printers HP psc 2110 all-in-one

Past from windows xp to 7. My printer will not scan. Message "no scan option. You need to install or run HP software for the feature.

Hello Randi1947,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you are unable to scan a document using the PSC 2110. Unfortunately, with the operating system that you currently have, does not contain a complete software functionality. You can only perform a Windows Update on your Windows 7 computer. This information is declared here.

In this document from HP, it states that certain functions are perhaps not available. Given that your scanning capabilities do not work, there are solutions that you can try. Click the HP document, and then click on 'how to scan, fax, print or use a memory card.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

    Hello @johnny1936,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that the printer HP PSC 2110 all-in-one is frozen and making a frequent pulsing noise. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. Currently, there is probably a problem with your product, power or a Firmware programming problem occurring within your printer. Can I please you follow the steps below to isolate this problem and fix it.

    Step 1: Check of power:

Please connect your all-in-one PSC directly into the wall outlet for power. Power strips and surge protectors can cause your printer for lack of power and will not work properly. Once your printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet test your printer to see if the problem is resolved. If the problem persists, proceed to the next step.

    Step 2: Power Reset:

    1. With your printe r WE, please unplug the power cable from the back of your printer
    2. The power cord unplugged for 1 minute
    3. After 1 minute the back power cable plug in
    4. Your printer should start up on its own

Once the printer lights please test your product in order to confirm that the problem has been resolved. If the problem persists, your product may experience a failure of Firmware. The Firmware is the internal "brain" of your printer. It determines what your printer is and how your printer it. If the firmware is corrupted in your printer, it may cause performance problems. Normally, I would have you update the Firmware on your printer. If the problem persists after the update is complete, will allow us to complete a programming reset the printer. However, due to the age of your printer there is no Firmware updates or resets the programming. Therefore, a replacement product may be necessary if this problem persists.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. If the problem persists, please let me know if you see all the solid or flashing lights or message board on your printers. I look forward to hear from you!

  • Printers HP psc 1210 all-in-one

I tried for days to install my HP psc1210 all-in-one printer on a desktop HP Windows Vista SP2 that my aunt gave me when she bought a new. First of all, I used the installation disk for my printer HP psc 1200 Series (which of course is not for Vista), everything worked except for the Director of printing. Site Web of HP said that I had to replace the Director with the Solution Center. I tried but nothing works. When I use the center of Solution and want to copy the same screen rises which made with the Director of printing, but when I try to run the copy my computer says that the printer is not connected.

The printer is connected via a USB cable and I can print on various programs such as MS Word, Outlook, etc. I don't know what to do and I'm afraid if I don't buy a new printer, I don't want to mess up the computer. There the 1200 series in the list of printers that should work with Windows Vista.

    Thank you

    Hi wlb8227,

If you are able to print from various programs, then you have the printer installed correctly. Here is a document on how to install this printer on a Vista computer. Let me know if you need assistance?

  • PSC 2110 All In One: PSC 2110

My Dell laptop (Windows XP) and PSC 2110 worked great until recently. The printing process stops just after it starts, then some rattling noise, like snapping plastic come from the printer. I have turned off and on again, I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer several times. I tried to use printing HP and doctor Scan that did not help. I tried updating the driver, no luck.

    Any ideas?

    Hi @MattU12,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Let's try a different approach and troubleshooting from a software point of view.  Try the following steps:

Delete temporary files on your PC

    1. Click on Start and then run.

    2. In the text box on the run window, type%temp% , and then click OK. A folder full of files and other folders will appear.

All the folders and files that you see in this Temp folder are no longer used by Windows XP and can be deleted safely.

    3. To remove files or individual files, hold your Ctrl key while clicking on each item you want to remove. Release the Ctrl key when you are finished.

To remove these items, press your delete key or choose file , then delete from the menu.

    4. Confirm that you want to delete the files by clicking Yes in the window to confirm deleting multiple files that opens.

