PowerEdge R420 iDRAC 7 configuration of Email notifications

Hi all

I tried to configure the e-mail settings in the iDRAC Enterprise 7, but I'm having no luck so far.

I have connected to the web interface and went to the preview-> Server-> alerts.  On the Alerts page, I clicked on the SNMP tab and the settings of e-mail at the top of the page.

Then, I entered the email address, click on the settings apply and tried to send an email, where I got the following error:

I check the mail server logs and it does not all applications of this machine.  I checked the email address I use for SMTP and it is able to send an email on my CentOS with SSMTP machine.

I started just recently set up this machine, and these are all the steps that I've done so far on this server.  Are there others in order to be able to send a test email?

Hello

Can you check the sub items

1: 'The DRAC DNS name' and 'Static DNS domain name' is configured on iDRAC settings-> network page

2: on server-> alerts-> page alerts, you can check if alerts is in "Active"?

Since the screenshots you provided I also suspect the line of questioning

1: Sub 'E-mail address of Destination', section ' E-Mail Alert 1 "is not in the active state (checkbox is not enabled)"»

2: e-mail authentication is enabled. Do you have E-Mail server is also configured to support of authentication? If not, can you check by disabling the authentication of e-mail

3: you mentioned the domain name COMPLETE for the mail server. You mentioned DNS appropriate under IPv4 or IPv6 (if enabled) on the network page and DNS can resolve "mail.example.com". You can also check this by specifying the IP address here.

  • Memory PowerEdge R420

    Hi all!

I want to increase memory on PowerEdge R420 server, because the OS not used all the processor cores...

    Current configuration:

-Two processors: Intel Xeon CPU E5-2407

    -Two memory: 2 x 4 GB (location: A1 and B1)

I think to buy two 2 x 4 GB memory and install them to slots: A4 and B4.

But the documentation (Page 46) have the string "NOTE: 16 GB RDIMMS four is not supported. '? What does mean? :

Thank you for all the recommendations!

    Amolchanov,

To clarify, the limitation that you noted in your ad (the 16 GB RDIMMS four is not supported.) Isn't what you're trying. You install 4 4 GB DIMMS for a total of 16 GB, you are not 16 GB quad ranked dimms, however. If this limitation does not apply to you.

You should be able to install the DIMMs to 4 GB as you said earlier, without problem.

Let me know how it goes.

  • SOA email notification when Chief rejects the task request.

    Hi all

We have E-mail SOA trip when the manager approves / denies the request he received notifications ask an end user or a subordinate.

We use composite Manager recipient OOTB SOA for it. We have configured Notifications in the ApprovalTask.task in the Jdeveloper. We have models of email as when manager approves the request, it will trigger a notification email (say notification1). When the Manager rejectes the demand it will trigger tell (tell notificaiton2) email notification. But in the ApprovalTask.task-> Notifications tab we only "Completed" as the task status. How we can configure model e-mail when Chief rejects the request.

    Please help me

    KK

If she isn't here OOTB, you may need to add a task Notification by e-mail in the workflow of unzip and opening it with JDeveloper.  From there, you can capture a response in the payload of "REJECTED" and have an e-mail sent to the Manager of beneficiary, or that you want.

  • PowerEdge R420 - Raid internal H310 Perc not finding readers

    Hello

I bought a mini H310 on my poweredge R420, but I am not able to configure the table because there are no physical disk seen by the controller.

There are 4 cabled SATA drives... Doubt is that the H310 will not work with wired readers and perhaps is needed a bottom of basket?

    Thank you for helping

Just gone through what we talked about previously. You said that you had connected him to the SATA port on the motherboard. With the mini, you will need this cable to SAS A near where the mini-map has been connected. You can see SAS A silkscreen next to the port. The cable there and check if the disks are visible.

  • How to set up email notification alerts in the console BTM

    Hello

I want to know can we send notification of Oracle Business Transaction Management? If Yes, how can I send notification to the administrator say admin @ < host_name > BTM .com on all alerts (alert of ALS or condition) I configured email server host name and the address of the sender in the console BTM but how can I set up email notification on alerts from the console BTM?

    Thanks in advance!

Here you asked for him... it's... (Someday I'll make you open a SR!)

This aspect of the product is not documented. The important thing to note is the following:

There are two main sections of the documentation:

    Metadata for SLA alerts
The following table specifies the metadata for the SLA alerts.

    And:
    Metadata for Condition Alerts
The following table specifies the metadata for condition alerts.

If you want to subscribe to an alert of SLA, then you use the elements that are described in the "Metadata for SLA alerts" section. This means that you must use:

    ASLM
    in

And you can't use correlationName because who only appears in the alert status section.

So, what do you use? You must add this item to your subscription:

    com.amberpoint.notification.policyId
    UUID:040E7CF8-ED6A-11E1-81EB-6B8C9091B5EE
    in

You must fill in the element with the ID of the policy of your SLA. To find the ID of your look of the SLA policy to the profile of your SLA tab. Use the value that appears in the field 'ID '.

A full subscription will look something like this:

    <>
    enabled = "true" name = "SLA_on_Xact".
    userID = "admin".
    xmlns:AP = "http://namespace.amberpoint.com/amf".

  • Email Notification operation!

You have a compatible IMAP server to test with.

