  So I finally fixed my problem after a visit to the Mac store. Unfortunately I doubt that my solution will be very useful for everyone. I accidentally damaged the Mac OSX /usr/bin/libffi.dylib version by installing the version opensource of sourceware.org. I had to restore the original version by retrieving another Mac. I have replaced the file, cleaned up my mess and boom everything rolls.

  I have a tip for everyone:

  The Console application allows obtaining better information that only accident report shows. (To do this - go to Spotlight and type "Console").

  In my case, other applications also have problems with the file libffi.dylib:

  Thanks for any help you may have. 4.4 LR worked perfectly on iMac 27' OSX 10.8.5 for 1.5 years until October this year when close downs began before making the adjustment on mainly the exposure sliders and shadow. Unit will not re-start less wait reboot power surge will become after 10-15 minutes. Apple replaced the card main and erased the disc. Backup LR 4 recharged and upgrade 4.4.1. New protection against overvoltages or directly in decision-making makes no difference and stop occurs immediately after moving the cursor. An old man can make suggestions or auto checks? This is the teacher/student version.

  How do you prevent Fireworks CS6 open previous files in the workspace?

  It seems to be loading the file of each image several times, I see at least 5 or 6 tabs for each image they take over.

  It seems to be loaded on the 40 or 50 images until it crashes so I am unable to use the menu ay options in Fireworks.

  I tried to locate a cache for the Application, but in vain.

  I also tried unchecking the "Repoen windows when you log back in", which did not work.

  Any thoughts?

  Finally found a solution to this problem:

  Delete the saved state for Fireworks CS6 on Mac OS X Lion mountain

  Quit Fireworks.

  In the Finder, navigate to/Users/Your User Name / Library / Application State/com.macromedia.fireworks.savedState Saved

  3 files in the folder:

  Data.Data

  window_1.data

  Windows.plist

  Prefix files with the 'OLD' just to be sure.

  Launch Fireworks

  When I select say two clips in a folder given to ingest and stich together. Then I go to another folder, select another item, the first two selections are no longer there. In summary, you can select several clips from a single folder at a time, not different folders. Is there a solution for this?

  Prelude currently does not support the ingestion of several records clips. Once you browse to another folder, the already selected clips could be deselected.

  However, prelude supports ingest in the background. You can click on ingest after selecting clips in a folder. The clips would begin is ingested and progression, as you can see in the bottom of the prelude progress bar.

  Now, even if this ingestion is underway, you can once again navigate to other folders and ingest from there. It will feel like more or less by selecting / ingestion of extracts of several records in total, moreover, although not exactly similar.

  It will be useful.

  just installed last CC on a clean install win 7 / x 64 machine and face the bug where the prelude crashes on ingest.

  so I searched a bit and found a lot of people with this problem. Here, on my PC, it seems that as soon as a project file SpeedGrade is present in a directory which is traversed by the dialogue to ingest an instant crash happens as a prelude. I can browse all fine records, thumbnails work etc but a SpeedGrade file gives a crash.

  My fresh installed office was quite empty, except a few .movs and SG file... then quickly revealed systematic test the culprit.

  Thanks to accentuate this problem. I just checked. Prelude crashes when any project file SpeedGrade is at the location covered.

  Surely look on this and try to resolve as quickly as possible.

  In the meantime, if you know better than me now, create another folder in the same place and keep the SpeedGrade file in this folder. Prelude will not crash until the SpeedGrade file is in the location of the parent traveled.

  I tried the fix installing the Adobe folder in the public folder, even did it for my admin account.

  Update Intel drivers as well.

  Fixed! It was the MPE. Took me a while to remember there was a problem, I had some time like this.
  Edit > Preferences > playback > video and reading
  The default value is the value Open CL changed software only.

• Prelude does not recognize in car, but not first?

  I am trying to ingest files in the prelude, but the program does not recognize the drive (OWC, 8 TB RAID 0, love at first sight).

  I find this curious as first recognizes the drive.

  I tried the back towards the high drive with is the same brand and model, the only difference is that it is RAID 1 - and the two Prelude and first read the disc.

  I had the same problem and the only solution I could find was to reformat the hard drive.  There was something on the factory setting of my raid drive OWC which did not prelude to recognize the drive during ingestion.  I don't know exactly the problem with the format of the factory default setting, but after the backup drive and reformat, prelude was able to recognize the drive.  Here's a thread, you gave me about the problem.

• Ingest partial

  I have several very large clips, 16 GB each. Here's the S XAVC, 1080 p, 60 fps, 50mbps. Use Prelude CC 2014, I want it ingests just a small section of the middle of each clip. Adobe calls this "ingest partial" and it requires transcoding:

  4. to ingest a specific part of a clip (ingest partial), click on its thumbnail. Use JKL keyboard shortcuts, or drag the slider to navigate in the clip. Press I and O to the desired position to set the In and Out points.

  When you use this feature, make sure that you enable the option of transcoding . Transcoding is required to ingest partial.

  XAVC S being a great codec for editing in first, who manages XAVC S natively very well, my problem is that I don't know what codec I need transcode these clips ' ingest partial.   You have a good understanding of the process. Currently, Adobe Media Encoder (which prelude uses for transcoding) does not support S AVC encoding. This is why it does not appear as a selectable format for transcode to.

  Any time transcode you it will be a generational quality loss. Not always noticeable if.

  I would suggest that ingesting the entire clip and edit directly. This way when you export your final piece transcode you only once and therefore limit the generational loss.

  I'm experimenting with metadata from ingest with Prelude 3.1.  If I ingest a clip and then delete my project AND then he eats again, the name of the element repeats the name above and on each time that I swallowed again. The name should be:

  I have files ' deleted all the Cache "in preferences, trying to get it to stop, but it continues. I started on a new project of prelude. I even tried to ingest the clip again WITHOUT change of name and it still uses the old name twice. Here's my project file after having ingested WITHOUT change of name. I have ingested the same clip again and a new clip (LW0195).

  Weird happens certainly something for you - sorry about that.

  There are a number of issues that I have on how you have configured your ingest preferences - perhaps too many to be effectively listed here. If you have a few minutes, I would like to chat with you live on the phone. I am located on the West coast of the United States - where are you located? I can set up a conference call for us at a convenient time for you.

  A quick suggestion - you can use the metadata Panel of prelude to clear the text in the 'Title' field to your clips. This should prevent prelude to 'know' or 'Add' the previous file names on ingest to move forward. Here are the steps that might help in the short term, so that understand us what happened in general:

  1. Select a clip already ingested in your project

  2. open the metadata Panel (WINDOW-> METADATA menu control)

  3. find the 'Title' field (it's in the "Dublin Core" metadata section. You can also simply search "Title" directly in the metadata Panel to find as well)

  4 clear the text in this field

  NOTE: You can select multiple clips for STEP 1 above and clear the text from the TITLE for all files at once

  Now delete all files in your project of prelude and re - ingest them (you don't need to copy them again through ingestion - you can simply ingest them by reference - using their current location.) To achieve this UNCHECK the option "Transfer the Clips to Destination" in the dialog box ingest.
