PSC 2110 all-in-one now prints VERY SLOW

Maybe I just need to bury it, but my psc 2110 started extremely slow printing - 15 minutes for the align cartridges page, 17 minutes for the 'self-assessment report.  So, it has nothing to do with the connection between the printer and the computer (these prints are of the printer itself).  I tried unplugging everything, wait, and plug it in; Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges; align the print cartridges; Download the HP printer utility (who reported "No problems found"); looking for an update (it says I have the latest).  Any ideas?

If the printer prints a swath, and then pauses for 15 seconds before the next broke then probably the issue is one of the ink cartridges has failed.  If the PSC 2110 is capable of printing mode reserve (with one of the removed cartridges), then you can remove a cartridge, print something, then replace the cartridge, remove the cartridge else and print something.

Whatever that cauese cartridge the printer to print slowly is the culprit and should be replaced.  If the PSC 2110 does not support the mode of the reserve, then you will have to use trial and error to find out what cartridge is at fault.  I would like to start with the black cartridge.

Get this second puosating soundevery, and the printer is frozen.  In the past I have reset in unplugignthe power and then hoding the arrow buttons cancel and right and the pluging in the power sometimes it works.

    Hello @johnny1936,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that the printer HP PSC 2110 all-in-one is frozen and making a frequent pulsing noise. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. Currently, there is probably a problem with your product, power or a Firmware programming problem occurring within your printer. Can I please you follow the steps below to isolate this problem and fix it.

    Step 1: Check of power:

Please connect your all-in-one PSC directly into the wall outlet for power. Power strips and surge protectors can cause your printer for lack of power and will not work properly. Once your printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet test your printer to see if the problem is resolved. If the problem persists, proceed to the next step.

    Step 2: Power Reset:

    1. With your printe r WE, please unplug the power cable from the back of your printer
    2. The power cord unplugged for 1 minute
    3. After 1 minute the back power cable plug in
    4. Your printer should start up on its own

Once the printer lights please test your product in order to confirm that the problem has been resolved. If the problem persists, your product may experience a failure of Firmware. The Firmware is the internal "brain" of your printer. It determines what your printer is and how your printer it. If the firmware is corrupted in your printer, it may cause performance problems. Normally, I would have you update the Firmware on your printer. If the problem persists after the update is complete, will allow us to complete a programming reset the printer. However, due to the age of your printer there is no Firmware updates or resets the programming. Therefore, a replacement product may be necessary if this problem persists.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. If the problem persists, please let me know if you see all the solid or flashing lights or message board on your printers. I look forward to hear from you!

  • HP psc 2175 all-in-one not printing blue or yellow

My trusty and reliable hp psc 2175 all-in-one prints wrong color.  It seems to access information or cyan or yellow and prints only in black (which is light) or magenta.  I changed both cartridges, and that did not help.  He keeps asking me to align the cartridges (which I did several times without success).  Any ideas as to what is happening and how to fix the problem?  Thank you!

  • PSC 2110 All In One: PSC 2110

My Dell laptop (Windows XP) and PSC 2110 worked great until recently. The printing process stops just after it starts, then some rattling noise, like snapping plastic come from the printer. I have turned off and on again, I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer several times. I tried to use printing HP and doctor Scan that did not help. I tried updating the driver, no luck.

    Any ideas?

    Hi @MattU12,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Let's try a different approach and troubleshooting from a software point of view.  Try the following steps:

Delete temporary files on your PC

    1. Click on Start and then run.

    2. In the text box on the run window, type%temp% , and then click OK. A folder full of files and other folders will appear.

All the folders and files that you see in this Temp folder are no longer used by Windows XP and can be deleted safely.

    3. To remove files or individual files, hold your Ctrl key while clicking on each item you want to remove. Release the Ctrl key when you are finished.

To remove these items, press your delete key or choose file , then delete from the menu.

    4. Confirm that you want to delete the files by clicking Yes in the window to confirm deleting multiple files that opens.

    5. If you want instead to remove everything inside the Temp folder, choose Edit and then select all from the menu.

Note: If you are prompted that there are hidden files in this folder, simply click on OK to dismiss the message. A few hidden files hanging out in the Temp folder probably aren't significant enough to worry about.