Make sure that you can connect from the SOA server, run the command

Telnet SMTP.com 110 you should get a white screen. This checks if there are any firewall.

    see you soon

  • I enabled notifications for VIP emails, notifications of wire on my iPhone. But get nothing automatically

    HHey guy

I enabled notifications for VIP emails, notifications of wire on my iPhone. But, automatically receive nothing.

I put Fetch manually for my emails. Can I change the settings or how can I make it work? Help, please.

    Thank you

    SAL

    Hey there Ram.

I see your message that you receive any notifications automatically when you search for new e-mail messages while using the option extract manually. The difference between go pick up and pushing the notifications and information/updates on day of account is definitely a balancing act. At one end, you want to save your iOS device's battery, on the other hand, you want to know what you should pay attention to. I had to find the best way to balance those myself, so here's my best information.

Push your data means that each time your information has been updated to include something new, a periodic inspection of the accounts on the device that uses the power of the battery. Fetch means that there is a certain amount of time that your accounts are audited with can help save your battery life. Pick up manually, you are not looking for information updates until this request has been activated as your Mail, Contacts, calendars and other app.

The drillthrough feature has other eligible delays causing your email accounts to check back more often. You can select a time in settings > Mail, Contacts, calendar > extract to one that fits your needs. Your other choice is all hours, every 30 minutes and every 15 minutes. More frequently your accounts are checked means a greater drain on your battery life. I recommend you to choose the longest period of time and see if you get your notifications as often as you want.

    Happy emails for you!

  • Send/no not email notification sound

If I send an email from my computer to my phone I get it in a minute, but without any notification that the LED. Not even if I got the notification on settings sound and the increase in the volume of sound.

E-mail is another story. The phone says it sends it, but last night I ended up going to bed after a few hours without having received two emails from my phone to my computer, both with photos. This morning, I was finally getting the emails and the funny thing was, the sent time would have been okay, even if my computer has not actually received them at that time. They must have been in the limbo of At & t for an hour or two?

This morning same thing. I took a picture, he sent to my computer, and when opening Gmail, he says he sends (in red), but I simply don't get it. What is a phone problem or a problem with At & t? It is a problem of bad, I'll tell you that. I can't wait a few hours for a person to receive an email.

In the meantime, I'll email me without a photo and see if that goes through immediately.

Yes, I entered my Gmail, not pop3 account.

I spoke with TS and this is what they had me do. It turns out that the notification was on silent.

I opened the home screen, click the e-mail icon (no gmail in the apps), settings, notifications.

Only, I had turned on my notifications under settings, sounds... which as you say, had nothing to do with email notification.

I'll also look and see if there are settings in gmail label application, but for now I have audio notification.

And no idea on the email sending so long. I tried again and am emails to the right, so I think that it was not the phone, but the problem with At & t that everyone always complains around here.

And now, while trying to send this vid resized through it takes forever again... weird.

  • Email notification sound goes back to default

Three times now, I put my email notification sound for Facebook pop. It works for awhile but then goes back to "Droid". Do not know why.

Anyone? 2.2.1 running and have noticed that since the recent update.

Daringo wrote:Three times now I have set my email notification sound to Facebook Pop. It works for awhile but then goes back to "Droid". Not sure why.Anybody? Running 2.2.1 and have only noticed this since the recent update.

I don't know why this is happening, but I have a possible workaround.  I do not use facebook on my phone, so it's just all the thoughts in my head.

First of all, where is the sound of facebook that you use?  I think this is the facebook app doesn't like to share her sounds with other applications or the phone.  What happens if you were to copy the sound where it is now and put it in your notifications folder and set it as your notification from there.  I don't know if it will work, but it's something to try anyway.  I hope this helps.

  • Custom email notification

Hi, I'm new with Foglight. I followed 16 guests, but I just need to activate the email notification just for 7 guests. Is this possible?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Rafael,.

You can define a single registry Variable whose default global value and different values, including the scope of the different model objects (topology).

For example, here is a screenshot of the definition for 'SYSADMIN' Editor show no overall value by default and the specific values to specific hosts at the bottom of the page:

If you click on the button Add a registry value, you can select the type and the object and enter the value of the additional exceptions to the default:

You can find more information on the Association of registry values to specific objects using Foglight in the topic 'Assessment registry Variables types of topology or instances of objects'.

For more information about registry in general Variables, see "to start creating registry variables".

    Kind regards

  • How can I get Windows Live to stop sending me email notifications on my calendar?

I downloaded Windows Live connector so I can receive e-mails directly on my desktop in Outlook.  Recently, I started to receive emails advising me on upcoming stories on my Outlook calendar.  I don't want to receive these emails.  I get notifications from Outlook popup and that's all I want.  I can't find the settings that allow me to stop these messages. This email notification began shortly after the last Microsoft Update download.  If I can't get this off without also turning off my Outlook popup notifications, I just abandon Windows Live and start paying for a messaging connector that I can control it better.

Update: finally found the answer. It is a bit non-intuitive, because you can not make from within Outlook. You need to connect to your Hotmail/Live account, go to "Calendar" - simpler explanation purposes just make a link to it within the email at the bottom of the sidebar account left. Click on 'Options' in the upper right. On the page options, go to "turn Notifications On or Off ' and deselect 'get the Notifications '.

    See you soon!

I can't find the settings that allow me to stop these messages.

    Try the alerts page.

I'll just give up Windows Live and start paying for a messaging connector that I can control it better.

You know any other to which will connect Outlook Hotmail?
