  • He tells me printer spooler is not installed. Microsoft fixit did not select my printer HP 4795 wireless to install - it installed my old printer

I received a message that says that my print spooler has not been installed.  I tried Microsoft Fixit.  They did not set my HP4795 wireless printer spooler, but my old printer downstairs.

You describe (at least) two different problems.

Please start by describing what version of Windows you have (right click on my computer > properties).

Also describe what anti-virus application you have, even if his subscription is current and if she ever allowed to expire.  What other antimalware applications you have, if any?

Can you give us the complete error message without paraphrase?

Click Start > printers and faxes.
Is the white screen or include all printers?  If your "old printer downstairs" appears, is it connected to your computer (wireless? USB?) and can you print to it?

You have a wireless router? If Yes, what brand and model (see the label on the bottom or back)?

It is much easier to install HP wireless printers using the CD provided with the printer by doing things manually.  However, before you try that (yet?), you might have to clean things, please answer the questions above.

  • Print spooler does not. Unable to use printer

Cannot print.  Cannot add a printer.  Can't download new drivers.  C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SPOOLSV. EXE is a program that does not work.

    Quote from: http://snipurl.com/1mdayq [www_eventid_net]

From a newsgroup post: "it seems that the print spooler does not and that it was impossible (or not configured to) restart itself.» When the print spooler does not work, printers will be not visible in the Printers folder, and you will not be able to add a new printer. A number of things could cause the print spooler to fail. It's corrupt print jobs, incompatible or problematic printer drivers or port monitors, corrupted file or disc and even other applications or processes interfering with the spooler in memory. If you try to manually restart the print spooler and it fails immediately, he may be trying to process a print job corrupted after the start. It is a common cause for the print spooler failures that occur immediately. If the print spooler starts and printing features returns for a while before a failure once again, then a monitor driver or the port is probably the cause of the problem.

To remove print spooling jobs that could cause this problem, simply remove (or remove) the files with the extension ".spl" or ".shd' of the location of the coil when the print spooler is stopped. This place is typically "c:\\system32\spool\printers" (it might have been edited manually). Once the existing spool files have been deleted, try to restart the print spooler again to see if it works normally. If there is no (.shd or .spl files) spooling print jobs, or remove the old spooling print jobs does not change the behavior, a port monitor or driver may be to blame. • Spoolsv.exe - local print spooler does not start

    Dear all

My local print spooler will not start. After a recent Windows update all my devices when removed, which was a printer. I run the malware and anti spyware software on my PC, remove no matter what malware/spyware, but I can not yet install the printer I have.

The message I get is "Windows cannot add a printer. The spools of local printer service is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine. I tried to restart the spooler but this does not work, I get an error 1068. I rebooted the machine several times; all to nothing does not. The 'service' shows 2 HTTP and RPC dependencies. My understanding is that the only dependency should be the PRC, but I can't change the file. Short to restore PC to factory settings and start all over again, I'm lost. Is there anything else I can try before taking this reconstruction?

    Your

    Doug

At a prompt (run as administrator), run the following:

dependent on the spooler of sc config = RPCSS

Note the space between = and RPCSS.

This removes any dependencies on the spooler and restore the default RPCSS dependence.

One of the problems with viruses and malware is that there is no real way to know what exactly it is they changed on your system, the more benign virus may be easy to remove but never pests morphing and a constant flow of new pests pushed one never knows how a machine is compromised.  After the withdrawal of an infection, you should always ask yourself if you can really trust the machine, if you don't know if the answer is no, the only course of action is to flatten and rebuild the machine.   Disk imaging/cloning utilities are perfect for this, they can help you get your machine running in a minimum of time and upward.

  • I'm unable to install a printer - print spooler does not

I have a problem with the PC.  No printer is displayed in the Control Panel printer page. When I try to add a printer the message tells me that the print spooler does not work.  Can I also book error code: "error 0x000006e". I tried all the usual bugs without success.  Gives the print spooler to think it's on; I have reset several times and it shows, but the message I get when trying to add a printer says that it does not work.  I have attached the sfc/scannow process found no corrupt files. I tried a 'restoration' without success.

The laptop can find the printer, a Canon Pixma MP 550 and it works well but the PC just cannot find all printers in the control panel or through different programs (WORD, etc.) and will not let me add a few.  The home network seems fine and both recognize each other and I can access files on the other computer.  But on the PC, there is no printer on the network.

Grateful for the advice.  All the usual bugs have been tried.

Also, I tried the canon Pixma MP 550 "My Canon" routine Diagnostics.  It did not find the printer even when it is plugged directly into the PCUSB slot.  This could be a problem of LPT 1?  So, I don't know how to access the LPT to reconfigure.

I also opened OUTLOOK and WORD and tried to add a printer in this way, but I get the message: "the Active Domain Services are currently unavailable.

    Grateful for any help here.

