    I have HP's ENVY h8 PC bought two years ago. Last week, I tried to update my OS to Win10 - in any case - I made the backup of the downloaded and installed on USB recovery Image Win10. Don't like it, then

    because win 10 deleted the entry of the new filming, I use my USB key to back to Win 8. After some problems, I successfully restored my old BONES, but it does not recognize the partition of

    I mean, if I go to settings-> change the PC-> General settings-> delete everything and reinstal windows-> start-> Reset your PC-> next it says: cannot find the files needed

  • Satellite C670D-121 - problems with Win7 recovery

    I have a problem and I need your help.

    I have a laptop Satellite C670D-121 in the original hardware configuration.

    After a message on a process (my 10 year old son told me. "" But I have not seen this message), press the OK button and then the cell phone has rebooted. "
    But restarting didn't work no more.

    Also the recovery with the recoveryfunction of the laptop was not possible.
    Now, I ordered the UDF of recovery and the restoration of the laptop is possible.

    But in the moment where the UDF must be removed and the laptop should be repeated, I see the letters "Start window", the screen goes black and I can only see the cursor.

    After a short time, the cursor jumps into the upper left corner. And then comes the whith window an error message. (s. picture)

    I ordered a new UDF = the same error recovery!
    Support couldn't help me.
    Boot Linux from the CD, the laptop works very well.

    If a HARD disk error and memory can be excluded.

    Can someone help me please?
    Thank you.

    Hello
    I m not quite about this error message, but it seems that s associated with memory issue I/O (input / output).

    You mentioned a cursor blinking in the upper left corner.
    This symptom is already known to me. I had such a problem blinking cursor also and in my case it was related to abnormal or bad memory and HARD drive.
    I had to replace the HARD drive after all firstly by the modules of memory in order to solve this problem.

    From my point of few your question may be linked to the faulty memory because the I/O message is linked to problems of memory too.

    You said that Linux works properly using the Live CD?
    I guess you booted the laptop using this live cd but did not install the system on the HARD disk.
    Well, I don t think that this could be a clear proof that the RAM or HARD drive is OK.

    In my opinion, these parts must be checked

  • USB keys - problem with the Recovery Manager

    I bought a 16GB Kingston DataTraveler 112 USB key so I could copy the recovery as a backup image. He acknowledged the USB key and showed that the recovery image has been slightly more than 11 GB. But when he started to format the USB key, it returns to the previous screen and asking more of the car. At the bottom of the screen, he said to contact the HP Support, but it gives me an error message. Now when I try the Recovery Manager it does not recognize the USB at all.

    Before that, I had bought another 16 GB USB - don't remember what brand. I have 5 other USB drives, but they are all small, except a 32 GB Kingston DT101 G2 which does not work on this computer, even if it worked on my old computer (Pavilion w/Vista Home Premium) without problem. All these USBs, including the new Kingston are for USB 2.0.

    Operating system is Windows 8.1 64-bit on the desktop HP Pavilion 500 - A60. I tried the problem that USB keys in all 4 ports (2.0 and 3.0). Also in that I plug into a port to give me 3 USB ports, also used on my previous computer.

    Is it possible that this computer does not recognize Kingston or some other brands of USB thumb drives?

    The trick to this is to use a USB 2.0 port and use a non-windows 8 certified thumbdrive. If the USB flash drive shows as a 'removable device' there should be no problem in the use of the media to create a recovery media

    I had a lot of success with a 16 GB Transcend USB 3.0 flash drive.

    I own a couple of DataTraveler flash drives and had the same lack of success, creation of recovery media that you did. I have had zero success with 3.0 of Sandisk Extreme usb flash drives

    Hello

    In the past, you probably had old laptop models shipped without recovery disc option HARD and recovery facility old ghost. Now it works a little different.
    Here is my little explanation:

    > Is it possible to use the recovery disk, but to choose the partition that I want to be to install the operating system?
    N ° before installation of HARD drive recovery image will be erased completely and create new partitions (factory State).

    2nd edition
    It will not work. Installation of recovery work as installation DVD or HARD drive recovery procedure.

  • Pavilion g6-2306el: problems with the recovery DVD-R discs

    Hello, it's only now that I saw that the DVD + R is suggested for all recovery discs burning. A little too late for me, since I bought several DVD-R to produce my game. Here is what happened: each disk has been created with difficulty; the burning process failed on all the others try. But in the end, I finally got the DVD-R 4 program have been burned and verified correctly. Now, when I tried to insert each disk to make sure that the laptop was able to read properly (the content supposed to be confirmed, after all), to my horror, I realized the first two discs were not being recognized. However, my patience was rewarded when, after a long time, suddenly, an Explorer window showing the contents of the disc. Taking advantage of the situation, I immediately copied this content in a folder on the desktop. It took me a long time to do this process for the content of the first two discs that had recognized problems. Subsequently I also copied the contents of the discs 3 and 4, which was much faster. Now, I have four folders with the corresponding content of the recovery disks in the office. The question is: can I use these content and burn on DVD + R this time, in order to have a working set of recovery disks? Thank you very much.

    Hi @anthony_s

    Thank you for your query.

    I understand that you have created your recovery on the wrong type of DVD disc and does not work.  You have copied the contents of folders on the desktop you and want to know if you can now create new recovery DVD on the appropriate type of files.

    No, it will not work.  I suggest that you contact HP support and inform about events and inquire about obtaining a recovery kit.

  • Problem with break / recovery...

    Hello! I have a big problem. I have hust made a flash banér but I would like to know how do pause the video when the user move a cursor of the mouse on banér and resume when he remove him. It is a command in adobe flash CS 5 but he need to playback flv. It's an easy way to do this? I'll be grateful to give me advice...

    Place a movieclip above your flvplayback component, set its alpha to 0 and assign the instance name to btn.  If the name of your flvplayback component instance is flv, you can use:

    {btn.onRollOver = function ()}
    FLV.pause ();

    }

    {btn.onRollOut = function ()}

    FLV. Play();

    }

    I recommend you to buy a separate USB memory key and to create the eventual recovery USB flash memory support.