    6. Now that all the files and folders are selected, press your delete key, or choose file , then delete from the menu.

    1. Confirm that you want to delete the files by clicking Yes in the window to confirm deleting multiple files that opens.

    2. After all the files have been deleted, you can close the window and empty your trash, permanently remove the files from your PC.

    Tips:

    1. You may receive a message error deleting file or folder , while files are deleted. It simply means that one of the files is used by a program right now. Click OK, close all open applications and repeat the steps above. If you still receive the message, try restarting your PC and repeating the process again.

Then, stop and restart the print spooler:

    1. Click the Start button, select run.
    2. In the Run dialog, type "cmd" and click OK.
    3. In the command prompt, type "net stop spooler" and press the enter key to stop the spooler
    4. Then, type "net start spooler" to restart the spooler.

If the printing problem persists after that, click on click here to find out how to disable your Windows systems via MSCONFIG Services to determine if there are programs or services interfere with your ability to print.

I would like to know how it works for you.

    See you soon,.

  • State of ink level HP psc 2110 all-in-one

It is an old printer, use the mode of a a 2002 copyright date.   I thought that all the printer, even that of old, would be able to view the status of ink of the different cartridges on my computer screen.  I talked to tech support and they said to download the driver and a printer icon should be displayed in the bottom right of my screen.  This laptop has Windows 7 and all the HP drivers are supposed to be downloaded automatically.  I tried to update the driver from hp.com, but it did not really anyting.  Again there is no icon to the printer at the bottom right of my screen.  Technical support said that when I click the icon I should be able to access a page that shows the levels of ink cartridges.  Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you for your help.  I'm a novice here.

    Welcome to the hifiguy69 forums!

I saw your post want to check on your model of PSC 2110 ink levels. With Windows 7, the complete software package is not available, therefore, you will not be able to see your desktop ink levels.

However, if you print a self-test, this may show the ink levels.

    To print a self-test:

On the printer, select Setup or Menu until 'Print report' shows, and then select entry.

I hope that my post helped!

Past from windows xp to 7. My printer will not scan. Message "no scan option. You need to install or run HP software for the feature.

    Hello Randi1947,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you are unable to scan a document using the PSC 2110. Unfortunately, with the operating system that you currently have, does not contain a complete software functionality. You can only perform a Windows Update on your Windows 7 computer. This information is declared here.

In this document from HP, it states that certain functions are perhaps not available. Given that your scanning capabilities do not work, there are solutions that you can try. Click the HP document, and then click on 'how to scan, fax, print or use a memory card.

  • HP all-in - One C7280 print super slow... same test print windows

My C7280 was good wireless printing... I have since moved the printer in another room, which is right next to my wireless router and now it prints super slow.  It takes minutes for a black and white page.  It almost seems that it is printing on very high resolution and prints 2-3 lines then pauses then prints a little more and takes over the ground.  Any advice or ideas is appreciated!

It's like the thing as being too close to the wireless router, try to move at least 15 feet away.  Also, just turn and then again, sometimes, which erases the slow printing.

  • How do you re - align a printer HP PSC 1400 all-in-one is not printing?

Could someone show me please how to realign a printer HP PSC 1400 all-in-one not print after paper jam could only be released, with difficulty, from the front of the tray of the printer. Thank you.

    Hello

You can do a hard reset with the printer. Be sure and remove the ink cartridge before unplugging the power cord. This will ensure that the cartridges to realign itself when they are inserted in the after that the printer invites you to do so.

    Hard Reset:

Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall

    Take out the toner cartridges.

    Wait for 30 seconds

Plug the power cord into the printer and the wall (be sure that the printer is plugged into the wall and not a surge protector)

Replace the toners/cartridges in the printer

  • Bought a new computer with windows 7. "psc 2210 all-in-one ' will not work with it....

I have a psc 2210 all-in-one printer that I love. I bought a new computer with Windows 7 and I can't make it work. The HP site said that I don't have to download the drivers because windows 7 has already installed, but the main thing is that I can't make it work. Anyone, please help. My printer works perfectly and I can't afford to buy another. (I have a 64 bit)

HP should contribute to this situation. I'm a loyal customer of Hp, but it's ridiculous that they do not create a driver to work with their printers.  All computers are coming with Windows 7.  HP please find a solution!