It seems that there are some conflicts of registry HiKey.  Following his procedure got all printers on the control panel/devices and printers screen and allowed me to download the current driver.

Thanks to all who have helped me to the right solution. Restore point created now.

  • Printer spooler will not start error 1053

    Hello

I got a Lexmark X 4550 printer installed on my Windows 7 x 64 inspiron for a few months now. Steeplechase the printer would not print that's never happened before. When I went to devices it says there was a problem with the printer and she needed troubleshooting. The store could not find a solution. I found a few fixes suggested online and you have tried without success. However, I discover that the printer spooler has been arrested. When I tried to restart services it came with an error that says: -.

Windows cannot start the service on the local computer printer spooler

Error 1053: The service did not demand launch or timely control.

I checked that it is configured to run automatically, and when I checked the dependencies that I discovered that the remote procedure call was arrested and the manual value. I have reset automatically and it started successfully. This did not however fix the printer spooler error.

I uninstalled the lexmark software and tried to delete the printer driver - this has not helped either.

I also tried the following: -.

    Open a command prompt window

    the control key;
dependent on the spooler of sc config = RPCSS

    Restart the print spooler

    This did not help also.

I tried the list in the folder of the coil of compensation, but there's nothing in it.

I totally ideas, suggestions on how to fix this? I think that Windows had a fix for this problem on XP and Vista, but I can't find one for windows 7. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

James (and all those who have contributed so far),

I found this offer on the Microsoft Answers site forum.  It's by a guy named encro.

Let me know if it works, I don't have access to a printer for the moment.  I'd be more interested in your results, whether it is successful or not.

The solution: get the spooler to start!

This seems to be a very common problem on Windows 7, caused by a recent update 'Important' within the late March/early April. I found the fix for this while working on a clients machine and noticed something abnormal in that the print spooler was not actually the print spooler it is why it wouldn't start. Now that our team have set about 20 machines using this process, I'm confident enough, that this is workaround until a future WSUS update corrects this correctly. It's still speculation at this point because log files have not really brought to this day a lot of troubleshooting help this and it can be not linked to a KB from Windows Update.

I'm still trying to determine the real Windows Update update that caused the problem to inform Microsoft of bug but the problem goes something like this:

Determine if this is the case on your computer.

Verify the existence of spoolsv.exe.org and spoolsv.exe in %windir%\system32 (C:\Windows\System32)

If both exist then it is likely the following problem.

    Compare the spoolsv.exe file size

Sometimes the real spoolsv.exe is called spoolsv.exe.org [545KB] and instead of spoolsv.exe place will actually be a file 41KO posing as the print spooler. I guess the system saved the original spooler at a given time and accidentally replaced it with something else. Spoolsv.exe should be the file 545KO at this point.

    Correction of the problem

    Step 1: Spoolsv.exe and rename it spoolsv.bak

    Step 2: Spoolsv.exe.org and rename spoolsv.exe

Rename spoolsv.exe.org here is a bit more tricky because it requires to change the property file from TrustedInstaller to the administrator group and giving the full group write permissions for the file. Without doubt, this has security implications, it is recommended to restore the permissions once the file is renamed.

By changing the property of the file from TrustedInstaller to administrator then activation full of change to the administrator group, you can exchange files by the name change and correct this problem.

I usually and rename spoolsv.exe spoolsv.bak and then rename spoolsv.exe.org to become the real spoolsv.exe.

    Step 3:

Start the print spooler via Services (services.msc) or at the command prompt by using net start spooler.

  • Windows 7 printer spooler does not start

just my printer spooler does not start in Windows 7.  I received a message that the spooler wasn't running when I tried to use it today.  I used the printer for a few days. "net start spooler" fails from the administrator command prompt.  I checked that the CPP is running.

I installed SP 1 yesterday with success, but I went back to the restore point, but still, the spooler does not start.

The system acts as the spooler is missing.

How can I solve this problem?

I would like to check the status of the Services.

Click on the Start button and select Control Panel, administrative tools, Services. Locate bridge end RPC Mapper in the list. Check that he started and that the startup type is automatic. If it is not set to automatic, right-click and select Properties, general tab. There is a box after the startup type. The options are available in a menu drop-down by clicking on the down arrow to the right of the box. Make the change and click apply and then click OK. Restart the computer and verify if it has started.

Repeat the procedure for DCom server process Launcher.

It is always sensitive in this situation to achieve a malware check.

Start the computer in safe mode with network and download and install Malwarebytes (free version for individuals only), updated definitions and run in safe mode. Disable other security software while you do the analyses.

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/
Download and run SuperAntiSpyware (Free Edition)

Some malware is installing the entries of proxy server redirecting internet connections. If you encounter this problem step 2 see in the following link:

Currently, this is a good combination that seems to detect more malware, but it can miss the malware as all security software can do.

