    Hi all!

My name is Steve and I have a question. I apologize in advance if I'm duplicating this question from another thread.

Our office has 3 computers connected to a router. The HP Officejet Pro 8600 is connected to the network. There is a problem with 2 of the calculated.

The question is then 2 3 computers (1 running XP Professional, 1 running Windows 7 Professional are booted up (off) to the printer start printing gibberish and going to print until its cancellation.) Printing will start until Windows has loaded the login window (user account screen).

Any suggestions? The major functions of printer for everything else.

    Hello

We use the same previous printer cable. However, we can certainly try another cable. There is no problem printing with any of the programs that we use with the exception of one of them, (known compatibility issue).

At this point, we don't know if the gibberish that prints to the windows startup is a problem with windows or perhaps the network.

  • Photosmart 2610 send fax prints gibberish

When I try to send a fax from my Mac, no fax is sent and prints gibberish.  Then there is a break and prints more than gibberish. The same printer, prints just find if I send a file to print.  I'm running the Mavericks 10.9.1.  I send faxes rarely so I'm not sure what might have cuased this problem.

    I tried

    • turn on/off the printer
    • remove the printer and a fax from OS X and then re-install
    • I changed the USB cable to a new port

  • HP LaserJet 4300 prints gibberish for a single user, but prints OK for all others on a Windows 7 32-bit

HP LaserJet 4300 printer installed via LPT1 using Universal Print Driver v5.2.6.9321 on a desktop HP 8100 running Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit SP1.

This printer prints gibberish for a particular user, any type of document that it tries to print.

Not sure when the problem started, the user uses a network printer to work around this problem. It allows to print to one of the other HP printers on our network OK, including another 4300 in the hallway.

Everyone can connect and print the documents themselves OK on this office using this printer.

Tried to restart the HP 8100 and power cycling and off the 4300. Also uninstalled and reinstalled the 4300.

I have updated the firmware on the 4300.

Change the print processor in the printer properties did not help either.

Analysis of virus and malware detected any problems.

Any advice for this problem would be greatly appreciated.

  • Photosmart c4280 print gibberish of the new Macbook Air with OS X10.9

I can't get this to print.  It will show the page after page, a single line of gibberish for a simple print request.  The machine is a new macbook air with 10.9.4 IMac w/10.6 wife print wireless with no problems.  As does my son 7 windows-powered PC.  So I don't know where to turn.  I already did a reload of the pilot with the same results.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    No problem.

Since it can print on other computers, have you tried another connection on this 10.9.4 computer? I just want to see if that makes a difference. You can try to use a USB cable to check if you are receiving the same question. If you do not, then you know that something is interfering with the wireless connection. If you do not have the same issue, then you will need to contact Apple support for assistance. Click here to read: Apple Worldwide Contact.

    Good luck.

  • Why my HP printer does not print gibberish when I try to print information from this forum?

Why my HP printer prints on gibberish when I try to print information from this forum and how do I fix this?

    Hi there dafoster,

I recommend trying another web browser to print for beginners, that the issue could be the browser.

If this does not help, I would uninstall the printer driver and put it back.

Here are links to help with uninstalling: uninstalling the printer software

Reinstall: e-all-in-one printer, HP Photosmart 7525 drivers

Make sure that you restart your computer after uninstalling.

    I hope this helps!

    >... is there a way to solve problems and identify the problem?  I'm on wireless communication ...

My expertise is with printer LaserJet, not inkjet devices;  and I know very little about the problems and wireless protocols.

So I don't thtink I can provide much useful advice about it, sorry.

    > if I have send the document to the printer, it prints perfectly...

I guess by that you are referring to the HP ePrint mechanism.

Still, I'm not familiar with this, but if I understand correctly:

    • You send a document (only certain types are supported) to the e-mail address provided at hpeprint.com
    • Location Server turns your document to an equivalent printer format (i.e. effectively runs through a driver printer residing on this server).
    • Then the printer ready job is sent (not sure of the mechanism) of your device, via your internet router.

So this may use a different driver on your premises and may also use a different route in your printer.

  • Random gibberish printing - 1 PC several printers

A few months ago, I had a problem where my printer would print random gibberish.  Usually, if I just took the same document everything would be ok.  I thought that the problem was probably the printer so I replaced it with a new HP 6100 about 2 weeks ago.  Everything seemed fine, but then today I had the same problem back.  The printed gibberish.  The format of the print had the correct air it's just that the letters are gibberish.  It almost seems as if the mapping of characters has changed.  For example it could replace all A with J and all B with Q etc...

As happens now with two different printers, I think that it must be something on the PC and not specific to the printer.  I'm so stuck because I really don't know what to try to do.  Someone at - it pointers to things I could try that might fix this problem?
    Thank you

    Hello

    1. what measures you have run on the computer to resolve this problem?

    2. what type of records or documents you want to print?

3 is specific to any particular file gibberish?

You can refer to the items listed.

  • Gibberish print on HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 has more in a single 910

Files Adobe PDF prints gibberish, sometimes on my HP Officejet Pro 8500 has most everything one - sometimes in a part of the page it's gibberish, sometimes all this, sometimes none of that.

Good news. A specialist technology mine fixed simply by running a repair on my installed Adobe program.  Don't know how she is, but she said it has an option to run a repair and it did.  I had many phone HP technicians and business software tech trying to solve this problem over the last 3 years.  YAA!  And technicians called Yaa (migrant from Africa).

  • Gibberish

My HP C3180 All In One began printing gibberish.  Also will only print one row per page.  If I want to print a paragraph of 5 lines, it prints pages 5 - 1 row per page - strange figures and letters.  Tried turning printer and turn on, but it does not work.  Can anyone help?  Thank you

I hate to see this one goes unanswered.  This looks like a driver problem or a windows problem.  After all the first test stuff, (reboot, pwering downwards, then upwards), I would probably try reload the software driver.

Another test would be to try to print from a different software.  A browser, Word rpocessing, software, spreadsheet and see if you get the same result.  Do not put too much paper in it so it stops when it runs if it does the same thing.  There is not much info really the question retail.

I remember things like what is happening in the 'old days' (windows 3.1!) but I had no such problems for awhile.

    Good luck

  • HP color laserjet M252dw: trying to print envelopes

Have a new 252dw. Does not correctly print size envelopes. Prints gibberish? CCM, $JcC... across from the end of the envelope.

    Hello @mcrep,

Thank you for showing your interest in the HP Forums! I see that you have problems printing of envelopes, they come out with truncated text. I want to help you.

Here is a document to double check all the parameters of the print driver when printing envelopes (OS X).

I checked the website and couldn't find the Full CV drivers for this model featured with 10.11. We can check to see what drivers are installed for the printer.

Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences.

Click on Printers & Scanners, highlight the name of the printer on the left side and right side of the screen it should show the name of the printer. (Laserjet M252dw)

If the full name of the printer is not correctly, delete and add the printer name back from the list. Click on the sign - to remove the driver and then click on the + sign to add the driver might have to drop-down list to select the name of the printer to add a click.

Let me know how was the name of the printer.

You will have to perhaps download and install the HP v3.0 for OS X printer drivers.

Can you print correctly from other applications?

What application you use to print envelopes?

If you're still having problems, please give the steps you have taken and the results, so I can help you more quickly.

I would like to know if these measures worked for you. You can select the 'accept as Solution' and the 'Thumbs Up' buttons, which will help us and others see that we have the answers! Good luck!