    5. If you want instead to remove everything inside the Temp folder, choose Edit and then select all from the menu.

Note: If you are prompted that there are hidden files in this folder, simply click on OK to dismiss the message. A few hidden files hanging out in the Temp folder probably aren't significant enough to worry about.

    6. Now that all the files and folders are selected, press your delete key, or choose file , then delete from the menu.

    1. Confirm that you want to delete the files by clicking Yes in the window to confirm deleting multiple files that opens.

    2. After all the files have been deleted, you can close the window and empty your trash, permanently remove the files from your PC.

    Tips:

    1. You may receive a message error deleting file or folder , while files are deleted. It simply means that one of the files is used by a program right now. Click OK, close all open applications and repeat the steps above. If you still receive the message, try restarting your PC and repeating the process again.

Then, stop and restart the print spooler:

    1. Click the Start button, select run.
    2. In the Run dialog, type "cmd" and click OK.
    3. In the command prompt, type "net stop spooler" and press the enter key to stop the spooler
    4. Then, type "net start spooler" to restart the spooler.

If the printing problem persists after that, click on click here to find out how to disable your Windows systems via MSCONFIG Services to determine if there are programs or services interfere with your ability to print.

I would like to know how it works for you.

    See you soon,.

  • PSC 2110 all-in-one now prints VERY SLOW

Maybe I just need to bury it, but my psc 2110 started extremely slow printing - 15 minutes for the align cartridges page, 17 minutes for the 'self-assessment report.  So, it has nothing to do with the connection between the printer and the computer (these prints are of the printer itself).  I tried unplugging everything, wait, and plug it in; Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges; align the print cartridges; Download the HP printer utility (who reported "No problems found"); looking for an update (it says I have the latest).  Any ideas?

If the printer prints a swath, and then pauses for 15 seconds before the next broke then probably the issue is one of the ink cartridges has failed.  If the PSC 2110 is capable of printing mode reserve (with one of the removed cartridges), then you can remove a cartridge, print something, then replace the cartridge, remove the cartridge else and print something.

Whatever that cauese cartridge the printer to print slowly is the culprit and should be replaced.  If the PSC 2110 does not support the mode of the reserve, then you will have to use trial and error to find out what cartridge is at fault.  I would like to start with the black cartridge.

  • State of ink level HP psc 2110 all-in-one

It is an old printer, use the mode of a a 2002 copyright date.   I thought that all the printer, even that of old, would be able to view the status of ink of the different cartridges on my computer screen.  I talked to tech support and they said to download the driver and a printer icon should be displayed in the bottom right of my screen.  This laptop has Windows 7 and all the HP drivers are supposed to be downloaded automatically.  I tried to update the driver from hp.com, but it did not really anyting.  Again there is no icon to the printer at the bottom right of my screen.  Technical support said that when I click the icon I should be able to access a page that shows the levels of ink cartridges.  Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you for your help.  I'm a novice here.

    Welcome to the hifiguy69 forums!

I saw your post want to check on your model of PSC 2110 ink levels. With Windows 7, the complete software package is not available, therefore, you will not be able to see your desktop ink levels.

However, if you print a self-test, this may show the ink levels.

    To print a self-test:

On the printer, select Setup or Menu until 'Print report' shows, and then select entry.

I hope that my post helped!

    Have a great Monday

  • HP psc 2115 all in one color not printing on Mac

    Hello

I have a MacBook Pro, OSX 10.9.4. It prints very well on my HP psc 2115 all-in-one in black and white, but not color. I tried to find an update for the driver here, but nothing helps. Is it just that the printer is not compatible with my operating system, or is there something more I need to do?

    Thank you very much

    We gladly invite you.

Try to reset the system as follows:

    * Be aware that reset the printer system will eliminate any existing queue and reset all custom settings driver.

Click on the Apple menu and then click on System Preferences.
    Some Printers & Scanners.
Right click (or Ctrl + left click) your product with the Printers list in the left panel and then click on reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user name and password.
Click OK. The printing system resets.

Once you have finished, click on the sign more and select the PSC 2115 list.

