Problem with the Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burning software

I replaced the DVD drive.  After that when I try to open Easy CD * software burning DVD in my computer appears a message as follows "all your drives are set to disabled.  On this operating system, in order to start easy CD & DVBD burning house you have to physically remove your disks or activate at least one of them".  I checked the DVD drive in Device Manager and it says it's working properly.  I can listen to music and watch video DVDs on the DVD player.  The software stops to this message.

Since the optical drive is working properly, but not detected / issues only in the Roxio software, please contact Roxio support for assistance.

  • Pavilion Elite HPE-170 t: problem with the new HP DH16D5S DVD ROM drive

My office is a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-170 t.  I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10.  I have two HP optical dirives, one is a writer, and the other is just a DVD ROM  Both have always worked perfectly with Windows 7.  After you have installed Windows 10 continuous burner work very well works correctly with autoplay.  However, the DVD - ROM, HP DH16D5S, immediately began using autoplay.  Actually the drive was not yet recognized as a drive when you view the drives in the file Explorer.  Finally, it would seem, sometimes taking also longer than 5 minutes or more before doing so and then would work very well.  I tried different types of media, including music CD, DVD video and DVD software with the same results.  I assumed that it was a problem with the drive, maybe a bad capacitor, etc., which was originally not start correctly.  So I ordered a new DH160D5S, but which seems to have been a waste of time and money, because it does exactly the same thing as the original.  I even changed the cables autour between it and the burner, but it made no difference.  The burner still works fine but not DVD ROM.  I tried to find a more recent driver for it, but had no chance.  I found on a Dell website for this drive which was an update of the firmware for Windows Vista and Windows 7, but not for Windows 10.  I advanced and downloaded, but when I tried to run, I got the message: "your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update.  Update has been canceled. »

I want to try a different brand of DVD ROM, but would have to buy one without knowing if it would help.

    Any help will be appreciated.

Since I posted this message I discovered that there is a driver problem with this DVD ROM.  There's no driver available yet to make the drive compatible with Windows 10.  Since then, I returned the drive and replaced by another brand that is compatible with Windows 10.

  • problem with the program downloaded to dvd on computer camera

I recently got a new digital camera and I am trying to download the program from cd/dvd on computer.  When the disc is inserted, it does nothing.  In the manual it states that it is compatible with vista.  I don't know why this is happening.

Try to go to start / computer and right-click on the CD-ROM drive and click on explore.  Find a program called setup.exe or install.exe and double click it to start the installation.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Problems with the reader of CD/DVD on the Satellite A350-12j

    Hello

I just bought my laptop, Toshiba Satellite A350-12j, two weeks ago and am generally happy with it, but I can't seem to read correctly the data DVD.

When I try to play a DVD that I burned on my data desktop PC, the laptop starts to read, but takes very, very long time.
When I try to copy the data on the DVD of my laptop, it takes forever (I tried once for 45 minutes and then abandoned) and after a while it starts to claim it can read most of the files on the DVD.
It is not the data on the disks which raises problems, cause when I transfer those my desktop to my laptop computer on a Flash DRIVE instead of a DVD, files are copied immediately without problem.

At first I thought it could be due to the DVDs themselves (I use TDK DVD + ROM), or perhaps that Vista was the culprit, but I tried the same exact discs on my friends laptop Medion also running Vista and it is having no problem whatsoever.

Anyone have any ideas what could be the cause, or better yet, which could solve it?

    Thanks in advance!

    Eva

    > When I try to play a DVD that I burned on my data desktop PC, the laptop starts to read, but takes very, very long time.

Hmm I think this could be a problem of DVD not entirely compatible.
My laptop drive s couldn t read or write DVDs from different manufacturers.
I tested a lot of disks and now I m using TDK DVD-R.

But it of always different. Maybe your drive would not support this disc correctly, but another disk would be better supported

I think you should test it simply. There are many manufacturers different drive don t give up buddy

  • Satellite A135 - problem with the CD/DVD burner

    Hey guys,.
A few days ago as nearly a week ago I had burned an audio CD for myself and it worked perfectly. Today when I tried to burn an image on my DVD, disaster. I use two software. IMGBURN & NERO. Unfortunately both failed me. What is happening is that the burning process starts normally, it shows that the buffering and burning taking place as well as caching of files. "Finally, it shows the burning process has been a success, but when it comes to verification, the drive appears saying: data verification failed - too many errors (Nero) and for IMGBURN it says ' they layouts do not match. When I reinsert the DVD, it shows that it is completely empty. Although both claim that the fire was successful. Later, I tried to burn a data dvd, still no luck, engraving, he shows successfully but verification fails and reinsert is empty.

