Printer OfficeJet 4500 is not the powersave mode
I just got a printer wireless HP OfficeJet 4500 (CN547A). This printer seems to be all the time and won't in powersave mode. After discussions with tech support, my understanding is that if no print jobs are sent to the printer at the end of an hour, the printer is supposed to enter powersave mode. I do not understand why it remains online in the State of full power all the time. I first asked HP support about this and they had me unplug the printer and press on and press and hold the # and 3 while plugging him back in. That seemed to put the printer in mode powersave, but then as soon as I printed something, that he would stay in line other times, as in, it would still be online in a status of full power several hours after it printed something. The next technician I chatted with that suggested I have unplug the printer, then press and hold the # 6 button while plugging back in. That was exactly equals the previous reset method. Why the printer is not entering powersave mode?
I have the same problem.
Product name: HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z
Model number: CN547A
Firmware: MWM2FN0944AR
I tried unplug him and plug in now # 3. This just reset the values by default, so I need to hang it on the wireless connection.
I did a scan and he returned to power in 20 minutes saving mode. However, I printed a test page (google.com search), and it has been two hours and not yet in power save mode.
AFAICT, there is no firmware available to upgrade the Officejet 4500.

I have printer hp 4500 g510h, in the control screen that is to show "recomposition in 0" if press us it will show busy in the display panel.
It was quite difficult to solve, and as my client printer was out of warranty HP phone support at least $20 to even try to fix it.
In any case, I could fix it myself by hard reset the printer:
(1) disconnect the power supply cord
(2) hold button ' # ' and '6' as you plug it into
(3) while still holding, power on the printer
(4) after a few seconds, it will show semi NVM reset or something like that and start the default installation of factory (choose language, align the cartridges, etc.).
You should be able to the functions of printer access again as usual after that.

OfficeJet 4500 G510: officejet 4500 does not print with the new computer
Bought a new lenovo so it of a new computer running Windows 10 and cannot get printing to work with her. He moved with a wired ethernet, or even wireless, but does print the test page or anything like that.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled several times without success.
Tried to install with a USB cable and that crashes, even bought a new cable and still nothing.
I put off and then to refresh the printer and that did not help either.
Installing updated drivers and the computer sees the printer and says it is ready and works fine, but do not print. Convenience store can't find no problem either.
The printer works perfectly with my iPad in the next room is not the printer. So for now I have to send my documents to myself and print from the iPad, which is annoying.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

my hp officejet 4500 is not printing. He repeats the '482' runtime error
When I go to print from one of my computers, I get an error message (run-time error 482). When I went to the properties of the printer it says "printer properties cannot be displayed. The print spooler service is not running. "I believe that the link between this computer and the printer is wireless, but I'm not very computer savvy! Does anyone have any suggestions?
Hi Robbikins,
1. is the printer connected to a network?
2. how many computers is connected to each other?
A print spooler is software that temporarily stores the disk printing hard or in memory until the printer is ready to print.
If you were expecting an abnormally long time to print a document, or if you see an error message about the print spooler, you may have to restart the spooler to print on your computer.
The easiest way is to restart the spooler to save your work and to restart the computer. Alternatively, you can try the following steps:
To restart the print spooler service
You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.
a. click Start, click run. Type services.msc and press enter.
b. double click on Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
c. right-click on the print spooler service and then click Properties.
d. under the tab general , next to startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.
e. If the service is not already running, under Service status, click Startand then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Also, run the printer Troubleshooter and update the printer driver.

OfficeJet 4500 will not print black ink
Our small office now has an Officejet 4500 a few months without any problems. Today, it stopped printing any black ink.
-J' changed the cartridge to be sure, but at no time has it says low ink. This fixed the problem for a few pages but the problem popped up. I align the cartridges after the installation of the new cartridge.
-J' tried to clean the contacts on the cartridge itself.
-The functions still scanning and color ink can be printed.
-Overall impression seems slower, apart from the question of black ink. You know not so bound.
-The all-in-one has been used more frequently in recent weeks.
had the same problem, I have the hp printer 4625... I tried the self-cleaning ink printer cartridge under Tools-> cleaning ink cartridge and it worked for me...
don't know if you tried yet, but if not - it give it a shot
I hope you will manage to fix it!