Click on the drop down menu, then make sure the HP PSC 2110 is selected.

Please let me know the results,

  • PSC 1610 all-in-one

    Can I e-print to my HP PSC 1610 all-in-one?

    Hi JudithAMorrison,

Just to add some additional information for you, your PSC 1610 is not able to ePrint, as it was released before that HP has applied the ePrint technology for their printers. All new printers are usually capable ePrint, so if you are wanting to acquire a range of HP active ePrint printers, you can contact HP Technical Support at the 1-800-474-6836 and see what kind of offers, they have to get you an active ePrint printer.

If you need anything more, please let me know. Have a great day!

  • HP Psc 1610 all-in-one: Hp psc 1610 without Windows installation

I'm trying to see if my printer will be able to work without the Windows installation disc. I have a HP PSC 1610 all-in-one printer. I'll buy the cable from Sun to hang it to the top, but I can't find the drive mentioned in the installation program. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I have a MacBook Air with Windows. Comments would be appreciated for what I can determine if I need to buy a new printer.

Windows 10 has a 1600 integrated printer driver, just us the option to Add a printer in Printers and devices.

  • Unable to print on hp psc 1350 all-in-one of imac (os 10.6.8) but capable of scanning

Unable to print on HP psc 1350 all-in-one of iMac (OS 10.6.8) but capable of scanning; also able to print other printers connected to the same computer.  The printer is connected directly via the USB port and I downloaded and installed software for printing on Mac using OS 10.6.  Shows the impression that labour is on hold whatever program originating the print job.  The State of the 'mistake' poster print job, but there is no information about error numbers or other details of the error. The correct printer is selected by default and layout is correct.  The printer has been disconnected, turned off and restarted and the computer has been restarted several times.  Able to print/scan/to 1350 PSC all-in-one of older Mac laptop (OS 10.5.8).

    Additional suggestions are sincerely appreciated.

If you are using Snow Leopard or Lion and you have the HP software before Snow Leopard (either from a CD not marked as compatible with 10.6 or you recently upgraded to Snow Leopard or Lion and had the software HP on your Mac before you upgrade - even if you made a standard from the old software uninstaller or installed new software on top of it) , you must uninstall the software by using the "scrubber":

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
    Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall< this="" is="" the="" scrubber="" option,="" there="" is="" no="" button="" labeled="">
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish

    Restart your Mac

    Now reset the printing system:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

  • Hp psc 1210v all-in-one has the possibility to print back to the front?

My hp psc 1210v all-in-one still works and it makes me crazy that this printer is able to print back to the front. I'm also disturbed that there is no software print double don't face as with the new hp printers.

Is it just me or this printer would be perfect if it had these features?

    Thanks for the help.

The link that you sent me was not big, but I looked around, in the Advanced preferences and realized that I was able to change the order of printing under layout options. I just had to click the underlined "front to back" and then I could easily switch to 'Back to Front '.

In regard to feature double-sided, I'm looking for... I want to talk about the functionality of software (not hardware) which have more modern printers. As for my HP Photosmart D110, when I go to Preferences, on the right side there is an option for "print on both sides to save paper. This is the software update, I want for my psc 1210v. I would like to be able to select the option "manual" under the "print on both sides to save paper.

    Thank you.

  • PSC 1210xi All in one driver for Windows 7

I have a PSC 1210xi all in one.  When I put in my product for downloads, the choice in "Printers and multifunction" developed as all-in-one HP PSC 1210 or all-in-one HP PSC 1210V.  I have a new laptop that is running WIndows 7.  Should what download I choose?  I have loaded the original software for HP PSC 1100 series-1200 series, version 2.1.0.  Thank you.

Hey Kan02. You don't need to download a driver for this printer, the driver is integrated in Windows 7. Here are two options on how to install this printer:

    Option 1:

You can follow this document to install the printer: the driver for your product is included in the Windows 7 operating system

    OR

    Option 2:

You can use the HP utility Windows 7 printer to install.

Both of these options should get the printer to the top and runing for you.

    Take care

    Sean