  • Pavilion network adapter are not not in Device Manager

My Pavilion P6330f lost the internal network adapter (no internet connection, adapter are not not in Device Manager).  Is it possible to re-restore/refresh it?  I tried to do a scan to refresh hardware, but it doesn't show any internal network adapter.

I was able to get back on the network by installing a wireless network adapter via the disk support provided with the wireless USB device and using Device Manager.

It seems that the internal NETWORK adapter has gone (fried) and I need to install a new NETWORK adapter in one of the expansion slots.  Other options?

    Is this a common problem?

    D.

No, it is not common, unless your home has experienced a surge\dropout of power or a bolt of lightning. What you are experiencing, this is usually the result of thet.

Since your office worked five years ago, he certainly provided you a reliable service. You might consider looking for a PC replacement in 2015. SCP last usually about five years before replacement is required.

Wireless, it's that a good option as no extra wire is a good thing.

    Hi Larry,

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will certainly help the question of fixing.

To help you suggest several steps to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

    1. What is the brand and model of the printer?

    2. did you of recent changes made to your computer before the show?

    3. is specific to printing an E-mail question?

The print spooler is a system of 32 services in the Microsoft Windows operating system. He is responsible for the management of jobs that have been sent to the printer or print from a network server. With the print spooler, the user can achieve a greater control over the print queue because the print spooler service allows the user to dispose of print jobs pending or to set priorities for projects.

Most of the time, the print spooler service works very well. Unfortunately, the opportunities will arise when the print spooler fails and you receive the dreaded error print spooler and print becomes impossible.

Please follow the methods and mark the question below:

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

    a. click Start, click run, type services.msc.
    b. double-click the print spooler and verify that the status is set as Automatic or Manual.

    c. right-click on print spooler and click restart.

  • Printer spooler does not work for a single user on the network printer

original title: very different printer problem

I have a HP deskjet printer shared from a PC on the network.
I was informed of a single person could not access error poped by saying "printer spooler does not work.
I went to the services and made sure it was infact running and rebooted to be sure also restarted the RPC services as it is addictive
Still, the user cannot print to the printer. I took the computer that has been seen issues and hung where fixed my PC and I am able to connect and print!

If I move my computer witch would allow me to print before there where his computer is my computer prompt same error

My idea is - what some are how a network issue, but the user can still access drives network, internet and other printers on the network

    Just not this printer

The computer on the share is is a windows xp sp2 workstation

The computer with the issue is any system I plug its cable Ethernet (XP anyway) I have not tried with a windows machine 7.

My hypothesis is a bad Ethernet cable? I'm quite lost with this question at this stage.

My next step is to hang the printer until a print area and assign an IP address and finish with the share.

(Still not sure if it would help or not)

    Any advice is welcome thanks

It turned out to be a bad switch. I don't understand why it did not work. All the computers had no problems other than the present even that if I swapped the ports it has made a difference.

Hung new switch and all computers works fine now.

  • Problem with my printer - printer spooler does not

Printer Spooler not working do not, said no installed printer, doesn't let me install again running with windows Xp.  I can do no problem before working with this printer for 10 months with no problems, is there a solution.

Often, but not always, the symptoms you describe are caused by a corrupt print job stuck in the queue or a damaged printer driver.  However before you clean things up, on general principles, that you can download, install, update and run full scans with each of these two free programs:

    AntiMailware MalwareBytes
    SUPERAntiSpyware

Do not operate the two scans simultaneously.  Each will take a long time, so start it and then go do something else for a while.

    Cleaning of printers

NOTE: If after completing step has the print spooler is not always running after you launched the command "net start spooler", you will not be able to follow all the steps in "First Article".  Use of the special procedure for printers Lexmark described below and follow in its first Article.  If still no joy, use the alternative method that is linked below.

    A. Clean on print jobs pending

    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
    • Type the following in the black command prompt window, and then press ENTER after each line

    net stop spooler
    del/q '% windir%\system32\spool\PRINTERS\*.* '.
    net start spooler
    output

    B. clean the old printer drivers and install the latest drivers by using the directions in One Article.

A special procedure for computers that have or had a Lexmark or Dell-badged Lexmark printer.

Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)

Type the following in the black command prompt window and press enter

dependent on the spooler of sc config = RPCSS
    output

Note that there is no space before the =

If you want to use a Lexmark or Dell-badged Lexmark printer after having done the above, you will need to reinstall it.

    Hello

I don't know if you have already solved the problem of the other answer, but here's something you can try if your not confident using the command line.

Go to [start],-> [Control Panel]-> [administrative tools]-> [Services]

Depending on if your running XP, Vista or 7 you can have 2 tabs at the bottom of the window you see.

Select [Standard] if its not already selected. If you already have a large list, skip this step.

Scroll down and find the print spooler. Double click it, and then set the "Startup type" to [Auto]

then click [OK] and then make a right click again print spooler and select [start]