    My laptop is: Satellite A135
    CD/DVDROM: TSST CORP TS-L632D ATA
    OS: Windows

the default windows was vista when I bought it.

    Hello

If you can't burn DVDs, then you should check first if it is a software problem based question or related equipment.

I've been reading about the reader of CD/DVD burning questions and as many times the registry has been corrupted.
Means that you was able to burn the DVD after you remove the upper and lower filters in the registry. Google for it and you'll find many pages.

Is there a problem of CD/DVD drive, then you should find a good update on the page of European Toshiba driver in your laptop. If there is no update firmware, then it means that this firmware is ok and it s not necessary to date.

Last but not Lea not all CD/DVD drive are compatible with all drives (CD and DVD).
Why? Because the different CD and DVD manufacturers produce own using different standards. In this case, it may be possible that not all discs will be properly treated

I had the same problem but might solve this problem by using TDK R CD or DVD

can someone tell me what is happening.

On this path, it is not easy to say anything. Try to remove the drive from Device Manager, and then restart the device. The unit should be recognized and installed correctly.

If you want to create data CDs using windows options please check disc recording option. Check the properties of the drive and check option under the recording tab.

  • I can't play DVDs in Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 7 Pro and get this error msg: Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD drive decoder and video card protection.

Hello, thanks for reading and helping me.

I try to play a legitimate, belonging to DVD, but Windows Media Player 12 will not play on my computer Windows 7 Professional.  The DVD worked a few days ago, but all of a sudden, I get the following error message:

"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD player and the video card protection decoder. Try to install a driver available for your video card.

I did a lot of research of these forums and on the ' net.  Here are the suggested steps I tried without success:

    • I tried VLC player.  This works.  However, rather than use this workaround, I wish to find a solution to my problem WMP/WMC.
    • I tried several DVD for years over the last decade.  These DVD works on my laptop, also running Windows 7 Professional and the shark 007 codec.
    • I uninstalled my Shark 007 codec
    • I tried other codecs (K-Lite)
    • I assured that the latest drivers are installed on my video card, XFX ATI Radeon 5850
    • I tried to uninstall Nero 9
    • I tried to use the Windows 7 troubleshooting options:
    • > Reading and burning CD, DVD and Blu - ray (no problem)
    • > Windows Media Player DVD (no problem)
    • > Windows Media Player Settings (detects a problem, wants to restore factory settings, every time, no matter what happens)
    • A system restore to a time when the DVD was working did not resolve the issue
    • The different links in Microsoft, I found in this forum about this problem do not seem to be useful.  There is a link that points to the set-top boxes, but this page just says: "Windows 7 comes with a decoder.
    • I assured the latest driver is available by going to "Device Manager", right click on the drive, then click on "update driver software".
    • I assured that the latest firmware is installed directly from the manufacturer's website.
    • I tried to reset my DRM by renaming the DRM under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows folder and by going to this Web site to upgrade:http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp?force=1
    • I've uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Media Player 12 and Windows Media Center via the function "functionality in Windows.

I would be very grateful if a Microsoft technology could chime.  Thanks for your help!

I have a G42-415DX laptop and I can not read cd/DVD, it was working fine 3 weeks ago and now nothing / I tried the support assistant and he could not solve the problem.  I got a message saying the driver must be reinstalled, how do I reinstall the driver?

    Hello

If you do not get the chance to use another PC, I would definitely create the CD and the DVD bootable as it would give a clear indication if there is a hardware problem with the optical drive.

In the meantime, try following the procedure in the title of the subheading "Let me fix it myself" on the link below to remove upper and lower filters (if these registry keys exist) and see if that helps the issue.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/982116

If find you the following registry keys and delete them, restart the laptop before checking the disc.

    Kind regards

  • My laptop is windows 7 and with most of DVD it says that there is a problem with the digital copy. I'm also having trouble changing the region

the exact message is: "windows media player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD drive decoder and video card protection. Try to install a driver available for your video card. When I click close it comes with this another message saying that my DVD system is set to the region one and I need to change it to region 2. I have change for the region, but he said: "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because the disc prohibits playback in your region of the world. You must obtain a disc that is intended for your geographic region. ». I don't know what to do.

There is a chance that the free VLC Media Player
would be to read your DVD without changing the region code.

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)
