Problem opening excel attachment on Windows 8 of Yahoo mail

I have upgraded to Windows 8. In that in the emails and accounts, I added my Yahoo account also. But whenever I get the excel (.xls) attachment on my Yahoo! account, that it does not open if I access my Yahoo account through the start of the Mail option screen. However, if I go on Google chrome and search of Yahoo mail and you connect and open my account then the attachment opens there. Why does this happen?

  • Problem opening excel data document written to.

    Hello

    I am trying to write data to a spreadsheet file, and I believe that I am going through the correct steps but have a problem when I try to open the file.  My file name has the extension .xlsx (Excel 2007) and I opened the folder I specified in order to create the file but when I try to open it it comes up with an error saying that the file may be in the wrong format or have the incorrect extension.  I know that I can write to a text file and open the text file with Excel but I tried to do it this way and I just want to know if I'm doing something wrong or if there is a problem with Excel.  A tidbit of useful that I should probably included, it's that I'm using LabVIEW 8.6.

    Thank you

    bsteinma

    Try to open a file with the extension .xls.  See if you get the same error.  In my opinion, change, microsoft did with Office 2007 to get to these. - x extensions is ridulcous and will cause more problems than its worth.  I have here an advantage to this 'new' file format.  Work with the normal .xls files and I bet your problem will disappear.

  • Want to report a problem with Windows 7 and Yahoo mail. Where should I go?

    I installed Windows 7 about a month ago... just after its release, and found that over 50% of my emails that I have to come through Yahoo mail do not appear when I click to open (it opens but shows a page white.. .other than to, from and subject). Then when I click on answer, and then I see the message.  I don't know it's just a bug with Windows 7, but I don't know where or how do I report him.
    Thanks for your help.

    Firefox has a feature to view all your open tabs in one or more groups of tabs. You can show and hide this screen by pressing Ctrl + Shift + e. Is this the one you see, or something different?

    If you ended up with more than a group of tabs and you want to consolidate them, you can drag the thumbnail images all in one group.

  • Problem opening an attachment I sent on the email

    When I send an attachment to an E-mail on Outlook Express attachment is too big on email for Mr. read completely before you send it. When I click on the attachment paperclip icon to hopefully reduce the size, appears the following message in a box: this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the folder options panel.  Sorry, I don't know how. Can anyone help.  I have a XP operating system.

    You did not just go. Make sure OE is defined as default and if you still have a problem, copy & paste the error message, so you can see it in its entirety.

However, I played a bit and discovered that the problem is only isolated to the attachment that was a scan from my printer, tried other parts of my document folder and their agreement. I'm assuming that I did something wrong in the scanning process. Going to let go now I can work around it. Mnay thanks. John

  • Update for VISTA Business automatically leads to not being able to open the attachment in Windows Mail

    After an automatic update from Microsoft for VISTA Business on July 16, I now can't open attachments in the reading of e-mail messages in Windows Mail.  An error message indicates that the file is not found.  I have now to save all attachments and open my files before I read attachments.  It's very frustrating.  I had a similar experience, only a couple of weeks where a parameter is passed by an automatic update to VISTA leading to read all the emails being hidden from view.  I had never seen that before and it cost me £40 to get DELL Technical Support to sort for me.  Microsoft should not do this kind of thing are they?  Should I just revert to the original system (I have to pay DELL to do it for me) and just not allow Microsoft Update VISTA more.  I have my own business, no IT support and I want to just use my easy notebook for standard applications.  Nothing complicated.  I can't afford to waste time and money sorting on my laptop when I should run my own business in very difficult times.  Thanks to anyone who can advise me.

    I understand exactly what you're saying.

    Try this with updates to uninstall the problem and change the eo settings you decide what it is installed:

    Click Start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window

    > then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, on the page where you clicked "Installed updates", click on change settings at the top left corner it
    > Change update settings in the next page of AutoUpdate to "check for updates but let me choose etc" > OK ".
    When you take a look at pending updates, you can either download/install them one at the time, namely the update causing you problems.
    > or if you do not need an individual > right-click on > UAC prompt > hide it
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    And if you really need to go back to factory settings, save your self money.

    Dell recovery back to the means-to-do-it factory settings are listed below:

    Dell recovery options:

    It's way to Dell to reinstall from the DVD on your computer.

    And that way if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive.

  • When you open an attachment in windows mail it seems to take ages to open sometimes up to 5 minutes.

    can you help me

    Hello

    1. What is the format of the attachment?
    2. which browser is installed on the computer?
    3. what anti-virus is installed on the computer?

    Method 1: Temporarily disable anti-virus and see if the problem occurs.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

    Method 2: Perform the clean boot and see if the problem resolves.

    To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    Note: follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

    See point 1 here: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#1

    Then locate the antivirus interference (there are a number of antivirus which are not compatible with Windows Mail programs).  See point 3 on the same page: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

    Then try to empty your temporary Internet files of Internet Explorer (Tools |) Internet Options | Delete files).

    Then compact and repair the Windows Mail database (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/)

    See it if you can save attachments (keep it before opening).  Note (point 3 above) you will need to remove and add your e-mail account, if the antivirus is interfering.

    see if that helps.

  • Cannot open an attachment in Windows Live Mail 2012.

    Original title:

    Clive

    I can't open attachments in Windows Live Mail 2012.  On right click on it I just get the option 'open', not 'open with '.  I think that it may be trying to use a path or a program, but don't know how to change it.  Any suggestions?

    It's weird, the Mail app does not keep a separate list of file associations, it should just pull some Manager by default is the type of file by name.  I agree with your idea, kill it and reinstall it and determine if it starts to behave properly.

  • I have adobe renewed yesterday and now I can't open excel or word docs of attachments of mail electronics outlook.

    Hi troy1245,

    So, try to uninstall the drive from your computer and then check if you are able to open word or excel attachments.
