Turn the screen of the laptop in a book version.

Original title: book/laptop

A friend told me that when she used the laptop screen converted into a version of the book where I rest my laptop on the side to read. How can I go - on setting this back to normal? Thanks in advance for helping me solve this problem.

The ability to rotate the screen image is a characteristic of your video
card, to help work with instructors who turn to the portrait
orientation. Almost certainly you accidentally pressed Ctrl-Alt, and
an arrow key.

Rotate using these keys.

Click Start > right click on computer > left click on properties > see if you have Vista 32 bit or Vista 64-bit installed.

It will also tell you here what Service Packs, if any, are already installed.

Then, choose the download of 'bit' OK to use to install Service Packs, first of all the installation of SP1.

    Vista SP1 32-bit (x 86): http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30

    Hello

    1. What is the brand and model of the laptop?

2 have you made any changes to the computer before the show?

Method 1:  Change the boot order in the BIOS settings:

    See the following steps:

Important: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    (a) start on typing Dungeon either F1, F2, F10, Esc, or DEL to enter the BIOS Setup.

Warning: some manufacturers use F10 for recovery of the system.

    (b) glance to "Drive Configuration", "Boot order" or similar

    (c) check the second drive the first boot device CD/DVD and hard drive.

    (d) to save the settings and exit.

    Method 2:

Step 1: Trying to boot into safe mode and see if that helps.

Start your computer in safe mode:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

If step 1 work, try step 2

Step 2:  A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

Note: when you're done to diagnose, follow step 7 in the article to start on normal startup.

  • White screen on my laptop in Satellte C series

    Hello

After turning the laptop on all I get is white screen, clues?

I found very good answer on this forum.

A white screen usually means that the backlight is on but no signal reaches the graphics card on the screen.

This could have many reasons such as:

    broken-a the cable screen
    -graphics card failure
    -view controller malfunction
-some short circuit between the graphics card and the screen

In your situtaion I use the warranty (if still present), send the machine to the nearest available service provider and let them check the hardware on some failures...

That's all I can tell you from my experience with white screens.

Looks like your cousin got infected by malware or virus as can still be seen on the screen, but it takes forever to do anything. You'll need to use the HP recovery media and wipe and rebuild the computer to solve the problem.

    Please help me.

    Thank you.

I don't know if it's possible, but you could try to go into display settings and set an external because it is main if possible display and then disable the laptop with Fn + F2 but idk if it will remain inactive if you portable computer power, then on again :/

Update: how to do this, right-click on the screen area and select the screen resolution while having the connected external display then of you will find a drop down a 3rd or a 4th do not remember but inside, you'll find stuff like show desktop on the screen 1 or 2 to find out what your external display screen number is and apply it to this form then computer laptop screen should turn black as it is turned off and you will see desktop area is on external display so I hope that this has resolved your request.

  • The screen of my laptop not turn on after being in mode 'sleep'

Let me start by saying that I am a novice in computer repair, so advice please put in laymon's terms! My problem started a few weeks ago, when my Dell inspiron 1526 would not resume when I opened the lid of the laptop.  (I rarely have to cut the power, just close the lid) When he started to arrive, I have to cut the power and turn off several times to get my computer to come back.  I did research on the internet for a solution (because I had resorted to all leaving the lid open).  I found one that worked for me... I did the following:

Click on the start menu, then right click on "computer" and click Properties.
Click the Manager option of devices on the left.
Under "System devices", one of the first should be the appliance close the lid.  Right click and click on "Update Driver Software".
Click "Browse my computer...". ", and then"Let Me pick from a list... ". »
    Uncheck it "Show compatible Hardware".
In the list on the right, scroll down, select Manager of Volume and click Next.

It was running great until the other day when I accidentally clicked on the Start button and then put the computer in mode 'sleep'.  Well now the computer screen lights up not at all.  All my family and I spent the weekend all put under tension of the laptop then turn it back, nothing will do.  I am now in panic mode since I use my computer to work from home as well as to take some college courses online! I found a lot of advice on this subject, but all of them are to be able to actually see what is on the screen! I need to know how to put the screen on the first!  I tried to take out the battery and unplug it but that no longer works. I know the computer becomes power b/c I can hear fans and restarting, but the screen does not light.  Help, please! From what I read it seems that it is a big problem with windows vista users!

    Hello

Since it is not initialize, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer for more help with this.

On the desktop, do a right click, graphics options, Rotation.

When you have done this, look in the Control panel, display, advanced settings for shortcut keys assigned to rotate the screen.  If you should never rotate the screen there is probably an installation to disable shortcuts.
