  We recently insalled Adobe Standard 5.5

  I often save in Illustrator PDF files using the PDF options available in the menu bar dropdown PDF when you save files. Usually I will record a Visual as a "smallest file size" or make use of the option of "high quality print" for other files etc.

  Why can't do this on CS5.5?

  In addition, the color is not accurate at all!

  Hi Scott - I found the thread following on the net. So, I looked at my time machine backups and copied the files from there, that I then pasted in my settings folder as you suggest.

  Ta da! Everything works again!

  No idea how I could restore these settings from a backup?

  The predefined settings PDF resident in/Root/Library/Application Support / Adobe / Adobe PDF / Settings /.

  After installing 10.6.5, 6 predefined files have been removed from the settings folder. The folder hierarchy remained himself, it's just that some of the content in the "settings" have been deleted. I solved the problem by copying settings deleted a backup files.

• Can't print PDF from InDesign after update Microsoft anni

  Hi all, since the anni update I was unable to print PDFS from InDesign. No matter if I put PDF for default printer or use the option "Microsoft in PDF format; what I get is: "printing error: Adobe Print Engine failed at the end of your data due to an unknown problem. Sometimes it will print a little less than half of a 60-page document and that's all - it fails (but I get a PDF of that half...). Sometimes, it just goes straight to the error.

  Anyone know what is happening on our how to fix? I have a deadline...

  Hi Dov, thanks for the reply. As mentioned earlier in this thread, I use export when I want to send it to the printing press. However, at this point, I am willing to create a test that is reduced file size and allows me to put all 60 pages of the document in a gap of seven pages using the print option of 3 x 3 thumbnails per page. It gives me a manageable file to send to several people for the document of proof and, at this stage, the output of high quality is not necessary.

  However, I seem to have solved my problem:

  As mentioned, the document prints 1-27 on a 60 page document (print, failed on page 28).

  The paper would not print the range 27-60, when I tried later.

  The document will print 30-60 range.

  Therefore, the problem lies in pages 27 and 28. I've got rid of the pdf linked to two pages and tried work a print - it worked. then, of course, my problem lies in one of the PDFs linked to each page 27 or 28. It turns out that when I opened the linked PDF (sent to me as a PDF from another company as an advertisement) on page 28 in PS, PS automatically rasterized image, I recorded to a location different, re-related in InDesign, and guess what - it worked. I got the impression that I asked who had already failed.

  So, this boiled down to a single work of art linked PDF requiring a pixelation...

  I have a wireless HP Photosmart 7525 printers for laptops and two desktops running Windows 7 on the whole. I can print pdf. internet files on laptops and desktop computers, but not the other office. A run the print diagnostic tool which is no problem and uninstalled and reinstalled that doesn't work anymore. Can't understand why a single computer is having the problem.

  Figured it out. There is a problem with the latest version (29,0) Firefox. To change to a different pdf files viewer and print now.

  I can go directly from word or scanning of documents in PDF format with no problems. However, I noticed that I have two instances of Acrobat Pro 11 under installed programs.

  Maybe it's originally a sort of conflict but that you remove?

  We need more information. What version of ID (including the updates installed)? What OS?  What are the settings?

  Why do you want to print to PDF instead of export? You lose a lot of distillation.

• I am trying to print PDFS from Safari, but can not see the page numbers

  I just opened a document PDF 700 + pages in Safari and need to print the odd pages and there, but I can't see the page numbers displayed when I scroll the document.   I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4.3.

  PDF-print has always worked a lot, but all of a sudden, there is some kind of problem.

  After you print a "Print to PDF" built-in excel document in MacOS or Adobes printer I have PDFs corruptet when showing them in Adobe Reader/Acrobat, but MacOS software preview shows them correct.

  So there can't be any problem with printing, but the local preview on my computer using Acrobat or Reader. I don't even use the Myriad in document police, I use Verdana.

  

  You say you use Verdana, but you're not. The error message clearly indicates that you use MyriadPro "BOLD".

  You probably recently installed Mac OS X 10.6.7 update that has a bug with OpenType PostScript as "BOLD" MyriadPro fonts. Use the Verdana or another font TrueType or PostScript, or come back to Mac OS X 10.6.6.

  I want to put PDF in new layers in an InDesign document. All the layers are the same data (card), but they are not reduced. As when you press command-D to put something in InDesign, you'll need to resize it yourself...

  The solution I found that worked (for 1 layer) was to simply duplicate the original layer eight times (which already has balance, etc), import different pages of the PDF, but replacing the selected item that retains the attributes of the scaling and rotation. It worked great for a single layer, which is a layer of the card that had already been made by a professional. I just added several layers to the same sheet, which is where I have problems when you place inside the code.   Hello bondzerg, it's currently a bug in firefox's built-in pdf viewer that is studied by our developers. in the meantime, you can use a plugin third pdf as Adobe that you can enable in the firefox options > applications -scroll down and set the default action for the portable document (pdf) format.

I reinstalled and lines still there. I tried PDF disturbances and he pulled out the line at the bottom of the page, but not on the side of the document.  The error log is full of printing errors.
