  I just updated my 2008 15 "Macbook Pro (5.1) at Mavericks (10.9.1) and updated all my CC applications the newer versions. I tried to use prelude CC 2.2 tonight and it crashed everytime I tried to ingest media, either double click in the window, or by clicking on the "Purchase" button produces a crash. The program starts, but I can't interfere.

• Prelude CC hangs on 'ingest' key.

  I downloaded the trial version of prelude CC and attempted to open the program. Who did it, but when I tried to "ingest", it crashed. Whenever I try, the same result. I say workaround. I do not have the 2.0 cents share folder but the agreements of the same thing. Help me with this problem.   Yes... I searched the forums and have seen all of the threads to create the 2.0 folder or whatever.

  All other apps work except prelude. Adobe... can help you with this?

  1. Please go to your drive: \Users\Public\Public Documents\, clear (or rename it to "Adobe1" If you want to save the files exist) the folders under "Public Documents".

  2 restart the prelude to prelude recreates files

  3. try the new "ingest".

  I tried the fix installing the Adobe folder in the public folder, even did it for my admin account.

  Fixed! It was the MPE. Took me a while to remember there was a problem, I had some time like this.
  Edit > Preferences > playback > video and reading
  The default value is the value Open CL changed software only.

• Prelude: several "partial ingests" a clip?

  I was in hopes that, thanks to the capabilities as a prelude to have "Partial Ingestion" that Adobe could also include "several partial intakes", but it seems like they did not.

  It seems that partial Ingestion is only good for throw away unused headers/trailers of a clip.  Is this correct?

  You correctly, as the workflow to ingest partial was to allow you to quickly shut off all unnecessary content. The new asset will be just the selected In-Out range.

• Accident to ingest if SpeedGrade file is located in the directory

  just installed last CC on a clean install win 7 / x 64 machine and face the bug where the prelude crashes on ingest.

  so I searched a bit and found a lot of people with this problem. Here, on my PC, it seems that as soon as a project file SpeedGrade is present in a directory which is traversed by the dialogue to ingest an instant crash happens as a prelude. I can browse all fine records, thumbnails work etc but a SpeedGrade file gives a crash.

  My fresh installed office was quite empty, except a few .movs and SG file... then quickly revealed systematic test the culprit.

  Hi Daniel,.

  Thanks to accentuate this problem. I just checked. Prelude crashes when any project file SpeedGrade is at the location covered.

  Surely look on this and try to resolve as quickly as possible.

  In the meantime, if you know better than me now, create another folder in the same place and keep the SpeedGrade file in this folder. Prelude will not crash until the SpeedGrade file is in the location of the parent traveled.

  Welcome to the forums.

  If please go to C:\Windows\System32, find and remove the amdocl64.dll of this place and move it to the desktop. Try to start and work with Prelude and check if it fails or not. If all goes very well remove the DLL from the desktop as well.

• Prelude 20141 hangs at startup

  Prelude 20141 crashes at startup. I have re-installed wiping out the presets, but it still won't start. I can send a crash report to any interested person. Would be grateful for any suggestion.

  OS X 10.1.1 a large number of plugins, extensions. Removal of the extensions did not fix the issue.

  Thanks for the reply. I'll send you the newspapers then.  Looks like I was wrong - it was 3.2 Prelude (2014.2) all along.

  However, the story seems to resolve itself. Prelude is now working well. Maybe the update to OS X 10.10.2 corrected, as seems to be one of the main differences between then and today.

• PP 2015.3 Second monitor does not work and preferences locked

  Just upgraded to 2015.3 and open that I work on the current project. My second monitor has completely stopped playing after years of work. The second monitor shows only the extension of my office. Note that I did not any changes to my machine at the level of the OS x I thought on the upgrade, some preferences might have been reset.

  I went into preferences and that no monitor has been checked for video playback. I moved and my second monitor is TICKING as video playback to solve the problem. When I hit OK, nothing happens. The preferences windows remains open. It is never closed. It's as if the program refuses to accept all the changes I want to make. The only way to exit preferences window is to hit Cancel who reverts my changes.

  Any help is appreciated.

  Just found the solution to your preferences is not not qualify: it is possible that your user account is not authorized to change the Preferences folder. (No idea how this occurs, mine was going well until I updated to CC2015.3)

• A beginner... need for basic assistance

  I see that my camera Sony's AVCHD a 'private' of the file yields that, once seen from within Premiere Pro or prelude of yields. MTS files which can then be swallowed. So far so good.

