PowerEdge 2410 measurements

Hello

I was wondering if someone who has the Poweredge 2410 rack case could you help me with a few measures. I'm trying to understand what is the distance between the inside of the front and back vertical, when poles rear posts are mounted as far as possible. So, basically, the distance maximum possible between inside front edges and back of messages. We need to put some servers turn inside the area, so make sure they will adjust. I've looked everywhere but I can't find any information on that.

Thanks in advance,

Kyle

  • How can I define a current source and measure voltage at given intervals of time using GPIB on a Keithley 2410 (LabView 7.1)?

    Hello

I use an old version of LabView 7.1 and a Keithley 2410 communicate via GPIB.

I want to do a simple program, sending a commando to the 2410 to source a current given, without interruption.

Then in the light of time intervals, I want to read the current tension for logging in a txt file. My idea is to do this

simply by sending orders to the Keithley 2410 stations. Could someone please give me a hint in the right

    direction to do?

I'm not very good at LabView, but have done some simple programs using USB - DAQ before.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks again for your help,

I understood that the reason why I did not have all the data (and that the 2410 a frozen/hung) was that in vi GPIB READ, I did not specify the number of bytes to be read, and it didn't have a default value.

After adding a constant to this entry, everything worked like a charm.

Thank you for your recommendation on the * CLS command.

  • hardware error Keithley 2410

    Hey, guys.
I am very new in this LabVIEW, do some programs still use drivers to control instruments. So, recently, I work to control a Keithley SMU 2410. I make a simple program to constant voltage source and measure the current vs time. This program works wells in short periods and Keithley functions very well. But last week, I used for 20 hours, the problem was that 45 minutes of operation, the front screen of EMS unit exploded, the labview show an IO error that can communicate with the instrument, and when I reboot the instrument, he can't do anything, and the labview is not able to communicate with the instrument. The device is made when works as a source unit and can not be damaged by high currents, and therefore the last measures was about 100 my when the level of compliance was at 1. When I turn on the camera, I only hear the fans and I can't do nothing, I look for the fuse but it was ok.

So I know that it is a hardware error Keithley not associated with NOR. But I got the idea that maybe something that I put in my program to damage the instrument in a certain way. I master the instrument with a serial cable, and I used the drivers I downloaded from a page of NOR, don't remember which version was. Just need help to see if it's a bad thing that I do, damaged the instrument

    Greetings to all.

Although there are a few bad choice of programming in this code, is nothing that should have caused injury to the Kiethley in code.  Something in the material should be suspected.

  • PowerEdge 2900 switchable hot

I have a Dell PowerEdge 2900 running windows Small Business SERVER 2003, we will be taken out of service soon, but we just had a departure by car to go bad - seeing yellow flashes and error on LCD server message: 'E1 H10 HDD1 fault.'   daily backups and weekly regular running properly because of corruption, then I copied the table as a security measure.  I bought a new drive identical to the 4 existing disks that are configured as Raid 1.

    The drive is a:
    341-4430 750 GB 7.2 K rpm Universal SATA 3Gbps 3.5-inch hard drive

    The raid controller is:
    341-5754 1 SAS/SATA embedded RAID 1, PERC 6 / i integrated/SAS6/iR

Can I leave the server running and pull the wrong drive and drag the new, without running applications before or after this procedure, and will be automatically rebuild the raid?

I know that I need to replace the server.  But my immediate need is to solve the problem of bad disc, and I'd appreciate any advice or a link to the instructions in this procedure.

We are a small non-profit and have none of the staff and no budget assistance, or I would have called in help.

    Thank you

    Jeff

It is a Dell application that will interface directly with the hardware. It must be installed on any Dell server that you manage. On the downloads page, it is called OpenManage Server Administrator - Managed Node, use the 32-bit version.

  • PowerEdge 1900 & WS2012r2

    Gents

I decided to migrate my old WHS2011 about her inherited PowerEdge 1900.

I have 10 SATA drives to transfer (sizes 1 to - 4TB). I started by moving the 3 x 2 TB SATA B, C & D Port drives so that they know. SATA is occupied by the SSD.

