PRESARIO F500 CANNOT DEPEND ON HELLLLLLP!

I have a compaq Presario F500, while browsing the web, my laptop turns off. Done with all the basic troubleshooting, I knew, but still it does not solve the problem. I have a red article here that it might be the motherboard. It will be wiser if I'll do it on a HP repair center or should I buy a new laptop?

Hello

If the problem is with your motherboard... better, you should get new laptop to fix, b'cuz after fixation, it... its going to repeat (history repeats itself xD)

diagons + repair == half price of the new laptop computer

you decide

  • Difficult to update and download of Windows Vista on Compaq Presario F500 laptop...

Hello everyone, I have a model old laptop (compaq presario F500 GF593UA #ABA) and I have complications download something on the net. Whenever I try to download something he always says that he stop working or the file has not been signed. Also, I can't update or the other - it downloads updates whenever it crashes while trying to install. Sometimes, it crashes as soon as the update reminder appears in the system tray. I tried almost everything imaginable, but I can't seem to stop crashing during updates are enabled. I can't download anything either, but I can run files that I downloaded from my other computer. I even disabled the pilots I thought that maybe something to do with it and still the same events occur. I disabled autuning, ran several diagnostics - one who says something about TC or something of this nature should be activated so I clicked on that and he says that the problem had been resolved. After I pedaled again power the machine, the same thing. Can someone please? I am running windows vista home basic 32-bit

    Hello

    (1) how are you trying to download?

    (2) could you give us the exact error message?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Try to reset components to update Windows from the following link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

Method 2: Try to put your computer in a clean boot state, and check to see if the same problem happens.

Original title: when I try to activate the Security Center, I receive a message saying "failed to start Security Center" can someone tell me why?

    Hi Bluehound,

    • Since when are you facing this problem?
    • You did changes to the computer before this problem started?
    • You have a third-party security software installed on the computer

    Step 1

First of all, check if the Security Center service is set to automatic and started. To do this follow the steps below:

    a. Click Start.

b in the start search box type services.msc and press to enter.

    (c) in the services window, do scroll down to Security Center.

    d. right-click on it and click Properties.

    e. check if the startup type is set to automatic, otherwise it is set to automatic.

    f. click on the Start button, this will start the Security Center service.

    g. click on apply and Ok.

Check if you can enable the Security Center.

    Step 2

If the problem persists, you can also try to temporarily disable third-party security software on the computer and try to check if you can enable the Security Center. If you are able to start, you can contact the manufacturer of security software and check if you need to change the settings. Later, re-enable the security software.

I hope this helps. Let us know the results.

  • Presario F500: Have no WiFi on Presario F500

I am using Presario F500 for a few years. A year ago I started to install Windows 7 32 bit on this computer, and it worked very well.

However, 1 month ago my wireless connection just disappeared, and light orange. No connection icon in the network connections wireless network, no wireless card detected in Device Manager, as shown below:

    What I did:

-Check to see if I accidentally turned it off (and I didn't)

    -Troubleshooting

-Uninstall and reinstall the drivers (sp53261.exe and sp44923.exe). When I tried to install sp53261 (driver Atheros), he kept saying "" adapt 802.11a/b/g/n wireless device not found. " the device may not be present or could have been ejected/disconnected from the system,"to which I went to the next attempt.

    -Replace the new wifi card

-Uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Nothing has worked. I searched the Internet solutions, or cases similar (many. It seems Presario series have in common) and I tried all of them.  I only got disappointment. Now I have given up on me, please, Support HP, help me to fix this miserable and frustrating.

    You are the very welcome.

If you don't want to buy an external USB wireless adaptor for your, then Yes, it's time to replace your laptop.

Unless the motherboard is replaced with a good one, the laptop's internal wireless will never work again.

I have a portable dv6810us (essentially the same hardware as yours), and I'm waiting for my wireless to quit.

I don't use it much, so it can last a little longer.

    Hello:

My recommendation is to download the XP SP of manually using firefox.

I think that you must load SP1a, and then you can load the SP3. It's been a while...

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=19751

You can not load SP2 unless you have 1. In case you need (if SP3 is said to SP2)...

    This is SP2

  • Presario F500: Computer screen laptop Compac presario F500 won't quite come

I had my laptop in 2010 and it has just started to spoil. tried to turn it on today and the screen remains black. I looked at other comments from people who have the same problem as me and tried what they said to do and nothing. can someone help me please. I need to get the images and videos that cannot be replaced off the coast of this laptop and I would also like to use this laptop for my work.

    Thank you

Well you can easily remove the hard drive and connect it to a USB to SATA adapter and use it as a big USB stick to copy and paste the files on another computer. You do not give us the exact model, but if it has a processor AMD or nVidia graphics is a cousin of the dv6000 series which has been the subject of a recall over a faulty motherboard, there is many years. The motherboard could be repaired or replaced. We can help with that. If you can remove the motherboard, it could be fixed for well under $100, but frankly that the money would be better placed to a new laptop. However, if you want to try we can provide more information.

  • Compaq Presario SR5130NX: Cannot start Windows Vista after failure - HELP!

