I have a problem with vsphere 4.

Today, I have to change the ip of the host 3 addreeses and a virtual Center.

I do these things with your help like that, connect on VC disconnect all hosts and remove.

Vcenter stopover services change beginning vcenter intellectual property services.

Change the Ip addresses of the hosts, but now I get this error when I try to connect to the host to vcenter.

Unable to connect ha agent on this host,.

Please help me because Icannot create the cluster now, I don't know why

Make sure your vCenter and all ESXs records are updated in your DNS infrastructure (or files hosts...).

    I went through the debugging file, found the command that failed and I tried to run it manually. The command is the/opt/vmware/share/build/database. When I run this command manually, it fails with the same error.

    I also noticed that all the other/opt/vmware/share/database, iso and other command also fails. Omitting all do for the URL.

    May we make a suggestion as to the cause of this problem?  This problem could be related to a security on the network, the apache setting or the machine?

    Hi, I also had a problem with 2.6 and get the mentioned error (22, ' the URL reqested returned the error: 401') when you create a virtual CentOS machine. In my case, I found that my problem was caused by the stripping of command/opt/vmware/share/build/datastore on the "------" to my domain\userid. I could see what happens when I ran the/opt/vmware/share/build/datastore command with the option - debug. After figure this out, I removed the prefix field of my build settings tab in the profile of my Studio and worked to build.

    A slight concern is the number of sessions of vCenter used by the build process, as during my test that it was more than 40 years. It seems as if some commands can connect to vCenter but not outside. Also I was wondering if the screenshot feature could be the cause as seems to work ~ 4 times per minute?

    What kind of BONE is the source and partitions machine how much is there?  Partitions that has loaded Windows OS.  I assumed that you have a Windows XP machine with 2 partitions C:\windows and E:\boot so, how does it work if when windows boot?  I don't know on the partition of E:\boot, but if you try the P2V Assistant and only select C:\ drive and it will be fine since its your partition systems and start there, too.  Please specify details.

    Have you tried using the same account and pw you used to connect to the computer? Or at least the account which was used for the connection when installing VMWare... One of those (if different) should work.

  • Problem with VMWare Workstation combo, .vhd virtual drives and physical disks in the sector of size 4K?

    All,

    I suspect something wrong with some of my virtual machines.  I have been using these virtual machines for a while, and I see some weird behaviour recently.

    I see a lot of corruption in the virtual hard disk (.vhd based).  CHKDSK automatically gets performed many large files such as Oracle datafiles get damaged etc...  It all seems quite random and inconsistent, but I am using .vhd virtual machines in VMWare Workstation for years without problem.  This problem is new, and hard drives are basically unstable.

    I * think * (and I'm totally off base) that is perhaps the issue with my new external hard drives.  These discs have a 4 KB sector size, without e512.  Thanks to this architecture of hard drive, don't mount not the tools of Microsoft or manupulate .vhd files on these disks.  The questions seem to go away if I switch to vmdk or switch to the physical hard disk size-one-sector 512kb.  Because errors are not compliant, that I don't really have a way to document/prove that is the case, but it seems to be.

    I use version 9.0.0 on Windows 7 Workstation, and the guest is Windows Server 2008R2.

    My question is:

    (1) what meaning?

    (2) how I prove/document, since it is a contradiction?

    (3) is this a known problem?

    (Btw, switching HDD's vmdk is not an option in our case due to an obscure legal agreement with Microsoft.  I have to distribute my VMs in vhd format, even if they are designed to run on VMWare...)

    According to the political support for the 4 K sector hard drives in Windows, Windows 7 does not support the native 4 K (logical 4 k sector size) but it does not support Advanced Format or 512th (size of logical sector physical and 512 bytes of 4 K) and that is can be the question.

    Can someone help me please?

    I have two questions, but here's the background. I run a virtual machine using VM Player with Enterprise Server 2008 x 64 as my OS and Windows 7 on the client system. The version of the player that I use is the 3.0.1 and am not able to upgrade to a newer version that the virtual machines created on the new version won't be compatible with the rest on 3.0.1.

