  After getting the error message "Incompatible display driver", the BadDrivers.TXT file must be on your system.

  From the beginning, click on search and type "baddriver," without the quotes and find the whole C:\. The file should appear. Now, you may need to change some settings in your control panel > Folder Options > view tab, to "Show the hidden files and folders" and I would also check "display the contents of system folders" and uncheck "Hide extenstions for known types" and "Hide protected operating system files."

  When you configure my OS, I do these things automatically, and forget often most users leave the default value, which hide file extensions, system and hidden files/folders.

• Windows 7 - Aero Peek window previews flicker when displayed not allowing not the window selection.

  When I move my mouse over one of the icons in the taskbar much of the time it will not display the Aero peek for windows previews.   I had exactly the same problem - no changes known to the PC but the PC boots only at the stage just BEFORE the login or welcome screen.  Safe mode also did not work.

  I found a solution that worked for me from another forum (I remember credit what he can't do, but where it was!).  Sound essentially do a system restore manually.  The actual instructions seemed not completely correct for my machine, so you maybe a little wing.

  Start the PC with the CD of Win XP and enter the Recovery Console.