Hello! My building has undergone a complete failure so 4 days ago I used it. Power resumed 3 hours later, but I was not able to log on since.

Normally, I turn on my PC, and about 30 seconds later, a window pops up asking you my password. After entering it, the PC come by my office. Now, when I turn on the PC, it brings me to a blue screen with a mouse cursor in the Center (which I can move), but there is nothing to click on.

When I press F8 during the boot process and choose an option from the window "Advanced Boot Options", I still can't start my computer normally.

Here's the "Advanced Boot Options" I tried, after consultation with my brother a little more PC-savvy:

1 repair your computer - after I see my black screen that is usual with the words "Microsoft Corporation" under the green bars that scroll from left to right for about 15 seconds, a blue screen appears with the mouse pointer in the Center (which I can move), but there is nothing to click on.

2 mode safe - while the PC display several files on start up and down, it stops on "Loaded: \windows\system32\drivers\disk.sys" for about 20 seconds, then proceeds to a black screen with the words "Safe Mode" in the 4 corners and the mouse cursor at the Center (which I can move), but there is nothing to click on.

3 safe mode with network - see "Safe Mode" above.

4 safe mode with command prompt - see 'Safe Mode' above.

5 last known good Configuration (Advanced) - see "repair your computer" above.

6 start Windows normally - see "Repair your computer" above.

7 debug mode - see "Repair your computer" above.

I downloaded a DVD recovery based on Linux in knopper.net, allowing me to access important files, which I copied from the desktop to an external hard drive (4.1 GB iso file).

PC Windows XP of my brother has a recovery disk, but my Windows Vista PC did not come with one. I've seen a few paid versions, but looked resources due to cool weather and free shipping.

I can't tell if I have the 23-bit or the 64 bit version of Windows Vista, so I downloaded both versions of an open source sourceforge.NET startup repair, which I burned on 2 DVDs. After you run the startup repair program using two DVD, the diagnostic results have been uploaded online at ubuntu.com for review and technical analysis. Here are the links:

    http://Paste.Ubuntu.com/16019372/

    http://Paste.Ubuntu.com/16040380/

The last report ended with the words "start managed to fix...".  You can now restart your computer. "But I always encounter a blank screen (black or blue) when I try to log on to my PC.

Here are my details of PC, if it is useful:

    Hello

Since you already have KNOPPIX I try Gparted and use it to 'clean up' the score because it will stop in an impure State.

    NTFS

    [1][11]NTFS-3 g / important

    GParted will try.

Also, I would consider the old problem with fat systems, floppy disks etc. which sometimes a copy of sys files from a floppy disk to a hard drive has reactivated a bootable system.

So, if system files have been damaged, then replace them since a Setup disk.  Because he goes to options, what kind of work.

    https://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Vista_startup_process

    • Windows Boot Manager (Bootmgr.exe)

    • Windows operating system loader (Winload.exe)

    • Recovery of Windows loader (Winresume.exe)

  • Security Center service is disabled and cannot depend on

My service center security indicates that it is turned off and it wont let me turn it on, how can I turn on?

    Hello jackie,.

Go to start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services and scroll to Security Center. Click the Dependencies tab and go to each of these dependency services and click dependencies tabs until you have no more. Knit then back and make sure that each listed as a dependency service is enabled and started. Continue along each string until you finally get back to the center of security and make sure that it is enabled and started. Then do exactly the same thing for the Security Accounts Manager service. While in services, also disable and stop the service of the Defender. Restart when done and see if that helps the situation.

MSE should start automatically in all cases (in normal mode). Even if the Security Center still has a problem, open and try to start the MSE (if it is not already started and running). If so, at least, you're protected even if the Security Center does not have to "prove" to you.

If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135. If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem. Follow the procedures described in the article. Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall. Once don't forget to reset the operating system to normal status as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

If this does not work, we will check your system and hard disk for corruption files and try to see if there is an event that will inform you:

Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

, Type sfc/scannow go and let it run.  It will scan and try to the difficulty of some of your system files.  If all goes well it will complete with no corruption, could not be repaired (if there are these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.

While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  They tried to set itself to run at the next reboot.   Answer Yes and restart to run the program.  It will scan and attempt to resolve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a potential cause.

If it does not, then thanks for posting error messages in Event Viewer about the Security Center (Start / Control Panel / administrative tools / Event Viewer).  Look in the system section.

If the problem persists, you may be infected.

Update and run a scan complete with any security software you use.

Then, try the following programs if you do not, because they can help. I recommend you download, install, update and run full scans with Malwarebytes:http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and SuperAntiSpyware:http://superantispyware.com/ and then run a full scan of Microsoft Security:http://www.microsoft.com/security/default.aspx. This may or may not remove the infections, but will probably not correct the damage caused by them. Even if they or your current AV software seem to work or indicate that you are not infected, you should not completely trust in them and must continue with the recommendations that follow (so it's up to you if you want to try them first, or just ignore all this and get help from an expert you really need as described below).

Correctly and completely remove these infections can be complex and often require manual removal procedures (which may or may not be entirely effective either). Even if they work, I suggest what follows in any case, so that we can start it (you can ignore the methods above if you want it really is the way forward, but it won't hurt to them for trying).