After last version 10 of Windows set to update my HP Officejet 4500, which was working fine, now it is "not connected", says or wants to "fax"everything." Can not even uninstall printer to reinstall the drivers. Where should I start to fix this mess?
I managed to successfully uninstall printer with control panel and Device Manager. I then downloaded latest drivers from HP specifically say it's for Windows 10. support.hp.com/gb-en/product/HP-Officejet-4500-All-in-One-Printer-Series---G5/3919445/model/3919446/drivers I installed and wonderful - printer working properly again. He does not think it is only a fax and print again normally computer. I think the drivers HP takes over again and did not allow 10 Windows run the show and confuse the printer and the computer more!

Wireless scan not working do not, but will print officejet 4500
I have a Dell with Windows 8.1, HP officejet 4500 Wireless. Work to find two days ago, but now my "HP Solutions Center 's" software does not see the scanner. \
The Solutions Center softwared (that comes with the printer controll scanning photos and documents) is back with a message: The HP Imaging device was not found. Try the following steps that... None of them worked.
See my PC to the printer, and I can print to the printer, but CAN'T SCAN. Help me please.
[email edited by Moderator]Hello @chuckg7kc , welcome to the forums
I've read about the software problem that you encounter on your system Windows 8.1, as printing software does not work for you, and you see the error "the HP Imaging device cannot be found". I have some ideas in mind which may help you!
Perform an uninstall of level 3:
If the software has been downloaded and extracted to your system:
1. press Windows key + R and type %temp% enforcement and press enter
2. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356) (if there is more than one, choose the most recent folder)
3 open the Util folder
4 open the CCC folder
5. run the L3uninstall.exe
6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer
7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup
8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player
http://www.Adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
9. try a clean boot that turns off all startup programs. Disable all firewall and anti-virus too and try the installation again.
10 download the drivers and full software features: here
11. once the printer is installed, go back to the clean boot instructions to re-enable the startup programs.
Good luck

I got caught by the Windows default update from 7 to 10.
10 was a little bug, but I gave him a few weeks to see if it could be arranged.
Yesterday, I got a notice from HP that I needed to upgrade my printer software, so I did, which was my mistake, it seems.
The upgrade process didn't go smoothly and in the end, I had no way to access my printer/scanner, the HP solution Center which I use to make my scanner was gone.
It's been half a day trying to solve this problem, including downgrading to Windows 7 and to uninstall and reinstall the printer software, but nothing works.
A critical issue seems to be an error message I get that said file hpsupportsolutionsframework.msi is missing from the temp/local directory.
So, how do you return this file?
At this point, I'm pretty disappointed with HP, because I just followed the advice you guys to make a necessary upgrade. everything worked fine before this.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!
I understand that you have some problems with the software for your Officejet 4500 Wireless all-in-One Printer. I can help you with that.
To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:
- Click Start and in the bar look in %Temp%, and then press ENTER.
- In this folder, find the folder whose name starts with 7Z.
- Open the folder util/ccc.
- Run L3_uninstall.bat.
- Restart your PC.
- Download and install the latest drivers for your printer by clicking on this link.
Please let me know the results after following the above. If you can print, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

I don't have the disc if I dl has the HP driver. I am at the end of the process and the installer says that it does not recognize my machine.
Any help?
Hello
The software for your printer is available through Apple Software update, and there is no installer available on HP.com. thjat means that use you a bad driver or a one that is not intended for Yosemite.
Remove incompatible software using Uninstall HP under Applications > Hewlett-Packard, then follow these steos to install the printer on your Mac:

Printer Officejet 4500 won't scan on the new computer in Windows 8
My Officejet 4500 G510a worked fine with my Windows 7 computer. For my new computer Windows 8, I downloaded the HP driver and print and copy fine but will not scan. It is connected by USB cable. Windows Fax and Scan does not scan, or painted. I uninstalled all the HP software and reinstalled twice still cannot scan. Each time, after you have reinstalled the driver, he begins to scan and hangs up with a part of the preview showing. I received a message "HP cue scanning flow component has stopped working". I ran HP print and scan doctor and he hangs up in the pilot audit section and will not go further. Any help would be appreciated
Very interesting that moving to another port USB changed behavior. You have all the other USB devices connected to the computer as well? If so, don't remove the behavior change?
You happen to have access to a USB 2.0 hub any? Often if there is problems with the USB ports or the USB chipset on a system, putting a hub USB 2.0 between the device and the calculation can solve or improve connectivity.

My HP Officejet 4500 print or copy black. I have cleaned the head many times, tried two new cartridges without success. Its an Allinone G510g. Not very old - do not give up on this already.
In the paper here troubleshooting steps can help solve the black print is not on your Officejet 4500 printer g501g.
If you pay off the printhead on a wet cloth, you get a strong black spot? If this isn't the case, I guess the cartrdige.
