Problem starting satellite 2410

Hello

I have a satellite 2410 and I was using Windows XP Home Edition, and Linux. After the removal of Linux, I deleted the partition using Partition Magic and I think I should have deleted the Windows boot sector. I only have the 2 CD of restoration of todhiba came with the laptop and I'm not able to reach the repair utility that I read on the Internet. I can't start Windows by using a CD-ROM boot manager but I would definitely come back to normal without formatting (I did that 3 weeks!)

Thank you

Hello

Unfortunately, your laptop came with the Toshiba recovery disks and this means that you will not have access to the Microsoft Recovery Console, which is part of the Microsoft XP installation CD. Your real option is to restore your XP partition using the recovery discs.

However, if you can boot XP with a CD boot manager then you could try getting a "Ultimate Boot CD" Tróchez This contains various diagnostic and repair tools that may be able to help recover your MBR.

Regardless of the choice that I do, XP starts to run, then I get a blue screen flashes briefly (too fast to be able to read what whatsoever) and the process begins again.

I can access the BIOS and were able to boot from a CD.
Thank you anyone give me some guidance as to the possible problem (as well as a possible solution that could avoid having to completely restore the system and... to reinstall all apps)

    Hello

Seems the BSOD appears and the laptop operating system cannot start as should!
The BSOD appears especially because of the hardware or software serious malfunction.
First we need to find if its hardware or software related problem.

Installation simply from the recovery CD is a simpler way to find out what could be wrong
You must format the first partition C, where the old operating system has been installed and install the new OS on the C.

  • Problem starting Satellite M70-173

I have a problem with my laptop, since uninstalling Norton Internet security, I had a program to freeze. The only way to stop it was to maintain the power key. Since then, when I turn the machine when starting the machine to start and after about 1 sec no activity. I don't get the start-up of the screen. If I leave the laptop for several hours I can start and after a short period the computer freezes once more and I can't restart. I noticed several people reporting this kind of problem but cannot find any solution. Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

I really wonder what problems people have with laptops. I have Satellite M70-159 over one year and never noticed anything like that.

Operating system is installed with recovery DVDs and the first thing I do after recovering is to remove Norton antivir application. Trust me I did it more than 10 times and never noticed any a? freezinga? questions. I don't know what you're doing, but if I remember well, there are two entries for Norton in Add/Remove programs.

At first remove a? UpdateA Norton Live? and later Norton app itself. Overview you will find under http://support.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB6B01NM000ER01.htm

I don't know where you have founded a? several people reporting this kind of problem? but I can say for sure, it may not happen because of Norton. There must be something else. Maybe you deleted some other tips and startup procedure cannot be done correctly. It's really not easy to say what the problem is here.

I recommend you to install OS using recovery delivered DVDs. When finished remove Norton as described in the document of Toshiba. I hope that everything will be OK again.

    Good luck!

  • Problems starting satellite L350D-206

    Hello!

I bought this laptop about 6 months ago and until recently, it has worked quite well...
Unfortunately a week ago it stopped by itself for no apparent reason (the event was not blocked, as a matter of fact, the laptop was not yet hot and the battery was going well according to the LED) and since then it just won't start. The screen remains black, external monitors as well, it seems not to be able to communicate with the hard drive at all (the LED shows no signs of activity).

Has anyone else had similar problems and could advise me on what to do?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi George,.

Normally by pressing ESC when starting poster system BIOS load progress. You can try pressing and tenuous F2 which normally brings you to the CONFIGURATION of the BIOS screen and hold F12 that will take you to the SELECTION of BOOT menu, F8 will bring you to the boot option screen where you can select mode without FAILURE etc.

Try to press F12 when the Toshiba start screen appears and see if you get the boot selection menu.

  • Satellite 2410-504 does not start after you remove RAM module

    Hello

    I need assistance or advice.

I have a portable Satellite 2410-504 and I was looking for to increase the memory, I am a Novice with computers, I decided to remove the Module that is already in place (to see if I was capable of employment)

After removing and then returning the Module, then I went to turn on the laptop and Yes you guessed it, NOTHING!
The power lights are on and the light comes on but the screen is blank and there are no hard disk activity.

Now, trying to get back on my actions, I have been unable to completely remove the battery but I'm sure that he slipped on the connectors.
Could I have caused permanent damage or are my actions retreivable.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mike-c

    Hello

Did you check if the RAM has been inserted correctly?
    Select this check box.
But of course, the RAM could be damage due to wrong treatment nothing is impossible
My computer laptop didn t start because one of the RAM died suddenly.

