
Number of supported power levels... 5
TX 1 power level... 11 dBm
Power TX 2 level... 8 dBm
Power TX 3 level... 5 dBm
TX 4 power level... 2 dBm
    TX Power Level 5 dBm...-1
    TX power setting... Automatic
    Current Tx power level... 5

    If you do a ' show config ap 802. 11 b '

    It will show you this

    TX power
Number of supported power levels... 8
TX 1 power level... 20 dBm
Power TX 2 level... 17 dBm
Power TX 3 level... 14 dBm
TX 4 power level... 11 dBm
Power TX 5 level... 8 dBm
TX 6 power level... 5 dBm
TX 7 power level... 2 dBm
    TX Power Level 8...-1 dBm
    TX power setting... Automatic
    Current Tx power level... 8

So based on the fact that you said that Power Level 8 gives you a stronger signal is suspicious to say the least.

I hope this helps... Please evaluate the useful messages.

  • Power level of the AP

    Hi guys,.

Witnessed: 5520 WLC, access points in high density, concrete walls. APs of 1832.

Version of PTC Optimal coverage Mode (TPCv1)
    Energy level assignment Automatic
Setting level maximum power (-10 to 30 dBm) 30
Assignment of minimum power (-10 to 30 dBm) level -10
    Power threshold (-80 to-50dBm) -70

Is it acceptable to configured statically the power level of the APs to customize level 1 instead of use the RRM (which normally gives 7 * or 8 *)?

Or do I have to set the configuration of the minimum and maximum power level?

Does hysteresis must also be changed?

    Kind regards

    I

Is it okay to statically configured the power level of the APs to custom level 1 instead of using RRM (which normally gives 7* or 8*)?
N ° it is not recommended to increase the level of AP 1 power at all times. This will lead your customer very good signal strength see, but they cannot communicate with AP as client machines cannot match the power level of AP. try always to match power level of AP to average power capacity of client if you want to set manually. Otherwise, leave to RRM to decide. If you see RRM set 7 * or 8 *, the power level indicating the deployment of dense AP where there APs on the same channel.
Or should i adjust the configuration of minimum and maximum power level?
Yes, it is a good idea. For example, in my network, I put 8dBm min and 17dBm as max under PTC value for the 5 GHz band. HTH Rasika * Pls note all useful responses *.

  • Survey on the site - TX power level

I use on site (EKAHAU) for the investigation of one of the dormitory building.

I get a different strength of signals from various points of access (Cisco LAP 1131)

My questions are: should I change all points of access to transmit at full power or leave it set on a global scale?

Y at - it because of level of power tx (range 1 to 4).

    Allen

I would leave it alone.  If your APs are focused on the controller, then if a PA must be detected has not filled by the controller, then the controller can ramp up of the transmission power.

My lenovo laptop z510 doesn't show correct battery level.

And battery level drops dramatically after reaching 75% to 100%.

It has been a year that I bought this laptop. This problem came after I installed windows 7 recently.

I'm not one to use and totally, I'm confused about that.

In response to customer relationships of unexpected problems with the performance of the batteries portable Z500 and Z510, Lenovo made an update of the firmware of battery available via download on the Lenovo Forums.

This battery firmware is intended to solve unexpected load following symptoms when a Z500 and Z510 mobile phone is turned on:

    • Battery is dead

    • Battery is not detected

    • Battery is detected and charged 100%, but when the power is removed, the laptop turns off immediately

    • When the battery is fully charged and the AC power is removed, the battery level falls considerably less than 10 minutes

After that that I'm connected using the host account both telnet and enable but I could do all the task as a person with access to level 15. • Power off and power on a Cisco Switch

    This is my first thread

Due a maintenance, must be off for a few hours our cisco MDS 9500 switches.

Someone at - it all the necessary steps to do this in a graceful manner?

I've never needed to do and want to take all the necessary precautions and maintain configurations active after the power upward

Save the config running at startup config then ftp/sftp to an external location. There is no command shutdown by saying, just flip the switches on the power supplies.

J’ai téléchargé le fichier d’installation de mise à niveau de mise à niveau-PI-3.0.X_to_3.1.0.0.132.tar.gz et essayé de l’installer. I follow the normal upgrade procedure. However, after the first step he shows me the error below.

Step 2 of 7: unpacking file...
% Impossible to dissociate the package. The package is may be damaged, or there is not enough disk space.

I checked that I have more than 65% of disk space. So, I don't know if that's a problem. Any suggestions?

    Hello

When you perform an upgrade online from 3.0 to 3.1, first a backup is triggered and it's improvement process is triggered.

    Excerpt from the document:

Step 5 move files from backup (files with extension the.tar.gpg) of the /localdisk directory to another server and make sure /localdisk has 80% free space

Step 9 ensure the local repository (defaultRepo) contains no backup file

This must be the reason why you are not able to upgrade successfully. Also check the md5sum of the package shipped with one available on the cisco Web site

    I hope this helps.
