  • Server 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Server printing problems...

    Hello

We have recently installed a Server 2008 r2 remote desktop server.  Everything works well except sometimes once a user has printed a large number of documents remotely a print job fails.  The only mistake he gives may not print.

Once this problem starts they then won't even be able to print locally to a printer connected to the server.  The only way to solve the problem is to disconnect and turn it back on.

We checked to see if the spooler is running, it is not a remote printing problem, that it does not start even local print will work for this user.  We also checked to make sure that the print queue is not an uptight work.

    How we solve this problem?

    Thank you.

You missed Service Pack (right click on desktop and select properties)

Often, but not always, the symptoms you describe are caused by a corrupt print job stuck in the queue or a damaged printer driver.  However before you clean things up, on general principles, that you can download, install, update and run full scans with each of these two free programs:

    AntiMailware MalwareBytes
    SUPERAntiSpyware

Do not operate the two scans simultaneously.  Each will take a long time, so start it and then go do something else for a while.

  • V313 strange printing problem

I'm trying to help a friend to me with its computer system. The computer is a new 64-bit model that is running Windows 7. Everything works well except for his Dell V313w printer. The printer is connected directly to the computer via a USB cable (no network or wireless factor is involved). When we try to print something (anything) beyond a single length page, the first page prints, but then nothing else does (and even this is not always the case). Yet, the rest of the file queued is stuck in the print queue and cannot be deleted in the normal way. It must be deleted manually via the clearing print queue (stop the spooler service, clear the record of spool printing, etc.). For example, what impression Windows page test, the first page is printed, but it seems to cut down before printing is complete. There is a long list of drivers used by this printer and print only the upper part of the letters of the last line on the page. Then... nothing. I must stress that the printer is able to print a Dell printing test page is launched from the printer itself (and not software Dell printer home that works - or doesn't work - all the rest is that we try to print from the computer). I deleted and reinstalled the software of the printer from scratch, I have updated the drivers and the printer software to the latest versions (by the Dell website). I used a different USB port on the computer and another USB cable between the printer and the computer. None of these things helped him. There seems to be some sort of communication problem between the computer and the printer V313. However, I have even hooked another printer on the same machine (same port, same cable, etc.), and it works perfectly. Thus, it seems that the communication problem is on the side of Dell printer. I would be very happy any help anyone can offer with this frustrating problem. Thank you.

    JRN92,

In the batch of December of Windows updates, Microsoft has installed Internet Explorer 11. IE11 caused printer problems.

Open Internet Explorer, click on help, then click about words of Internet Explorer. It should show the version here. If you IE11, then go to control panel, Windows Update, updates installed, look for Internet Explorer 11. Click Internet Explorer 11, uninstall.

Restart the computer when you are prompted. Then see if your printer works.

  • Troubleshooting said printing problem fixed, but this is not

I am running Windows 7 with a Dell 720 photo printer. I had to download a printer driver, the printer is not compatible with Windows 7, but support Dell says I put everything. Everything was fine for a while. Then a gummed up print job works. Nothing will print and I can't delete the file that is causing problems. Troubleshooting, says the issue is resolved, but it is not. I tried to delete all the print jobs, but it will not go away.
    Thanks for all the ideas.

  • Printing problems with my HP LaserJet 3200

I'm having a problem with my HP LaserJet 3200. Or maybe with my laptop? Sometimes when I try to print, it shows an error in the printer status area and no ready button flashing on the printer. If I cancel the print job, disconnect the USB printer for 5 to 10 seconds, plug it in again, and then click Print - it works. I can print, copy and scan, so I'm hesitant delete the printer and add it again. I use Windows 7 64-bit. • Connection remote desktop and printing problems

    Hello

I use Windows 7 on my desktop and also connected to Windows Server 2008 R2 to run applications in Windows Server. However, I have noticed there is problem with printer problems. Sometimes, when I tried to print some documents with applications in Windows Server with my printer in my room, connected to the desktop computer, it won't work.

Besides, I need to go to Windows Server, restart the Printer Spooler Service component, so it does not yet. It is a pain.

I also noticed there is to wait about 30 seconds to process any document to print.

Unlike if I print documents directly from my local desktop computer that is running Windows 7 and is connected to a local printer, it takes seconds to print.

My office is connected to Windows Server 2008 via LAN. I wouldn't have such a significant delay in printing.

I also wonder why Printer Spooler needs to be restarted when the printer does not work.

Can someone advise me on this? Peut - what Microsoft looks at this problem and release updates to fix the bug to improve the system?

    Thank you

    Kind regards

  • Where can I find better, more correct instructions to solve printing problems by editing prefs.js?

Instructions of "resolve printing problems | Firefox Help, line 6. Delete all the lines in prefs.js that begin with print_ and save the file. "do not match what is actually in my prefs.js file.

In other words, he didn't y not the lines * beginning * with "print" or "print_". However, the string of five characters 'print' is * very * many times buried deep in a line of characters, but never at the beginning of a line and rarely followed by underscore. So I have no idea what I'm actually planned to do to solve my problem.

It seems to me that this is just a badly phrased statement that might be more appropriate for someone who is familiar with the codification and development of software, which I'm not. I don't have the time, experience or knowledge to understand. I need more literal/explicit/specific instructions.

The printing problem I have is that I have to print via WiFi to a printer in another room wired to another computer, and Firefox seems to switch or possibly reverse scales fonts for information of margin and the text of the Web page. In other words, the title of the document, date, time, prints etc very wide and the content of the page text prints almost too small to read.

If there is a lot of user set prefs involved that need to be reset, then it's much easier to delete related lines of the prefs.js is each of them with the button straight on the topic: config page and click Reset.
This is the main reason (single) to edit the prefs.js file.
