• Download problems and Adobe Camera RAW update

  I'm at the end of my rope here. I tried to download and update my Adobe Camera RAW software, so it can read the RAW of Nikon D750 files but the download of this has been a nightmare.

  I have Photoshop CC 2014 running on a ZBook 15 HP with Windows 7 Professional. I recently downloaded Camera Raw 8.7.311. I have not installed the DNG Converter. I shoot in raw in my Nikon D750. I have download the NAVE images for my HP laptop using a memory card reader. I installed creative cloud bridge. When I check in Photoshop CC 2014, it says that the Camera Raw plugin 8.7.1.311 is present. But if I try to open a picture from the NAVE, it fails and says it is an unsupported file type. When I'm in Bridge, the option 'Open using Camera Raw' is faded and cannot be selected. Then what should I do? TIA, Rob

  Success! My problem is I had the old version of the Nikon software on my computer and I used to upload photos. I copied the NEF files directly from my memory card reader and then could not open no problem in Photoshop CC 2014. Thanks to gener7 and everyone who made suggestions.

  The D750 requires camera 8.7 crude which is not compatible with PSE 12 so it cannot be updated.

  You must either buy 13 PSE or use the converter DNG as suggested above. If you buy PSE 13, once you have it installed, you can go to the Help menu, and then select the updates to install the last Camera Raw.

  Reinstall Photoshop fixes this problem. I guess I just met a bug on the last update. After full reinstalled everything is up-to-date and the Camera Raw filter works correctly.

  I get slowdowns in the multiple category of seconds, sometimes with as little as a picture, but still with 10 or more. For example, to load 10 raw files from nikon d800, start going to the bottom of the line setting WB, shadow, highlight, black, etc., and by the 3rd picture, I guarantee that you will be having to wait one or two seconds before you see your adjustments redesign on the main image.   First I thought that this is a problem of image, but all images are perfect size. I tried 2 Cameras Nikon D800 and Hassel d3d even, 3 CF cards, 2 card readers. The same result. The strange thing is I can open raw files of d800 with Faststone image viewer, and they look perfectly fine. Any ideas?