Now, everything went sooth (hardware wise) all disks are recognized, to 3 x 2 disks are added to WS2012r2 Essentials Poll.

I started the migration of data to free the other drives which I hope for you connect to Perc 5 and other PCIe SATA card, but what I've noticed, it's as writing speeds (when moving data on GBit NIC) 33.5 MB/s with occasional spikes 67.4 MB/s.

I think it's because one of the SATA Ports (B, C or D) is ATA and limited at 33 Mbps. unfortunately I am struggling to find info on this.

Someone knows the speed of the built-in SATA ports? or how to improve transfer speeds?

As mentioned, I have some readers go so behalf of all ports.

    Thank you

    Daniel

You are right. the bottleneck is not caused by SATA.

I forgot to mention that the pool, I created the WS2012r2E using parity as a measure of redundancy. Apparently, the parity is to blame for low writing speeds - problem applicable only to the Scriptures known. Readings are fine.

    Thanks for responding

  • (Redirected) poweredge 2950 change all readers while keeping the BONES

I have a poweredge server 2950 with 5 x 145GB sata HDD and installed a windows 2008 R2, and I SAS 6 x 2 TB hard drives which I bought to upgrade all the hard drives on the server, how can I do that without losing the BONE? • Adding additional disk to ESXi 4.1 Datastore on Dell PowerEdge R710

    Greetings,

We currently have a Dell PowerEdge R710 with 6 SAS das drives configured in a RAID-1/RAID-5 configuration. A drive is configured as a global hot spare. I would add this spare drive in the RAID-5 table, where some virtual machines live, to recover additional space. Has someone managed to do this? Is the only way via the PERC BIOS management utility?

    Thank you!

I'm not part "raid-1/raid-5.  But assuming that the table is raid-5, then yes it is possible and yes the BIOS utility is necessary.  The hot spare is currently set should be removed from this role, then added to the existing Bay raid-5, but without the ability to select increase.  This will create free space on the raid-5 array on which then a new logical volume can be created, which will be then seen by ESX as a new drive and therefore another data store can be added to this (or it can be added to the first as a measure).  HTH

  • Apple Watch series 2 measure gain altitude or altitude?

    Hello

I'm confused, the 2 series watch is not supposed to have a barometer, but today after I watched a training session (open air cycle) in the activity of application on my iPhone I saw 'elevation' win (622 m) and it was there (compared to a parallel measure with a Garmin 920XT). I registered the workout on the watch, but had my iPhone (6s) in my pocket. So the series 2 Watch measures altitude/elevation or he draws the data from my iPhone... I'll experiment more, without taking my iPhone along next time.

During this time, is that what someone did similar comments?

And of course, I would be grateful for any help on how to export training sessions (write to GPX etc.).

    Thanks and best wishes

Yes, the watch/app will draw altimetry from your phone when it is within range.

  • What iOS 10 app measurement clock 'in bed '?

I have used the clock app to remind me to go to bed and wake up, and I noticed that it was time "to bed" (health App: sleep data analysis). Numbers don't align well with the time that I'm in bed, and he seems to report that I get up several times a night. (Can be specific, not sure).

My question is: what is actually measure? Source of data? It is only based on the clock, or also the sensors of movement to see if I'm in a bed (or even the microphone to hear me snoring?). I also tried some other apps of sleep, and they seem to make the distinction in the meantime 'to bed' and the time spent asleep. Is there documentation somewhere about how the OS tracked these numbers?

    Thank you!

  • Measure calories burned when using drive

    Hello

The question I have is will be your Apple Watch measure speed of combustion of different calories for the same distance at the same time, when to do using workout app as opposed to not use the app to drive?

The reason for the question is that I read by using the training app, Apple Watch switches on the relevant sensors. Does this mean that these other motion detectors are normally off and if that affect the accuracy of the measure of calories burned during exercise?

    Concerning

    Hello

Yes - followed by an open-air market, for example, through the training app can result in a more accurate estimate of your active Calories burned during this activity.

