Problems burner Blu - Ray (HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW GGC-H20L)

I'm REALLY frustrated!

My Pavilion d4999t-2 came with a disk drive BluRay & lightscribe (HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW GGC-H20L) I've used for the past two years... then 2 weeks ago the laser that burns CD - R & grilled LightScribe.  Fortunately (I thought), I got the extended warranty, so I contacted Hp.

After going through the troubleshooting steps, I convinced that the CD-R/LightScribe laser has been burned, and he sent me a replacement (#1).

When I installed the replacement drive, everything works perfectly, except it would not write BD - R (recordable BluRay) discs.  He would not even acknowledge that a BD - R was even inserted in the drive.

Thus, after several "Troubleshooting" with assistance from Hp, they shipped another replacement (#2).  When I installed it, it could read AS CD & CD - R discs only!  He doesn't even have any disc BluRay or DVD was even inserted in the drive.

Troubleshooting more (during which, according to their instructions, I lost all access to the command) and they ship me another replacement (#3).  This is the same as the first.... It can read/write CD and DVD and it will read a BluRay disc, but it does not recognize BD - R disc when inserted!

After 2 weeks and 3-disc replacement, I am not officially frustrated!

Of course, that are given to nine drives (the 'new' date I received is in Nov 2007), it seems that one who is to repair those disks does not a very good job!

Has anyone else had similar problems with BluRay burner or get a replacement from Hp work?

Mystery is solved

It turned out that hp had the incorrect part description in their catalog of replacement

All this time, they were send me Blu - Ray, not engravers READERS!

After spending a few hours with a technician (Arkansas fortunately - I don't have to deal with an Indian accent most read a script), she shot to the top of my original and verified system control the original drive.  After comparison with the disc I had received, she found the error and put in a change order to get the fixed catalog.  I hope that nobody else will have to go through the problems that I had.

Now a happy camper again

Today, I tried to burn a blu - ray disc, and he returned with can't read media, which stood on imgBurn. So I tried the same thing on the burner systems, and she came back as no drive in the status bar. I have also tried burning CyberLink software and the same thing no disc.

I then tried to play the two store bought and home made blu - ray disc and could not read media. I was ready to blame it on a bad burner but then I tried a regular DVD the two store bought and done House, and it plays very well. I then tried to burn a single dvd double layer with all the burning software three I have and it is still fine, no problem. It's just the blu - ray media that cannot be read or written. The only supports blu - ray, I used from the first day was Kodak and never had a problem. That's what baffles me.

At this point, I don't know if it's a hardware or software problem with the computer or burner blu - ray or both. 3 different burning programs works fine on DVD but not blu - ray, DVD plays fine but can't play or burn blu - ray discs.

  • Qosmio F60 - error when burning Blu - ray discs

    I have a Qosmio F60

Recently, I tried to burn my data on BD - R 25 gb disc. Aftre burn about 6 GB of data, it stopped burning with unexplained error. I tried another disc with the same problem. This time the suggested message updated firmware. This is MY * A BD - MLT uj240ES blue ray player. I am unable to find any updated firmware update. Current firmware is version 1.10.

Can someone help me on this

    Hey,.

If a firmware update is available, you can find it on the official website of Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

If this isn't the case, you already have the latest version of the firmware.

In your case, I recommend to test different brands of blu - ray discs. I have good experiences with Verbatim and TDK discs.
    Check this box!

By the way: I prefer a backup of the data on an external HARD drive. It of safer and easier! ;)

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s5623w - try to find a burner blu ray with hook in case of ejection

I want to upgrade my optical drive to a blu ray burner and the problem is that the 5.25 Bay is not visible on this model of hp. It is mounted vertically behind a grid and the actual eject disk button is not accessible. Is there a button on the case itself to open and close the drive that is controlled by a small wire connecting from the button on the case of a small port at the back of the current drive.

I looked through pictures of every single blu ray burner on the market and it seems that not a single one has this feature.

I'm not a perfectionist, but inconsistencies upset me and that just asking the question... Why this didn't think? I even checked real HP burners-blu ray thinking of course what they would think of this small but important feature... but no luck.

If someone knows any of this a blu ray burner please inform me! I just wouldn't be able to bear have a button that does not work and have to use myComputer to open the tray!

