  I hope someone can help.

  I am trying to install a new copy of the CS6 of media in box on a new iMac OS X Mavericks running.  Instantly, the Adobe installer fails with the message:

  Setup could not initialize.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.

  I downloaded and installed Adobe Support Advisor, run it and it found no errors.

  This iMac has no DVD player, so I had to pull the files on the network via a share.

  Does anyone else have this problem? More imortantly, is - anyone solved this issue?

  Hi David,

  If the contents of the disc on another mac, then move the installer on your new iMac and then try to install it. If you still get the same error as you can download the installer from this link.

  I just did a clean install of SL on a new iMac 21.5 inches and then installed Fusion 3.0. When I tried to install WinXP Pro, I get a message saying that there is no bootable CD media. Interestingly, Fusion sees the CD when I start first, since it proposes to install this OS. I tried two diffΘrents CDs, freshly created from an ISO image, and I know that the CD is good (and bootable). I'm about to fall back to Fusion 2.06 and see if it works, but I thought I'd check first to see if someone would have a suggestion that I could try. I've seen similar positions (CD disappeared to Midway in installation), so I guess that it is a known problem with 3.0.

  The extent of the downgrade goes, since it is a new installation of merger with no virtual machine is it's easier to just remove the application and no preferences file may exist, and then do a clean install of 2.06?

  I hope that VMWare will fix this problem quickly, since it is a bit frustrating to buy a product and know it does not work...

  Have you tried to use an ISO Image?

  Note: When you use utility disk in order to have a bootable ISO Image, you must select Master CD/DVD without encryption in which case by default, it will have an extension .cdr file and in version 1.1 of the merger and later does not need to be changed in .iso, although one can if one chooses to. A default .dmg image is compressed and is not bootable, as an uncompressed .dmg will start if changed in .iso and of course the source CD/DVD should be bootable in the first place.

  To create an ISO Image using disk utility...

  1 insert the CD or DVD disc into the optical drive of your computer.

  2. open disk utility (/ Applications/Utilities/Disk utility).

  3. Select the CD or DVD drive in the list of disks and volumes.

  4. Choose file > new > "Disk Image from (name of the disc)."

  5. type a name for the disk image.

  6. choose "DVD/CD master" from the Image Format pop-up menu.

  7 choose "none" from the encryption pop-up menu.

  8. click on save.

  After you have made the ISO Image and then eject the disc source from the optical drive.

  Then, set the ISO Image as the CD/DVD in the leaf of the parameters of the Virtual Machine.

  I am iDVD 7.1.2 running on my iMac 2011 without problem.  The place where you want to install to and you can post a screenshot of the message you get when you try to install it.

  A solution would be to use the demo version of transmission to install iDVD and themes, especially if you are trying to install from a disk of iLife 09 or 11.

  I have a printer HP Officejet 5610 printer I used quite happy with my new HP laptop which came with Windows 8, and then on the advice, I've upgraded to 8.1 Win.  Use this combo since February this year with no problems.

  This morning running the printer and started getting printer 'offline' when attampting to print.  Tried troubleshooting by using HP Web sites (including this forum where I found a thread about the mistake of the printer 'offline').  The final recommendation recommended re - install tried as long as.   It appears the togo through the uninstall & then install for this printer, but after a long while I get an error message telling me "fatal error." and the installation is aborted (i.e. reversed out)

  Are leaning on what is still connected to my laptop and, curiously, the fax for this printer is listed but not the printer.

  Don't know if this can help, but the HP error log...

  Welcome to the HP Forums.

  I see you have some connectivity issues when you try to print from your computer Windows 8.1 update.

  I have some suggestions that in order to solve this problem, we can try.

  Click on the first link which explains the uninstall of the printer software.  Windows 8.1 is NOT listed in the instructions, but the instructions of Windows 8 will work the same way.

  Software has been removed, restart the computer.  When the computer is back up and running, please do a search for the fax and the printer and make sure that everything has been removed.

  The next step would be to reinstall the software and drivers. Click on the following link for HP Deskjet and Officejet full feature software and drivers.  Save the download on your computer desktop so it creates it's own icon.  This will make it easy to find download.  Double-click on the icon and follow the installation instructions.

• Problem installing on the new Macbook Pro 2.0.1

  I just received my brand new MBP today. Rather than migrate, I want to reinstall all my applications.

  I just got to merge (which I am not owner - no trial) and get an error message during the installation that saying "Merge cannot be installed on this computer", "a reboot of the system is required before installing VMware Fusion" (see attachment). It goes without saying that I have followed the instructions... not 4 times with no success.

  I have re-downloaded the software 2 times.

  MBP 2.53 / 4 GB ram

  Take a look at the following response to a possible work-a-round until something official comes. Re: vmware fusion cannot be installed on this computer - please quit VMware fusion before installing this version? can't install merger at all.

  It is also a way to edit the script that performs the audit around but it's a little harder to try the solution of Dscherckin the related first response.

  I downloaded the Illustrator c5 for Mac file. When I click in following the instructions on the INSTALLATION it says