What you could do is to remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
Then you have to wait a little (one hour) and need to connect the two parts again.
Then try turning on the laptop computer.

  • Support of Satellite 2410 - 504 USB start?

I have a very old Toshiba Satellite 2410-504, who came out and bought in 2001/02.

Am curious to know if anyone knows it is possible to start USB in the present?
I have the USB stick, but cannot boot from it.

Perhaps, it only supports USB 2.0 etc.
    Am not sure.

    It's very old laptop model

From my experience this old notebook series couldn't boot from a USB flash memory.
Some of the series supported the start player USB FFD (it s a reader who took in charge of the diskette.) Maybe you remember ;-))

However, I'm quite sure that the BIOS does not support the boot from USB flash memory stick

  • Satellite 2410-504 does not start

    Hi all

I have a laptop toshiba Satellite 2410-504 sick.

When to start he says: -.

"Windows was not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \system32\ntoskrnl.exe.
Please reinstall a copy of the above file. »

Ive put the Windows CD in the CD player and I went into the BIOS and select CD-ROM as the first priority but it fails to boot from the CD and everything continues (which is) at the start of the HD.

When I changed the priority of WOOD he came with a

PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of

So after reading this error message I have check the HD is installed and disabled net card in the BIOS but when even does not start and returns the error message as above.

Any other ideas? Is the broken HD?

  • Problem of recharging satellite 2410 404

    Hello

I have a big problem with my laptop Toshiba Satellite 2410 404.

Battery does not charge. The orange charge light is on, but windows does not say "supported". The State of the battery is 3%. Sometimes (rerely), it grows up to 5 or 6%. If I deconnect the power suply, the laptop turns off after 10-20 seconds. First I thougt it was a problem with the battery, so I changed it - the problem was still there. I also changed the load table (electronic load) but the problem is still there.

Can it be a problem with the CMOS battery? Because it is empty (If Li-ion battery isn't insinde, laptop loses date and time).

I updated the Bios to the latest version on the website of Thoshiba and I use PowerSaver...

    Someone has an idea?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi René,.

I suspect that the problem may be with your power adapter. Your CMOS battery is not the problem, since this normally recharge your power supply when connected to your laptop. The fact that your CMOS battery is also free of charge indicates that the poroblem lies with the load subsystem or the adapter itself.

Your incorporstes network adapter an electronic controller that adjusts the current goes to your laptop based on demand. I suspect it is insufficient current originally be available to use your laptop and recharge your batteries CMOS and laptop.

  • Problem of menu start satellite A210

    Help please

I have a laptop A210 running windows vista. Whenever I close my browser that my windows menu start page and icons all disappear, and all I'm left with is the wallpaper on my monitor.

Also when clicking on the control panel the same thing happens.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello Gerry

To be honest, I can't believe you have this problem on the first day. Am I right about that?
Nobody here knows anything about your system and preinstalled software. Maybe you have installed something and now your laptop does inexplicable things.
What you can do is to follow: I guess you know, in terms of cycle, when these problems started. Try please use the System Restore tool and roll back the BONES at that earlier time.

I really hope that you will be able to solve this problem on this way. In the opposite case. post again.

  • Satellite 2410-s205 does not supply power to the top

Hello everyone, I have a Toshiba Satellite 2410-s205 and it has installed windows xp home. It started to freeze and go slowly. Then I ran adaware and clean it. I installed spybot s & d and after update adware programs I tried to restart the computer and it froze. I shut it down using the power button, but now it does not restart.

When you press the power button, there is no fan activity, only on dvd rom light and goes back to the wide. Does anyone have an idea on what I can verify. Memory, Cpu, etc or what could be the problem.

The battery has a full charge, more I plugged it. The led does not illuminate when you press the power button.

    Thank you.
    Matrix733

    Hello

Well well, without testing the laptop it of not possible to give you an answer exactly.
It of needed to check the laptop only computer parts (memory, CPU).
But it's not easy to verify no additional experience.
In my opinion the best way is to contact the ASP. It of the best way to locate the fault.

    Hello

According to Microsoft Knowledge base article, the error message appears because when you change the Audio hardware acceleration affecting None this removes the device hardware acceleration of the list of possible devices. However, DSound continues to try to map to the device.

Windows cannot execute DPVSetup.exe, use Add/Remove Programs Control Panel to install.