    Question 1: I get the following error message:

    "Could not get the driver vmci version: the handle is invalid.".

    You have an incorrect version of the driver 'vmci.sys '. Try reinstalling VMware Player.

    Power DevicePowerOn module has failed. »

    I uninstalled the software and reinstalled again, download the software from vmware download sit and still get the same error message. I also entered in the configuration of the .vm file and changed the settings vmciio:present from true to false. Should I do this?

    Question 2: Now the virtual machine is not recognizing the CDROM. I tried to use the real player allocated on the client system and also let the virtual machine automatically select, the two ways fail. I looked through other forums that show screen shots of how to fix this problem, unfortunately the screen with what I presented is different from that in demonstration.

    Any help would be fantastic, thank you.

    I don't know, but what you can try is to:

    1st edition.) Can you confirm you changed the setting vmci0.present = 'false' with the virtual machine properly closed - not suspended - and VMware Player closed.

    2nd edition.) In settings of the virtual machine CD-ROM, click on the button "Advanced...". "and enable"Legacy Emulation"see if that helps.

    If the above does not help, please report (attached) file vmware.log of the virtual machine to a response message.

    I installed the test version of "Workstation" and installed a windows 7 x 86 non-virtual DVD drive mapped, which is mounted on D:\.

    Subsequently, I installed all Windowsupdates and after that I tried to install the VMWare Tools.

    But every time I get the message that I should look on the 'virtual' drive on D:\.

    But there is no virtual drive, it is my DVD of the hostsystem.

    Is there a way to mount a virtual drive with tools or install them in another way?

    Hello

    You can directly install the VMware tool configuration by copying the setting in the machine and manually install the same.

    Try VMware on another machine tool in which you will get the installation... Copies on disk and then move it to your new VM and do a manual configuration.

    It may not by the availability of vSphere manual.  However the global VMware partner who sold me on VMware solution said that the shared storage is not required for HA.

    This is the same guy who told me that I would not need to buy Windows Server licenses because everything was included in the package (vSphere Essentials Plus).  Now, I have no Windows license, no shared storage and a customer who will not be happy that we did not include these costs in the citation for this project.

    Maybe your partner speak the vCenter Server Appliance that is included on vSphere Essentials Plus and you can use this device to manage your vSphere, ESXi without need a VM of Windows (with Windows license) to install the vCenter server.

  • Major problems with VMWare Fusion 3.1.1

    I just installed the new version of VMWare Fusion 3.1.1 on my MacBook Pro (OS 10.5.8). What a DISASTER!     Before running the installation, follow these steps:

    (1) start your virtual machine and remove tools from VMWare using Add / Remove programs.

    (2) to the VMWare Fusion 3.1.1 DMG run the program uninstall to remove VMWare Fusion. This will NOT delete your virtual machines.

    (3) restart your machine.

    (4) install VMWare Fusion 3.1.0

    (5) start your virtual machine and install the VMWare tools.

  • Problems with VMware virtual Center 2.5.0 and ESX 3.5.0 123630

    I lost connection to my SAN over the weekend and restarted my entire stack. Everything came to life, except a host server ESX is grayed out and shows disconnected my cluster of Virtual Center. If I right click on the host, everything is gray except 'Add alarm, add Permission, summary report and Performance report'.  I was able to connect directly to the host and was able to start the VM on the host machines, but my question is how to run in my cluster Virtual Center? I have no option to remove or connect.

    ... also, you can restart pass and/or management agents vCenter on the host in question to the service console

  • Strange problem with VMware

    Hi all

    I was wondering if anyone has had problems to connect to an ESXi 4.1 or 4.1 installed on the B200, B250 and B230, B440 U1 blades.  My UCS is running 1.4.3(q).

    At this point, we can very well ping on the host and the host can ping fine.  However, when we connect via vSphere, http, https or ssh to the ESXi host, it fails.

    Has anyone seen this before?
