Printing network for Officejet 6313 freezes

I have an OfficeJet 6313 cable to a network.

With a Mac OS 10.5, I can not print even though I can scan. When I print a document from any program, it goes to the queue printing but seems stuck in a random percentage of completion. Thus, for example, the print queue will display 'print page 1 72% complete' or 'print page 1 43% complete', but there is no reaction from the printer.

Also the printer printed fine via the USB port on the Mac, so I think a network problem?

Well so be it because I've sorted it finally. The printer has been installed at random as another series that would explain why he couldn't print.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830: MacBook Pro does not print wirelessly for Officejet Pro 6830

I used to have an old HP Officejet 7210 who was once able to print wirelessly from my MacBook pro, but at some point, wasn't able to do wireless and had to print with usb connection.

For Black Friday, we bought an Officejet Pro 6830 and on internet I downloaded the latest driver for my MacBook Pro and my windows laptop of wifes and our desktop PC. The mobile office and windows had no problem, but once more, I was not able to print wireless from the MacBook Pro. When I try to print wireless the printer dialogue indicates he's trying to deal with and then it says "the printer is currently in use". So I'll still have to plug the USB to print with this new printer is less than a month.

I was able to print the wireless test page and he noted that the test page bypassed print drivers. In addition, I am able to go into the printer utilities and see how much ink, I have and the various settings of the printer but I just cannot print documents from applications wireless.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hello

First of all, do not forget to reboot your router by unplugging its power for a while, then let it 2-3 minutes to reboot and restart the printer.

Make sure that the printer is connected wireless and blue wire it light.

Try now to go to System Preferences > print & scan and click on the sign more. you see the printer listed?

May you had prior display the problem started with your previous printer? for example a new router, changes of settings, etc. ?

  • Network for Officejet 4500

My situation is similar to MaryGibson81, in which she refers to «...» Officejet 4500 Wireless - MacBook install with USB, but can't find it on the network... ».

My Officejet 4500 is connected to the network, but in the configuration of the process, I got a message that our laptops with Mac OS 10.6 (and 10.4) were not connected... but I checked that each was connected.

Therefore, we can print only with the USB connection to the printer.

What part of the plant do?

    Thanks, Mike

    Print Doc,

I finally got to Hewlett Packard staff (saying that I did not use a Mac).

Finally, I was connected to a Karen who helped me to understand that there are several versions of the driver that are installed with the CD supplied with the printer. One is for USB connection and another for the wireless connection.

The wireless connection is characterized by "Hello".

The manual (which was supposed to be installed from the CD but I got online) makes no mention of this fact for systems Mac operating; However, the manual mentions that there are different versions of the USB drivers and Wireless Windows operating systems.

Just a little more in detail in the installation instructions would have saved a lot of time and effort on my part and the part of Karen to explain what is not explained in the manual... and to print Doc!

    Thank you very, very much!

  • Print head for Officejet L7380

Last week I went to buy some C9381A and C9382A printheads at the service of hp, but they ask us to give back the old printheads, it is true? My printhead is also outdated. If I don't give them, I can't buy a new one. If this true, I won't buy your product again.

I don't know why this guy is forcing them to return the old printheads. Anyway, you can buy it directly from HP using HP Shopping site.

  • Photoshop Elements will not be printed for Officejet Pro 8550

I sent this e-mail to HP and Adobe in the hope of finding a solution. Ask help from anyone. And Yes, 8550 is my default printer.

I have problems with the software compatibility between Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 and the software for the HP Officejet Pro 8500. I write Adobe and HP in the hope that one of the two companies can find a solution rather than pointing the finger at the other software.

The short version is this: whenever I try to print photos on PE8 software, the software reads like a fax printer and tries to send it to the fax printer, rather than read the regular printer software.

The long version is: for two years, I had a wonderfully compatible relationship between my Vista Home Premium software, drivers and the HP Officejet 6210 and my Photoshop Elements 5.0 solution Center.

Recently, I upgraded to the Officejet 8500 pro (909 a) and had a problem with the PE5.0.2 software. Simply, it wouldn't load - get in what concerns the installation of plug-ins before locking up.

So I bought a package of PE8-Prime Elements 8.0 and installed both.

Impressions of the printer; PE8 program loads, allows me to edit photos, does everything it is supposed to do - until it's time to print.

When I first try to print, I get a dialog box with several options from drop-down menu, such as the printer to use, type of paper, print quality, and the plateau. But when I'm as much as you try to use more options, it becomes obvious that PE8 reads the printer such as a fax machine - even if box drop-down displays A) is not the fax machine and B) ordinary printing software is the default printer.

What complicates things is when I cancel, the program calls and when I click on file > print I get a dialog box tell me before "to perform tasks related to printer such as layout or print a document, you must install a printer."

So the problem of the egg or the chicken? I think the problem is the printer driver, but is not sure. The printer prints out of any program (Firefox, IE8, Office suite, even Adobe reader 9, Acrobat 8 Standard) with the exception of PS8. However, the print of PE8 program cannot find the printer and PE5 does not load. I can get pictures to print, but only through Windows Photo Gallery, and even then, it's a roundabout way.

I've installed and uninstalled programs, tried to update the drivers and software, and connected through my network and a printer cable and it still does not work. I had the same problem, but with an Officejet 6500 and Windows 7 64-bit.  He always tries to print to the fax Officejet, even if the Officejet printer is selected.  I found a way around the problem.

Try to rename the fax to something else than "HP Officejet 8500 A909a series Fax".  I've renamed mine 'Office FAX'.  I suspected very long names but similar was the cause of the problem and rename the now authorized fax PSE 8 distinguish them and print them on the Officejet printer correctly.