  • Been trying for a year to burn Blu - ray successfully, get the error code 3 As_error 97071

Error Code 3 As_error storage 97071 has losing me my mind. A year in an attempt to burn Bluray

[Duplicate message deleted... post the same question more than once is confusing... MOD]

[This is an open forum, not a direct line to Adobe support... you have to wait a response]

The pieces at the end of the 'Code 3' errors etc. BluRay can make all the difference. Yours is a "AS_storageerror" which is specified with a lot of different numbers. But there is no consistent fixes reported.

All of them seem to have physical storage, hard drive, or media-related questions. Keep in mind that, for Blu - ray, especially, still uses a huge amount of temporary storage. If under windows, make sure that you always use 'administrator' - it fixes many problems. If Mac, make sure that all temporary storage have read/write permissions.

In your case, google the following with punctuation as it is:

    still + 'storage_error =-97071.

There are underscore between 'storage' and 'error' and a sign less in front of the number.

This will help to focus on threads on your particular error.

Research of recall found no anything, although there are nets with your variation of the error.

  • Error 'Could not create ac3' when burning Blu - ray

I spent the last week, a reader Blu - ray in Encore CS5 design.  Combustion, they gave me the error message "Cannot create"_sessionfiles_Dsf_session_1_audio.ac3", and the burn failed (after going to seven hours).  I don't really know even where to start with this.  The Blu - ray is about 80% of the full (20 GB) and includes several chronologies and several menus (including audio).  No pop ups.  It should be a fairly simple project.  However, it gave me problems after the problem and has taken far too long.  Can anyone offer insight before I spend another week chasing the problem?  Thank you.

    Congratulations and condolences then!

Either the burn was bad (the inability to check), in which case a reburn could fix, or you have a navigation problem, in which case you will need to fix this.

You can navigate through the menu of the specific aspects? The action of the end of the scenario for the main movie is clearly defined in the menu special functions? In preview, but still on the main timeline, click the icon for "end action"; that works correctly?

You can also try to play the image, and see if it behaves correctly (again showing a bad burn). The problem with this is that a) have you usually mount the image and b) some software players emulate correctly and a failure doesn't mean much. But if it plays properly, it indicates a bad burn.

What third-party burning software has failed?

  • Still ignores recent changes created when burning Blu - Ray

    Hi everyone-

When I change the detailed underlying film Premiere project file pieces, I take care of to save.

At the opening, still, I'm going to project window (top left label) then highlight the relevant first project File.pproj, and then click on revert to the Original.

When I burn a DVD, yet many transcoding etc perhaps spending an hour on this (an hour on DVD hardware) before starting to write.  So, he burns the latest version of the Premiere project file.

BUT when I burn a Blu - Ray disc, still seems to "remember" the previous version of the project file underlying first, doesn't bother to do many transcoding, etc. and after a maximum of 5 minutes he began to write the disc - which then the precedent not the latest version of the first underlying project file.

(Either by the way, I'm in CS5 and Windows 7 and did not have problems of major software so far.)

I understand that if I start a new project from scratch, it will be important to the latest version of the Premiere project file and I did it with success on another project where the menu is so simple to recreate it is not a problem.

However, on THIS project, I have a complicated menu, giving access to a long (with a submenu preselection of stage) and three film projects short first and so begin a new reminder of the project file and build a whole new menu with scene selections would be a lot of hassle, that I would rather.  Simply copy the project still would probably just in me the problem of the copy.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thank you very much

    Jan

To make comic books, you must change the project type to BD. the build type, Yes?

When you see in the comic book the type of transcode is transcoded, it means that you have not restored. Change the type of project in BD, then return to this asset.

  • Audio popping after burning blu - ray in 5.1

Just as a warning, I'm relatively new to Adobe Premiere and I'm under first Elements 8 on a Sony Vaio with a processor of Intel Core i5 - 580 M, GPU ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650, 8 GB DDR3 - SDRAM - 1066 and Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit.

I'm trying to create discs blu - ray full HD and 5.1 surround sound. Video source is full HD 1920 x 1080 with. Extension M2TS. When I have Adobe Premiere Elements 8 check the properties for my videos, it says the audio format of the source is "48, 000Hz - compressed - 6 channels" and the audio format of the project is '48, 000Hz - 32 bit floating point - 6 channels. This is despite the fact that the source is 5.1. However what edition of videos "5.1" appears next to the audio 1 on the timeline. I read something on this issue, and I guess that it is not the cause of any audio bad after an engraving of blu - ray.

