  I really don't know exactly what is the name of my product, however, my problem is very specific:

  I understand what you are saying about this marking as resolved. Tell you what, read the links I provided on the error in the application (which, from what I've read, in my opinion, does not sound like a virus), replace the hard drive and then if the issues are resolved for you, come back and mark this question as an acceptable Solution for others.

• Switch unknown error '-auto in problems xp

  I'm having this error also and use windows xp, how can I do to fix?
  I did a virus scan and anti-malware and they both come clean and still no matter what I do on my computer, I get this error. Indeed, it is start minute windows. I also did a scan of starting time and started my pc in safe mode and uninstalled just about everything on my computer and still get this same error message.
  Does anyone have any ideas other than formatting?

  I uninstalled the program 'Print projects' - not 'creations' as call other positions, and the automatic switch unknown error box has not reappeared. It is a commercial program installed when I installed a new Kodak multifunction printer. Funny, I do generally safe do not install all the stuff in option when I have the new software (Quicken and TurboTax are the worst offenders)

  Hello, I looked for something in the community, on the vmware site and on the web, but I found nothing

  I have a VM from esxi5.5 (win2012) with a virtual disk (not the system, just partition partition file sharing) on a raid0 for simple storage (a sas drive). I need a few days to take off that disk and the power on the host (HPproliant360) making esxi auto start the virtual machine by ignoring the error on the missing vmdk.

  You can set only temporarily
  scsiX:Y.present = "false".
  in the vmx file

  I am running a script powercli and capture the output to a file as follows:

  Capture the output of the PowerShell has some quirks.

  The ideal solution is to use the cmdlets Start-Transcript and Stop-Transcript in your scripts.

  But then you still miss out of .exe that you call in your script and you cannot capture specific stream.

• Unable to join u1 VCSA 6 back to the domain. Error messages are not found anywhere online.

  I was wondering if someone can help troubleshoot me SSO with a VCSA to 6u1 running. PLEEASE!  This has been updated about a week ago of 6.0 and had no problems until he decided to collapse Monday. At this time, that we had problems with our domain controllers, I don't know if it was related.

  Woohoo! I finally thought to it.

  To start with I've implemented a new VCenter server as a trial, nothing configured, just deploy the iso 6u1. I found that it was not automatically joined to the domain and has attempted to do. SAME ERROR! So the problem is not with VSphere. In recent weeks, we introduced two new DCs R2 2012 and retired from one of our 2008 R2 domain controllers. I closed the DCs 2012 and tried again with only the old DC on the network. It worked! I was able to join the VCSA test to the field, and after a reboot because the button leave available domain.

  So I she disjoint and then attempted to join the domain when running wireshark on 2008R2 domain controller's NETWORK card. Then, I grew up a DC 2012R2, waited 10 minutes or so close the 2008R2. Yet once, I ran wireshark but this time on the 2012R2 server's NETWORK card. I compare the results of a successful or not join and I saw that the 2012R2 DC has been a lack of outgoing SMB packets to the VCSA. I compared it to the registry setting on the 2008R2 domain controller. which has been set to automatic startup.

  I've been googlin everywhere, but impossible to find a solution to my problem. I hope that one of you, qualified people can point me in the right direction :)

  I created a powerCLI script to take a snapshot of our most important servers before we do our weekly maintenance. The idea to run the script as regular powershell script and then have

  1. Add snap-ins powercli and connect to virtualcenter servers
  2. ask the VC servers to virtual machines in a perticular folder
  3. Loop foreach on these servers to create a snapshot with the name $snapshotname

  Currently, I just do it turn on a test folder that I created in vSphere that contains 3 test VMs:

  • Testmagne1 - normal operation
  • Testmagne2 - I renamed the folder for this virtual machine in the data store to generate an error.
  • testmagne3 - normal operation

  Since the servers (not the test servers, but good ones) is the most important servers in our environment, I want to be able to catch exceptions and errors when I run this script. I do this with the Try - Catch - Finally works.

  The strange thing is:

  The release of Powershell/PowerCLI is different from the output in VirtualCenter (!)

  In virtualcenter, the output is as follows

  • Testmagne1 - snapshot is created successfully - as expected
  • Testmagne2 - the snapshot creation fails because it cannot find the files .vmx - as expected
  • Testmagne3 - snapshot is created successfully - as expected

  However, the exit in powercli is slightly different:

  • Testmagne1 - snapshot is created successfully - as expected
  • Testmagne2 - creation of the snapshot fails because it cannot find the files .vmx - as expected
  • Testmagne3 - snapshot fails with the error message: operation is not valid due to the current state of the object - huh?

  
  

  Apparently once the first error is generated all succeeding VMs get error "the operation is not valid due to the current state of the object"

  Definition - ErrorAction Stop locally on the cmdlet will not solve the problem. We have found and solved the problem and the fix will be available in the next version. Until then, you can use the $error variable to detect whether the cmdlet was successful or not. You can clear the $error variable before calling the cmdlet and check if it's still empty after the call.

• Trying to understand Orchestrator

  I am trying to understand more details about that Orchestrator is used for. I am very familiar with the scripts and I have many scripts powercli circulating regularly but I'm trying to understand the advantage of Orchestrator more simply to write my own scripts and other code end return. I guess what I'm looking for examples of what other people use Orchestrator for or things that Orchestrator can do that only scripts can not. • How to preconfigure the root without intervention of the user password the first time ESXi boots.

  Is there a way to pre-configure the password and the IP address by using a script so that I can use a USB stick for getting started with ESXi and vSphere Center allows you to access the host with the preconfigured password and IP address with the intervention of the user for the initial set, for example to jump the "F2" after that the ESXi is first started.

  If you're on vSphere 5, you can use the auto-deploy functionality combined with profiles of the host.

  If you are not yet on vSphere 5, you can do an installation by script. See the blog of Scripted install with ESXi (again by Duncan).

• Cannot restore the portable computer Satellite Windows 8.1

  I have recently acquired some malware on my laptop, and after several failed attempts to remove it have decided to try to restore the device to factory settings.

  Unfortunately, I don't create backup media when the laptop was new and the recovery media creator appears only to create a cover for the system as it is.

  I tried to update the laptop using recovery tools built-in, but got an error "the drive where windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive and try again."

  Then I tried a reset and got "failed to reset your PC. A required partition is missing. »

  I have created no recovery media when the laptop was purchased, do not not this.

  Please can anyone offer any advise of any other route that I could take to restore factory settings.

  EH... it is a quite complicated situation now. Problem is that there is not a special workaround solution and you can not force installation of recovery image. Either it works or not.
  It is a pity that you don't l l create recovery media. It is the first step that everyone should do after the purchase of the laptop. This recovery media can be used in complicated situations.

  For some reason tool recovery doesn't have access to the recovery or recorded data recovery partition.

• My C50-A-1DV Satellite will not start
