Printing without Word?

At work, we have a program on a computer that doesn't have a word but is a Windows 7 operating system.  I want to plug in a USB key and print some documents from her but don't know if I can without Word.  I don't want to lose anything either upward lol. This is why I post here, after all, it's not my computer lol.  Thank you in advance, Chris

In order to print documents, the computer must have a software that can 'understand' documents.

If you are allowed to connect a USB flash drive to your work computer (and some companies do not allow this, but have taken steps to disable this ability), the first thing to do is to connect the USB key and double click on one of the files.  If it opens so that you can read, you can print it (usually by clicking on file > print in the program that is used to view it).

If you receive a message that Windows does not recognize the file or does not have a program to open it, then if you are allowed to install the software on your work computer (and you very well may not be allowed to do).

If the documents were created in Word 2003 or an earlier version (the file names end .doc), you can download and install the free Word--> http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=4 Viewer

If the documents were created in Word 2007 or newer (file names end .docx), you must install the Word Viewer, AND then install the compatibility free Office--> http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3 Pack

Word Viewer is also supposed to be able to view (and print) the following text:

  • Word Document authorizing the macros (.docm)
  • Rich Text Format (.rtf)
  • Text (.txt)
  • Formats (.htm, .html, .mht, .mhtml) Web Page
  • WordPerfect 5.x (.wpd)
  • WordPerfect 6.x (.doc, .wpd)
  • Works 6.0 (.wps)
  • Works 7.0 (.wps)
  • XML (.xml)

  • DeskJet 2050 all-in-One - J510: how to print without borders?

    I try to print my project on paper to A4 borderless, but it seems that no matter how to change settings, the results still had a border. Can someone give me some advice on how I could solve this problem?

    I print on Word, and my printer is HP Deskjet 2050 all-in-One - J510a.

    Hello.

    The deskjet 2050 printer does not support printing without margins, as you will find by notebook loads below:

    Without borders: No.

    http://h20195.www2.HP.com/v2/GetPDF.aspx/4AA1-1465EEE.PDF

    This material allows to print only to a certain margin.

    The lower border is 0.57 ", the top border is 0.06 'and the left and right borders are 0.125. any impression beyond these margins is cut off due to the limitations of harware.

    Hello, I've just joined this forum and I am new on this.

    I just want to ask for help regarding our printer at the school. I had problem printing in MS Excel, I installed the printer and set as a default value, but still is not printing. When I tried to print, it will just say "Document pending to print" then it will disappear. I tried to install again, and then I had a copy of the printer HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060 (1 copy), that I now use to print in Word format and it works, but I found the problem when I tried printing in Excel. I tried to select the copy of the printer but it does not display and only the default is illustrated - in the printer list when you print without printer HP DEskjet (1 copy) is displayed. Everything I do now is copy from Excel and paste the word so I could print the document. I also tried reinstalling the printer but still the same. Help, please.

    I bought a printer all-in-one Officejet 4630 a few months ago, and all went well until a few days ago: all of a sudden, I was unable to print Word files (2013), or Notepad files ("the parameter is incorrect" message).

    Printing of PDF files and anything from the Web works fine.

    I did not make any significant changes to my computer or a printer.

    4. In the Temp folder, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard to select everything in the folder. Select "delete" on your keyboard. No files and folders on your computer will be deleted. This only deletes temporary files. If a file is always be used by a program on your keyboard will rise pop to 'jump' the item.
    5. Once your temporary files are deleted, close the Temp folder.
    6. On your desktop, right-click on the recycling bin and left, click "empty recycle bin"

    Hello

    @Zainuu

    below is a minimal code required to print without dialogue (it works on my machine) - but without the advanced settings, see the description of link below:

    var pj:PrintJob = new PrintJob();

    var started: Boolean = pj.start2 (null, false);

    If (Started)

    {

    pj.addPage (this);

    PJ. Send();

    };

    PJ = null;

    you call start (...) and start2 (...) in your code, then you would get visible dialog.

    Here are a few documents from Adobe on how ot set up printing options for use with start2 (...), good reading:
