  Senario:
  
  Prerequisites:
  There is a resource configured on IOM A and it is available to ask
  The approval process requires two levels of approval: 1 the User Manager and the 2nd the authorization object
  
  Manager1 is the Manager of User1
  Authorizer1 is the purpose of the authorization for resource A
  
  
  1 - User1 initiates a request access to resource A to itself.
  2 - User1 must enter information before submitting the request and we denunciations considers the level of access to his account on resources. He chooses the level of 'single user '.
  3 - Manager1 receives an approval task and approves it.
  4 - Authorizer1 receives a task approval, but, for some reason, takes any action. (It is not in the office today)
  5 - User1 goes back to the request and replaces its access level 'admin '.
  6 - Authorizer1 comes back the next day and approves the request.
  
  Problem: Only approved Manager1 because at the time he checked demand the access level is set to 'single user '. He would not grant admin access level.
  
  Questions (options):
  (a) is it possible to prevent the application to be modified after being approved by Manager1?
  or
  (b) is it possible to send the application for approval to Manager1 if there was no change once it has been approved?

  There are several solutions to this. See below:

  - Either remove editing permissions for ALL_USERS of the shape of the object. If your end user would not be able to update the details of the application once it is submitted. In case the desire of the user to change the data, then it can send an email to manager to do. But the end user cannot do itself. See tab the form designer to apply permissions to objects of. It must have an entry for ALL_USERS. It is an immediate solution to your question with 0 effort.

  - Or if you specifically want that after approval only, the form data should not be updated. Then create an adapter of the entity that verifies whether or not the request is currently underway with the Manager. If this request is not with the Manager then this entity adapter throws an error shows that the application has been approved by the Manager, so it can not be changed. This would require changes as follows.

  a. you must include 2 additional fields hidden in your application form which contains the requestId and UserID. Once the end user submitted the application, you must assign this form requestID requestId field generated at the time and the other IOM userID field. You can do this with a task in the approval process by using the API of IOM.

  b. now create this map of the entity. It will have 2 variable reqId and userID. You get these attributes and IOM API check is pending with the Manager of the user request. This adapter returns true or false. False, add an error handler task.

  c. attach this adapter on the event before update of your form in the object data manager.

  Now if after approval of level 1, the final user tries to update the form, it displays an error in the format of the IOM ' as the request was approved by the Manager, so it is not editable '

  On site oldnavyweekly.com , there is a .swf which prevents users to open multiple instances of the site at the same time on the same computer. If you open the site and try to open it again in another window, it will not load. Cannot open the site again until the first window is closed. How did they implement this?
  My analysis, that is NOT:
  1. cookies - the block always takes place if you try to open it in Internet Explorer and also try to open it in Firefox at the same time.
  2 flash Cookies - the block always takes place if I disable flash cookies.
  3 IP Based Block - you are not blocked if you open the site on two separate computers with the same outgoing IP address. From my analysis, their server does not help in the block at all.
  It seems as if their .swf creates a sort of object throughout the global system which can be detected in other instances of the application on the same computer. How did they implement this?

  use localconnection.  everyone has a localconnection to send and a receiving localconnection.  the lc reception closes the current application.

  Is there an easy way to prevent users from my LDAP directory with a special connection to the CMC role? Or would need a custom for this component?

  "authenticated" by itself really means little, this role does not have the permissions set in COE out of the box.  By default, users are granted the role of "guest", who has read access to the security group 'Public '.  Remove this 'guest' read permission would allow a connection, but no access to anything other than an error page.  Simply connected usually isn't a problem, it is usually more what a user can access once logged.  This is where a user roles has become important.

  In my opinion, the simplest method is to set the provider LDAP to examine a certain OU to its users and include only users in this ORGANIZATIONAL unit that will use COE.  This suggestion is based on the information at hand.  If you use the portal, SOA, etc. in the same domain, this approach is perhaps not possible

• Any creative ways to prevent some users from always using the console?

  Our Organization strives to encourage people to use RDP to access servers, but also provides the use of the console as a backup.  We want users to use the console as sparingly as possible.  Any suggestions on ways that allow the use of the console but make sure users will choose RDP on the console?  Perhaps bringing to logout the user after a period of time?

  My first reaction is of course the sharks with laser beams on their heads but I don't understand how this can cause logistical and budgetary problems. My second idea would be to only allow access to the consoles of a jumpbox they also RDP. So I guess that users would acquiesce to all RDP'ing to the box, that they wanted to administer anyway rather than the double jump, but give them the Console in case there was a situation of emergency or clear need.

  It should work.  It is especially set up 2 sets of controls, one for the host user account and 1 for Guest user accounts.

  Windows 2008 server 64-bit - on remote desktop, printing of the 32-bit application as a "modular" user, the splwow64.exe process opens and the job is printed application.  Once the splwow64.exe process opens for the user "modular", logging as long as another user to the 'mistest' application, the user cannot print from the 32-bit application.  Only when I end the splwow64.exe for the "modular" user process the user "mistest" will be able to print and then the splwow64.exe process left to the user "mistest".

  I found the Microsoft Article 2513330 and implemented the splwow64.exe registry key with a value of 0 in HEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\Sysprocs and then restarted the server.

  The registry setting has not solved the problem - the splwow64.exe process remains still open.  Microsoft has a solution to automatically close the splwow64.exe process after the print job is finished?

  Password protect your account.  Users can log on their but yours is inaccessible to them.

  Go to start and click the icon at the top right which will take you to user accounts.

  1. To open the local security policy MMC snap-in, click Start, type secpol.mscand press ENTER.

  2. In the console tree, double-click Application control policies, and then double-click AppLocker.

  3. Right-click executable rulesand then click create default rules.

  4. Three rules are created and listed in the Details pane of the MMC console:
  • To allow all users to run files in the default Program Files folder.
  • To allow all users to run files in the Windows folder.
  • Allow members of the built-in Administrators group to run all the files.

  When you create these three rules, you automatically prevent all administrator users to run programs that are installed in their user profile folder.

  my application opens the file and reads its binary content. I have a small problem to open a file from a navigation or an attachment.

  But first here's how my app works. I have a signal/slot-connection in my applicationUI constructor:

  The doLoadPageDetails () - function creates a page and filled with binary content of reading a file. If the file contains errors or is corrupted an exception is thrown.

  And here is my problem. When I opened a file corrupted first the screen becomes darker before opening the app. The I get error messages, exactly as I want. But the screen stays dark. I can't take another navigation element. Also, I can't use the back button. The only solution is to wipe the screen and then use the active frame to close the filebrowser and reopen it.

  That I can't use it with attachments to emails. When I open on and the screen is dark, I can't close the view for emails. So to see the mails again I have to restart the BB decive.

  I'm not fluent in English, but I hope you understand my problem. Is it possible to cancel the invokeRequest when the file is corrupted? Or what can I do here?

  Well, the solution was to use a Toast message but the dialog box. Because that prevents the application and I can't and shows just the message, with the button on this dialog box, I cannot tell the app to close.