I could get my HP PSC 2210 all-in-one to print!  I don't know exactly, because I've tried everything I could think of.  My son is a computer on which it has upgraded to windows 7 (64-bit) several months ago - he was able to successfully print on my printer immediately.   I just did an install complete (I bought the full version, not upgrade) to windows 7 (64 bit) - a couple of days and I'm finally to the point where I'm trying to connect printers.  Here is what I tried... again, I tried several things, although I've been in that general area...

connect the printer to the computer

go to the CONTROL PANEL--> Device Manager

Click the arrow to the left of the IMAGING DEVICES (to be developed)

RT click on printer PSC 2200 (should be listed under imaging devices)

    Select PROPERTIES--> DRIVER, then uninstall

Select / tick "remove the driver for the device.

the printer will disappear from the Device Manager (and peripheral Imaging also if it was the only selection)

    Unplug the printer to computer

re - connect the printer to the computer

Device Manager automatically updated (takes a few minutes, the screen refresh let until the yolk! disappears).

Go to the control panel--> devices and printers

Select printer PSC 2200, select Customize your printer, then the printed test page

I hope that you will get a valid test page.  If this is not the case, another option I tried was:

Through the above scenario.  When you get to the step "select PROPERTIES--> DRIVER, then uninstall" Select UNINSTALL directly from this menu (be sure to select/check "remove software pilot")

Continue with the remaining steps above.

I also tried 'Update Driver' of one of the previous screens above... I would like to know if you have a bit of luck!   I'm sorry that's not accurate.  Yet once, I tried everything I could think of, and something finally worked!  (I don't think I tried to 'Turn off the pilot')   Good luck! .........

  • HP psc 1210 all-in-one printer: HP PC all-in-one printer

Printing test page fine.  Prints the first page of the document very well.  After than that, each page becomes lighter and blurred until unreadable.  This "bad s.  Printer is several years old and has been the impression so far.

    Hello @bdr777,

    Welcome to the HP community!

I hope you have a pleasant experience here.

I would like to help with the discoloration print issue you have with your HP PSC 1210 all-in-one printer, when printing from your computer Windows 8.1.

Could you try to make 3 copies of something on the printer for me? If the three pages of fine print, then we know that the problem is related to the software on your computer. If the pages are starting to fade and blur, then we know that the problem is probably with the printer cartridges.

Are the cartridges you use genuine HP? Can you check the date of guarantee on them for me if they are? If they are relatively old cartridges, the nozzles down can be a bit clogged and start getting muddy upward while you print. (This is particularly likely if you use the printer very rarely).

If copies are still faded and blurred, try these steps to clean the cartridges:

    1. Open the all-in-one with the power on and then remove the ink cartridges by slightly pressing the cartridge while pulling gently toward you.
    2. Inspect the ink cartridge ink nozzles and contacts for the accumulation of debris and ink.
    3. To clean build-up, dip a q-tip in distilled water (or water if distilled water is not available) and press the remaining water from the swab.
    4. While now the cartridge by the sides, as shown in Figure 3 below, gently wipe off any buildup of debris.
    5. Reinsert the ink cartridges and perform the alignment of ink cartridges.
    6. Print a test page to check the ink cartridges and rinse any remaining accumulation of the nozzles of the cartridges.

    -Source

If the copies to print without any problem, try to download the HP printer installation wizard to make sure you have the latest drivers for your product.

    I hope this helps!

Please reply to let me know if we have solved the problem.

  • HP psc 2210: clear jam on my hp psc 2210 all-in-one printer

The lights on my printer and the message says: "open the door.  "Clear carriage jam, and then press ENTER.  I do not see a "jam", opened the door and press enter several times.  I still can not reset unplugged machine from one day to the next.

I think the cartridges are "stuck" on the side of the machine and they are unable to drag in the middle.  Can someone tell me how to fix this jam?

Would be very grateful for the help!

    Renee'

Hi @sreneecesand welcome to the Forums of HP!

I see that you are having problems with jam.  I would like to help!

I recommend starting by remove (if possible) ink cartridges and perform a power reset the printer.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I would also say to following the steps outlined in this document:

A display of the Error Message of "open door, clear transport jam, and then press enter" for HP PSC 2170 2100 and 2210 all-in-One Series Printer "

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!