    Hi LChristofaro,

I have studied your error message and the Msiexec.exe error and this is a problem with windows install. I would recommend restarting your windows installer.

    To do this:

    1. run "Services.msc" (without the quotes).

    2. double-click on "Windows Installer" in the Services list.

    3. click on stop, and then click OK.

    4. Click Start, and then click OK.

You restart the computer and try the installation again.

Let me know if this helped.

    Thank you

    @Lon001

Thanks for your post on hp.com. While I'm not an expert on your printer, I have an iPad Air and have printed between her and my laserjet printers. As long as you have your iPad and your printer on the same network, you just click on what you want you want to print > click the blue icon 'file' in the lower left corner > click on the button "print" > follow the wizard

  • Mac OS 10.5 Hello cannot find the printer driver for P1606dn connected via a wired network.

I tried to connect my HP Laserjet Pro P1606dn to my PowerMac G5 running Mac OS 10.5.8.  I have connected the priner to my LAN via the Ethernet cables and Switch 8 port NetGear.  I then properly installed printer driver from the CD provided on the Mac and went into system preferences / Print & Fax to add the printer to the list of the connected printers.  Click on the button «+»  The HP P106dn was listed in the table (kind = Hello).

I chose this entry in the table, and the dialog box immediately went into action: the pullodwn "to Print using" listed the message 'Please select a printer or driver model' greyed and a spinning wheel called 'Search for new drivers' appeared underneath.  The dialog box search but never find the printer driver (I waited for 20 minutes without success).  I installed some other HP printers in this way on this machine with no problems, for example, HP Color Laserjet 2605dn.  Why this method does not work with this printer?

I was able to connect to this printer with other (Intel) Macs in my house through this arrangement of LAN.  Is the printer driver for the Intel Macs only?

I disconnected the printer from the local network and connected directly to my Mac with a USB cable.  The same process, and I was able to connect to this printer.  Successfully print a document page.  Although it gives me a work-around for Mac G5, I need to share this printer with other Macs in my household.

I went on the HP download site and downloaded the latest driver for this printer, re-installed the printer driver on Mac and repeat the steps for the arrangement of LAN (above) complete the connection via the Print & Fax dialog box.  The result was the same: spinning wheel looking for a printer driver are not.

I don't know what else to do, or why this facility will not work.  I would much appreciate it if someone could give an explanation for this or any suggestions as to what can be done?

    Ed

I'm sorry to get back to you on this so late.  I was OOT Sunday all day.

Ok. So, here is what happened.  As I mentioned at the end of my last post, I was in the process of resetting my printing system, repair disk permissions, then restarting.   Reset the printing system wiped out all my printers in the "Printers" pane in the "Print & Fax" system preferences dialog window  I moved forward and fix permissions of the drive on my system disk.  A number of authorities have been repaired, but nothing that I could decipher impression related ro.  Finally, I restarted my Mac and went directly to the dialog box print & Telec.

As the printers pane was still empty, I'm gone before adding the simplest of my printers (LaserWriter 360 connected via AppleTalk) who has always been correctly added to the list printers in the past.  No chance!  WAITED a few minutes everything is was "Looking for new drivers.".  I tried the Color Laserjet 2605dn.  No luck.  Then the Laserjet P1606dn.  No luck.

Thus, this way of solution did not work, and now I was without any driver associated with one of my connected printers.  I decided that I had no choice to rebuild the operating system.  I started my DVD of Installation OS 10.5.4 to rebuild my system (without reformatting my HARD drive).  Once which was finished, I've immediately went to the Print & Fax dialog box and tried to add in each of my printers.  In a few seconds the LaserWriter was added successfully, then the HP Color Laserjet 2605dn, and FINALLY, the Laserjet P1606dn.  Thus, it appeared that my upgrade to OS 10.5.8 was at the origin of the problem.

I proceed with Sofware Update to restore the computer to OS 10.5.8 and again once, went to the dialog box Print & Fax to experiment with the addition of each of the printers again.  Stopping before the acceptance of each 'Add', I could find quickly and successfully the drivers for each of the connected printers.  So, it doesn't seem to be a problem with OS 10.5.8 find printer drivers.

After reflection, I concluded that the problem must have appeared during the upgrade to OS 10.4.11 OS 10.5.4, but it remained hidden until I tried to add these new printers to the list of printers.

I appreciate the reference to the last download Laserjet full feature software.   Since I was able to solve the problem without it, I mind not do the download.

I want to thank you for patiently stay with me during the last two weeks, your advice and comments.  Just having someone to "talk" about it, it was reassuring and useful that I went along to apply each suggestion to the problem.  I tried to solve this problem several times on my own before that, the search of the forums, and I hesitated to participate actively – to reach out.  I'm feeling very different about it now.  Once again, thanks a lot.

  • I'm unable to install the printer driver for HP OfficeJet G55xi

I am trying to install the printer driver for HP OfficeJet G55xi.

When I went to the HP site, it said to install Windows 7 operating system printer driver, by plugging the printer on my Windows 7 computer using a USB cable.  I did, but it was not installed.

I also need to install the HP Director software.

I had a computer technician to connect remotely to my computer to install the printer.  He had to install additional tools that are available on the same site where I tried to install the printer driver.  I don't know how he did, but I watched it.  Anyway, he managed to install additional tools, which resulted in the printer being installed correctly.

It's a pity that the site where I download the printer driver does not provide adequate instructions for how to do this.  I guess the solution is hiring a computer technician to do it for you.