When follow you an activity using the application of the training session and specify a type of activity, your watch uses the most appropriate sensors and data sources to estimate the outcome of this workout.

For example, when you save an open air market:

    • If you also take your iPhone along (with compatible Bluetooth and location Services), your watch can access the GPS of the iPhone data when estimating the PACE and distance.
    • If you do not take your iPhone along, the watch relies on data from the accelerometer in the estimate of the PACE and distance.
    • Data from the heart rate sensor is used during the estimation of the Active Calories, including calculations which are adapted to this type of activity specified.

Calibrate your watch also helps to improve the accuracy of the different estimates made by the activity and workout app app. More information and instructions for calibration of your watch (including to reset all calibration data) are available via the link below. Estimates of the results will also depend on your personal information. To verify that this is correct - and update over time:

    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch tab > health > edit - tap and adjust the settings, then press on in fact.

  • Best way to measure accurately the activity of hiking on Apple Watch

I use my Apple Watch with watch OS 2.2.2 paired with an iPhone on ios 9.3.3 6 and ask what is the best way to measure the calories during the hike. I currently use the app to drive and walk outdoor activity type, but it seems that the market with more than 30 pounds on the back should burn more calories than the market alone.

It would make sense to increase my weight of 30 pounds (or whatever the weight of the package is that day) in community health for the market or is there another solution to workaround that would suffice?

It would be great if a later version of workout app had a hiking activity or hiking with a place to specify the amount of extra weight in a pack or vest or even just an option for additional weight to the open-air market.

    Thank you!

If you want to suggest that Apple considers adding that as a new feature, you can do so here:

  • Apple Watch do not measure rest

    Hi all

I had a watch for a few weeks now and somehow, rest time is measured not at all.

Here are the screenshots of the application of the activity and the app shows.

Has anyone had the same problem and fixed it?

So watch phone has been restarted and not matched/paired again.

    Hello

Try these steps, which have solved the same problem for some other users:

    • On your iPhone in the app shows, go to: Watch My > General > detection of wrist - make sure it's open.
    • If the access code is enabled, make sure that you unlock your watch every day after the place on your wrist.
    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > privacy > Motion & Fitness - Fitness Tracking off turn (or, if it is currently disabled).
    • Restart both devices in two turn off together, and then restart your iPhone first:
      • To turn off your iPhone: press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears. slide it to turn off. To restart, press and hold the sleep/wake button.
      • To turn off your watch: press and hold the button side until you see the cursor off the power; slide it to turn off. To reactivate: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
    • If you disabled fitness in step 3, now go back to the configuration and turn it back on.
  • Watch takes much too long to measure heart rate

When running using the Apple App on my Apple Watch workout the heart rate monitor will box out sometimes and say it's 'measure' my heart rate for a long time... for up to 4 minutes sometimes.  All this time I don't know what my heart rate.  This usually happens during the most intense part of the training.   The watch is tight on my wrist, no tattoos in the way, etc...

    Everyone knows this?

    Hello

    Certainly shouldn't take long.

Make sure that your watch is solidly on your wrist.

If this is the case, try a reboot > restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

  • Active measure of calories during the bike ride

    Hello

I do a lot of road cycling and also use my Apple Watch to measure my fitness activity.

I used the option open air training on rides Cycle and it seems good but drain the battery of the watch. I don't really it measure the speed and distance as my Garmin that does very well and is also linked to Strava, but I don't want the watch to measure my year, and the number of calories active.

So, I tried cycling without starting a workout. The watch is a precise measure of the amount of time work, I exercised, but the number of calories burned seem much less than if I used a training to measure the same route.

The question is, which is more accurate? A workout outdoor Cycle or while leaving the watch to do its own thing? I suspect the former. This then begs the question, how shows measure of calories burned.

    Thank you very much

    Phil

    Hi Phil

The external Cycle estimate is more accurate.

When recording a workout outdoor Cycle, Apple Watch esteem Active Energy (calories / kilojoules) using a calculation that is suitable for this type of activity. Apple has not released details of the calculation method.