I create new projects using these settings:

    NTSC-AVCHD-Full HD 1080i 30 5.1 channels

After a few quick changes I burn a disc blu - ray with 1920x1080i THAT NTSC Dolby H.264 preset. When checking of the combustion quality video looks great but audio has a distinct bursting or cracking sometimes that isn't in the file source at all. Someone has any ideas why a burn causes these audio imperfections appear? I've never had problems with burns from channel 2 and I'll probably just end up sticking with 2 audio channels, if a solution cannot be found. Note, the audio output is also much lower than the burned copy when read from the source file. This occurs even when the volume of the clip is set to the max of + 6.0dB. Thanks for any help.

First of all, the pre can't burn, or the share of the export/DD 5.1 SS Audio. PrPro even needs additional Minnetonka Audio SurCode 5.1 DD SS pluginto export this Audio stream. Pre can work with DD 5.1 SS in many project Presets, but will need mixer 2 channel for export, or to burn.

Now, when we make cuts on the Audio files and the ends upwards, and cuts do not run from "zero crossing", you can pop or big ticks. It's the lack of continuity in the Audio waveform - not at zero crossings. Usually, these reductions based on crossing zero setting will eliminate the POPs and clicks.

    Good luck

    Hunt

  • P900 and burner Blu - ray 45K 1675

I'm considering adding the Blu - ray burner 45K 1675 Lenovo to my P900 workstation. Lists compatibility for the burner, however, don't mention any of the P-series workstations. It should be standard optical SATA device, but just to make sure - is there a reason why it might not work/adjustment on the P900?

Site Web: Lenovo's mentions that the burner is delivered with burning/reading software. Could you confirm that it is still the case. Or is the software for download?

Edit: while I'm... Is there maybe a Lenovo slim Blu - ray burner option that would work in the adapter in the modular Bay, next to the MCR 29-in-1? There used to be a feature of Blu - ray slim SATA for ThinkPads, but I'm not quite sure it is compatible.

Yes, K 45, 1675 will work. Front bays are tool-free and will allow this player to drop in without anything else required except another SATA cable.

If you already have the modular Bay ODD/MCR, you can pick up a Blu - Ray drive ultra slim LG CU20N. This model has a short scope and must match instead of the original 9.5 mm ODD. ODD choice is important because some readers of 9.5 mm have dials senior and some short. There could be others that match, but the CU20N is used an OEM drive for a large number of sellers.

I'm not aware of a Lenovo 9.5 mm BDR that would work unless you are ready to use a portable device and swap the bevels. Most of the ThinkPad readers have custom dials and none of ThinkServers I know options BDR.

  • Burner Blu Ray for XPS 8700

I recently purchased an 8700 XPS.  It is equipped with a Blu Ray player driver, and I couldn't customize my to get a Blu Ray burner.  So now I'm ready to buy an internal Blu-Ray burner to add to my system.

I saw a Poineer unit that seems to be very high-spec - fast, with the latest features. The rate is $ 110 (USD).

Reference Dell has an offering that I should?

    Hi ColinM_Campbell,

Internal Blu - ray players that will fit in the 5.25 inch bays can be used with Dell XPS 8700. You try to call the team of spare parts for 18003723355 (US only) to check the options available for readers.

  • Problems with Blu Ray

I have files on my computer that are 1280 x 720 @ 29 FPS and I am trying to create a reader blu ray quality without loss for the past two weeks. After that I moved on the 29 1920x1080i layout to encode (target 22 Bit Rate, Max 30 sampling rate), the video jump images when I watch on my PS3. I lived at least 15 Blu Ray discs, trying to figure out how to get rid of the skip/delay frames to get a picture smooth and have not been able to understand.

I create the Blu - Ray in again and everything is going smoothly with that... I really need to know how to get the best quality. I tried all kinds of combinations of bit rate/codecs/etc... Help, please.

Very well. So I think I have discovered a problem. I was re-encoding M4V files and not the original MP4 to create the blu ray.

I coded @ 1920 x 1080 30 fps (MPEG Blu Ray, 30 target Bit, 35 Max) with the original MP4 file and the result was great when I played it on my PS3.