  My question is help on the most basic level, to help me get started with Prelude. All I want to do is to get a glimpse of these files in the prelude. They keyboard shortcut to place point doesn't seem to be a simple 'I' or 'o' as it is as a prelude - is this true? I'm having trouble getting this simple step to work. Then, I would like to make subclips and I see the number key 1 is the marker for the beginning of a sub-clup, but what is the marker for the out point of a subclip? The interface is nice and this could be an excellent software to learn, but this is easier to do in Premiere Pro and just eliminate the need for Prelude?

  Maybe I need a video tutorial, but also, perhaps the questions I ask here are too basic for a tutorial.

  Can someone please help me with just these questions early so I can see the value in using prelude?

  Ken > prelude allow you to ingest your assets (either via Basic linking, copying or transcoding), batch rename them it's make and apply a system of metadata personalized for them. You can't do these things first. In addition, the development of interface on logging, which makes this task easier.

  And out of the points only have meaning in the capture Panel, where you can specify an in or an exit if you do not want the whole media to be ingested. The shortcuts are indeed I and O. You do not change anything that happened first edit as a prelude, so to point on media ingested is not really logical, use subelements markers instead. I and O in prelude is used to set these points and exit markers.

• Prelude crashes and is basically unusable.

  I have a pretty big project, I'm trying to view using prelude CS6 (1.0.3).  My bin ingest is 188 .mov files that are approximately 1 GB each.  Here are the movie files digitized films House of 8mm which have been converted.  I need to review all these and mark each one with the people that are in each film.  Prelude would be perfect to do that but I can't keep stable for more than about 5-7 reviews, then it locks, falls, crashes and burns.  It's more than a little frustrating.  My machine should be more than capable of handling this.  I have an i7 X 980 3.3 Ghz CPU with 24 GB RAM running on a mb with a 512 GB SSD ASUS.  I put the memory available for prelude to 18 GB.  Project cache must be enabled and the cache file is on the system of SSD drive.  The data files which are references are on an internal drive of the RAID 10 6 to (hardware RAID, not software windows RAID controller).  My graphics card is a Quadro FX3800 with 1 GB of video memory.

  With this many images to the review and the tag I really want to continue to use the prelude but the crash brought me practically interrupted.

  So, it's more simply boring.  No one has any idea?  Something to try?  I moved the cache on my RAID data disc and turn off the system OS disk.  That has not changed anything.

  It is a known issue with how installers do not correctly put a key issue. The solution is simple, and this problem is fixed in the next version.

  Depending on your operating system, please follow the steps below.

  On Mac:

  1. go in the/Users/Shared folder.

  2. create the "Adobe/Prelude/2.0" manually in the "Shared" folder

  On Windows:

  1. go to your Documents to disk: \Users\Public\Public, clear (or rename the existing folder of "Adobe" for "Adobe1" If you want to save files existed ") records under"Public Documents ".

  2 restart the prelude to prelude recreated files

  3. try the new "ingest".

• Any suggestions for prelude CC 2015.3 gel ingest?

  Hi, prelude CC 2015.3 running on Windows 7 and it freezes when I double click to ingest or select file - interfere in the menus. I work with a project that I have already ingested files.  Therefore ingest worked in CC 2015.3 and then stopped working at some point.  The border around the Panel darkens, but no record opens to select the files.  Clicking anywhere leads to the ringtone and no response from the user interface, but the window never shows "(ne répond pas) ' by pressing the 'Esc' key returns the border around the Panel."  The same machine also has the prelude CS6 installed and Import works with CS6.  Thank you!

• When the files of ingestion, prelude does not see an entire tree.

  When the files of ingestion, prelude is not going deep enough into my directory tree.

  It seems to stop at the 5th level of the root. I have structures down 8 levels on some directories.

  First Pro sees OK because it uses the Windows Explorer interface, while the prelude has its own file tree interface.

  I have set up a situation of test, and Prelude didn't hurt to follow along the line... eight files down, was always fine...

  

  The only thing you could check... notice the "consider as ' box top-right? That should be "list of files" to continue. In file earlier, I got a clip CinemaDNG, and he wanted to change to "As DNG" here. And would not go further down in the directory as this file until I changed the setting for this folder. It is because for a number of file formats off camera, regarding the CinemaDNG and some of the Arri, RED and other formats, the images are more than one type DPX where each image is a separate file, as written on the disc, so a file is actually a logged clip. So, "show you" prelude where the image folders, and she knows to show those clips, not as a bunch of still images.

  Then you have some of these formats as shown on this "as:" in the drop-down list in these records? If so, there is your problem. You may need to change your storage scheme.
