  My photosmart 7520 quit printing black in the middle of a print job.   All cartridges except black needed changed.  I did this and no black printing.  Changed the black cartridge just in case.  No black printing.  I cleaned the connections of the electrode, cleaned the vent system, clean the cartridges twice, unplugged and then replugged it printer.  I need help!

  Solved my problem!

  After more research, from the homepage, I chose 'tools', then clean the print head (due do it twice) and then aligned on the printer and we are ready to go!

  Black ink that came in my 7520 missed today. I replaced it (with 564xl) but it stopped printing black completely. I went through the countless pages online, 'help' clean cartridges, etc., etc., etc. and have had no luck getting to print in black again. At this point, I burn money on color because of all the pages print diagnostic quality inks I printed.

  Anyone has any ideas to fix this? I've had this printer a few months. What a shame if it's already broken.

  Sorry about that, here's Bob tip for soaking the print head...

  1. Get a pan and put 1/2 "of very hot (not boiling) water in the bottom.
  2. Then, remove all ink cartridges, then remove the print head Assembly.
  3. Gently put the printhead nozzles down in water and soak for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove the print head and gently dry the electrical contacts.
  5. Put the print head in the printer and then reinstall the ink cartridges.

• Why my PhotoSmart 7520 uses color to print black text?

  I noticed when I print the page "Print diagnostic quality", the printer uses the color cartridges to print text in black instead of the black cartridge "pure".  It is a loss of the color of the inks.  How can I get the printer (7520) to use the black cartridge for all black text?

  The diagnosis page uses a mixture of color and black inks to print the text on the page.  This is so that the diagnostic information can be read, even if the black part does not work.  The behavior on the page of diagnosis does not reflect how normal text is printed.

  Note that if the photo paper is selected in the selection of media the printer will use only the color inks and photo to print black same text as black pigmented ink is not compatible with photo paper.

• Photosmart 7520: back to back printing (duplex printing)

  I used to be able to print back to back and somehow, I changed it, but I can't for the life of me find where to change my printing to double sided printing preferences.  I have manual in PDF format to print and do not want to waste paper - it's a matter of adobe or one that I can solve it in the settings of the printer?  Have you looked at the manual of the printer, I can't find anything that relates to my problem. Any help gratefully received.

  I'm not talking Mac - OSX or Mac nothing else, frankly.  The smile.

  I don't know that the Duplex setting must be defined in the Print Options.

  I found the following - directions probably depends on your version of Mac OS x - it may be enough for you to find the configuration:

  I spent days looking for forums, followed by troubleshooting tips and are still unable to print. VERY dissatisfied, please help.

  Facts:

  Using iMac

  Printed docs on order only sometimes and then not at all, printer msg: could not connect to the printer

  Cables, basic settings

  Restarted printer, restarted iMac

  No printing, same msg

  Turned on/turned off wifi router

  Checked the IP address by printer status report, no apparent problems

  Printed test wireless, all passed

  Printer driver is not installed

  Reinstalled printer driver

  No printing, same msg

  Disk utility repaired

  Uninstalled/reinstalled again

  No printing, same msg

  Updated to Yosemite

  Still no printing, printer msg: failed to get the status of the printer

  Crossed again above process

  Check the compatibility of the router w - compatible printer

  All compatible w hi as far as I know

  I'm really at a loss. What Miss me?

  My printer does not print in B & W - it still prints in color, even if I ask you to B & W. I am on Windows 8, tried to put the "print in grayscale" setting to all three options. When I request a print, the printer dialog box comes up and I can alternate color or B & W. The preview is switched between color and B & W. However, when I print, it always prints in color, no matter what I asked.

  Thanks for the reply. I actually spent a good part of the day working on the question and I've finally solved (had not had the opportunity to update my post again). I reinstalled the software and also a USB connection for a wireless changed. It works fine now.

• Photosmart 7520: Black ink not printing

  Black ink is not printing, but the colors and black picture are are OK.  There has been no error messages and troubleshooting routine HP Diagnostics reported nothing wrong. I also ran the last alternative to remove the printheads, soak in water hot, drying, resettlement and using the builtin cartridge cleaning procedure, but still not back to print. Whemn firstg of failure occurred, it had about half the black ink remaining in the cartridge. After trying the procedure clean has nothing helps, I installed a new cartridge purchased about three weeks ago. I did the rest of cleaning, soak and then clean with this new cartridge. The printer is connected wireless to this computer Windows 7-64, and also sireless related to a desktop Vista 32 machine and a Vista 64 laptop machine. All computers have the black printing defect.

  Any ideas?

  The machine is out of warranty.

  Then, I propose updates through Adobe and also fill out your Windows updates also.

  Adobe:

  Open Acrobat or Reader.
  Select help - search for updates. If a new update is available, it installs automatically.
  Once installed, you can restart a computer.
  Then try to print the PDF file.

  We've had this printer for over a year (so it is out of warranty). We had no any trouble hologram photography large format using 8.5 "x 11 photo" in the paper tray when you use our old computer, which took place from Windows 7. But that the computer is dead and we are running 8.1 on our new machine. I don't know if that is the question, but thought I would mention it.

  Today, I was trying to print large size images (but not larger than the 8.5 x 11 format) and it does not work. They are constantly being printed out of the Center. If it was the same amount each time, I would just understand how to change where images are focused and go with it. But it's different every time. When you print a portrait, he cut the upper part; sometimes barely; sometimes half of the photo. When I print in landscape mode, it cut the left end; Yet once, sometimes slightly, other times by a large part of the picture. It's as if the slips of paper in front of where it is supposed to go.   The symptoms you describe are consistent with slippery pickup rollers, which can occur after a long period of power slippery coated photo media.  In the paper here troubleshooting steps can help reolsve issues.

• PhotoSmart 7520 does not connect to "Web Services"

  My new PhotoSmart 7520 eAll-in-one printer will not connect to the "web services" today. Yesterday all top and work without any problem. Any app I try, it gives me the same error message.

  I run Win XP, the computer is connected to a wireless router with LAN feature. My printer is connected through the LAN. It was working fine yesterday. I did no changes since last night my computer system.

  I'm and turned on the printer and went to print simple Crusaders and received the message that it cannot connect to the 'Web Services '. Sever after tests, I check wireless settings and it shows that it works with an excellent signal strength. The Mac address shows as does the correct IP address for the printer.

  I checked my router to see if she was talking to the printer and everything was correct and functional. He showed increased activity with the printer wireless and work, the IP and Mac addresses were both correct.

  -Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
  -Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
  -Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
  -On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
  -Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
  -Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
  -Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
  -Click 'apply '.
  
  Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.
  
  After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.
