• NETGEAR 7550 & printer HP Photosmart 5520, loss of network connection

  Connect a new printer HP Photosmart 5520 using Netgear 7550 DSL Modem and router with AT & T Wireless.  Software installed without any error, but after 5 min or so nothing is able to connect to the printer.  Restarted the printer and ping started the ip address of the printer.  Once the printer is connected to the network, I was able to ping it, but after 5 minutes the ping failed.

  Other deviceses wireless have no problem connecting to resources (internet, file shares, etc.).

  I also took the printer at home to see if the problem exists.  Printer had no problem and was able to ping from one day to the next.

  The problem seems to be a combination of the Netgear router and this printer HP (firmware?).

  Any suggestions in addition to the uninstall of the printer/scanner software?

  Well Yes. I would say replace the router - and not to buy an another Belkin.  Stick with brands like Linksys or Netgear.

  I understand that you are experiencing connectivity problems when you use your HP Photosmart e-all-in-one 5520, printer in combination with your Windows laptop.  I want to help you with this.

  The first thing I recommend you try running HP and Scan Doctor for Windows printing.  Click here to install.  Ideally, this utility automatically detect and correct problems with the configuration of your software.

• How do we install the all-in-one for my photosmart 7280

  I just bought a new macbook with mac OS X 10.9.4 and I just cannot print pictures of her on my photosmart 7280. the generic driver provided in USS also seem to, I only print in B & W. I can't understand how to scan or use any other feature that I have on my PC which runs the full features of HP all-in-one software.  Thanks for your help

  SOLVED ASU has not installed the authentic hp driver. It was download and install a generic driver. So I downloaded the full package manually on the apple support site and installed. Work very well. Works works, photo printing, scanning and fax. I also have the leverage of available ink.

  I've been troubleshooting for hours, but I can't connect wirelessly to my computer to my new HP Photosmart 5520.

  All are connected with excellent resistance to the home network, but none of the laptops will complete the HP printer installation process.

  One is a Windows 7 Dell and the other is a Macbook Air with Mac OS10.  The Mac will recognize the printer when I go to add the printer in preferences, but it cannot print to the printer.  He repeats to me there are problems connecting with the printer.  No computer cannot find the printer using the HP device connection software.

  I was able to print using the email address of the printer from my iPhone with HP ePrint, but otherwise I can't.

  Thanks for the advice, but it is not really relevant, there is no wifi comm errors.  My wireless access point is not part of the router and the network wifi, as well as my home ethernet network is inside the firewall.  The printer receives an IP address very well, I have a reserved for her on my dhcp server address (same as I do for my sky box, tv etc.). It works fine for everything except customers also wifi. So direct print jobs internet, wifi works from iDevices, printing from a working client wired network, but a client who, also on wifi, falls down. It is a single subnet lan with some addresses reserved and others from a pool.  I made a little chart - the DHCP server is actually in the firewall, which is a computer card. In this case, the laptop also has a reseved for lan and wifi addresses. I have disabled the firewall windows on the home network.

  My printer HP 5520 indicates that it is connected to my network, but the wireless printing does not work correctly.

  This brings me to wonder if I had installed the complete driver.  I installed from the CD.  It seems a lot more hostile user driver D5160 who introduced many shortcuts with icons to quickly access the print speed, better printing, photo, etc. with the drop down menus to further customize the settings and the ability to save settings customized on a screen.  I'm sure all the same options are there in the new driver but not too easily accessible, certainly for others less users lean back on my computer and there seems to be no way to save the custom settings.

  Can anyone say if this is the best I can expect, or I missed something out somewhere during the installation and there is a more user-friendly version?

  There has been some changes in how drivers are designed for the for the 5520 Photosmart D5160.

  Some of these changes have taken place for many different reasons, but one of them is that many of these options are integrated into the software normally used for printing. Many of these custom settings are in programs such as Microsoft Word and photo printing software. Instead of doubling these services and leading to conflicts of drivers, these options were left more to the software providing information for the print driver on is made on the rear part.

  It is the correct printing preferences screen for Photosmart HP 5520. I hope this helps.

  Photosmart C7100 printers had a few models including the C7150 and the C7180.  Both use 02 cartridges that you ordered, assuming you are in the United States or to a region that uses the 02 cartridges.  (Look at the current cartridges in your printer to check.  If you originally bought the printer in a country and moved to the other cartridges would be different and you need to contact HP for a restart of the regionalization).

  Help, I'm completely to the top of the Creek with my new wireless printer. Two problems. I can't download the software because my system is. Mac 10.4.11 and cannot be updated (I have no intention to replace at the time of the sand). I was able to print, but are unable to recognize the other to scan. It is important for me, so new purchase is useless if I can't do that.
  The other option could e-mail to my ipad stuff and can print wireless. Hah! If only. My ipad I.O.S. 7.0.4 cannot find any printer, even when it is turned on and connected to the same router etc. Argh. Please someone suggest something to get out me of this ever decreasing circles.

  I solved this problem of digitization by scanning my email from the printer, then download PDF or redirect on.
  However because I cannot use the hp printer installation software in my old system and can not find the PF OSX10.4 and only have the headdress of scanning for previous printer I don't think that any other option is open for me.

  Suppose that you have unplugged the unit and plugged in.  If it's still working now, return it for a replacement.
