Hello Leo,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you have problems with activation in Windows. Then, please follow the following suggestions to solve the problem.

First of all, try to activate Windows by phone and see if it works.

Get help from Microsoft Windows activation

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/950929/en-us

You must change the license to the windows and see if that helps.

one), click on Start, click on the Search box.

(b) type cmd.exe and selectRun as Administrator.

(c) in the command screen type prompt (it may take time for this will be complete, please be patient):

cscript slmgr.vbs - FLIR

(d) press the Enter key. And leave the command prompt screen.

(f) restart 2 times.

You can actually try to rename the token and see if that helps.

1) click on Start, click on the Search box.

(2) type cmd.exe and selectRun as Administrator.

(3) in the screen type invites the below commands one by one:

net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you're sure, select Yes)

CD %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing

Rename tokens.bar tokens.dat

CD %windir%\system32

net start slsvc

4) press the Enter key. And leave the command prompt screen.

I hope this helps. Otherwise, feel free to write us again for more assistance, and we will be happy to help you come.

Hi Uuf11, the printer software installation is recommended in safe mode. Safe mode is primarily used to resolve problems with Windows by only running the bulk of Windows operating systems and device drivers. Once the passage in secure mode, the user can execute commands and charge the devices one at a time. So in this mode the print spooler service is not started which is essential for the installation of the software.

As suggested steps to come to your question did not work, you can try the steps below:

Note: The printer must not be connected to the computer before beginning the installation.

    (1) perform a disk cleanup. Start ==> All Programs ==> Accessories ==> System ==> Disk Cleanup tools

    (2) right click on the software driver that you downloaded and select "Run as" or "Run as Administrator". Enter the user name and password. This information is on your user profile on the computer.

Note: Make sure that the driver that you downloaded is supported for the OS you are using. If you have doubts redownload the file.

    If the error persists, then:

    1) click on the Windows icon in the bottom left of the screen of the computer and in the 'search' in a box type, %Temp% and press enter on the keyboard. This will open the Temp folder

    (2) open the last file 7z

    (3) double-click the file hpzsetup.exe

What version of XP you are running and what level of service pack?  This update shows that being for Windows XP Home Edition SP1.  If you do not run this configuration then you can look and see if the update shows that already installed and that it is just this again.  If this is the case, then watch this:

  • Activation for windows xp problem

I have purchase a windows xp home edition and it has been activated before sucssfully. After that some time the card mother of the machine were damaged. For this reason, I have to change the Cpu, but after that windows cannot activate in my new machine. Please tell me the solution.

First say you that the motherbard does not - as you did only changed the CPU - you also change the mothrboard?

What OS XP Home license type purchased? -Sale retail or OEM (OEM disc will have "to a facility in a new PC" integrated into the hologram)?

If OEM and you changed the motherboard, then you will defend your cause with the operator of Activation - that you need to communicate with in any case.

You must use telephone Activation - and when the ansafone asks what service you need do NOT respond. This should force the operator to pick up, which may solve your problem.

I have a laptop which uses WIndows 7 Home Premium x 64, but the hard drive had a lot of problems that caused me to need to reinstall windows.  I burned a disc using the filename of the picture from the Microsoft Web site and reinstalled windows, but my product key is an OEM, the key with no additional backup media and now Windows activation is not letting me to reinstall. The first characters in my key are invalid characters, according to activate windows, so I can't get to the stage where it gives me an option to call to the activation or obtain additional assistance.

  • Problems with Activation in Windows 8

    Hello

To avoid confusion, I will not leave many details of my situation, so that this message can get long. My apologies in advance for this, and all advice is welcome.

A long time ago when I bought a digital copy of Windows 8 shortly after its release I installed it on an old laptop (without recovery media came with it; I bought refurbished Toshiba with Windows 7 Home) and shortly after, the laptop is dead - a chip on its Board of directors - so not having not knowledge of licensing, I used his HARD drive in another, original Vista HP Slimline PC dying. Some time later, a screw has been abandoned on the pins of the Committee on recovery ROM, so I replaced the Board with an identical (Acacia M2N61-AR). Because what was I guess that came from the BIOS, the new Board of Directors would not accept the old HDD. I do fix by someone whom I don't know personally, which I doubt has all the certificates... anyway, once I come back the jury it starts fine, but the OS has been reset, with the watermark from Windows 8 at the bottom left of the desk, as it has always been. I don't know if it was something that nobody is (maybe something illegal?) but I can't activate windows when he asks, because he says that it cannot be activated at this time. I can also activate it via the phone (or any other method) via the activation ID and I bought a copy of Windows Professional 10 as a shortcut, but, of course, he wants another key because the key that comes with it is the same as my old key (I know this is probably how it is supposed to be, but he was initially asked me to buy a new Windows 8 key just to reactivate). Currently, I have removed the key via CMD Admin compatible as suggested in another post (for a completely different problem) and returned to its State at the trail version of the operating system and uses the tool of creation of media Windows 10 download Windows 10 for a second time.

I apologize if what anyone in this post isn't 100% clear because I myself made a little crazy trying to fix all these crazy catch-22. Thank you for your time. It means a lot to me right now and will be for the longevity of this PC, as I use it as a learning experience to supplement my knowledge in PC.

  • All in a 21: code of Activation for Windows 8.1

    Hello

I bought a HP All in One 21 around a year ago. It came with Windows 8.1, which took decent. I upgraded to 10 Windows some time ago and apparently unstable (as my driver wifi not working after an update).

Angered by instability, I wiped the entire drive and installed Ubuntu. Now, I want to share this computer with my father and I need to reinstall Windows again, but I have no installation disc or activation code.

Is - this there anyway I can get a genuine Windows running on my machine? I have received, purchase date, etc.

Best looks & thanks in advance

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum. Welcome!

HP computers equipped with Windows preinstalled (aka OEM Windows) have some recovery partitions that can be used for recovery of factory default state - example, they can wipe a few partitions and reinstall Windows which is preinstalled.

If you have Windows, it was possible to create a recovery media for the reinstallation of Windows. If it had not done before installing Ubuntu, you need a recovery media now.

    Your options are:

-1 - continue to use GNU/Linux > Ubuntu (or download Linux Mint) and give it to your dad. I don't know it will be great operating system like Linux -. Linux Mint www.linuxmint.com is based on Ubuntu, but is regarded as easier to use, a bit more stable and similar to Windows desktop experience.

-2 - contact HP support for recovery (DVD or USB pen drive) media. HP may send you a recovery media that can be used to reinstall Windows (e.g. Windows 8.1) and your computer will be returned to the State it was when buying - factory default.  More information:

  • problems with updates for Windows (for Win XP)

I have problems with Windows (for Win XP) updates...
    (1) I installed the hardware updates for my sound card (via Windows update) and now I can't hear the music through my speakers or headphones.  In addition, related to my sound card software do not work either!
    (2) at the same time, I tried to install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 through Windows Update and that would not install (.. .and I tried several times).

So to rememdy those issues, I tried for hours to use the system restore, but whenever I've tried I'm not able to successfully restore and I tried several unique restore points.
Any suggestions?  I spent hours on it, and nothing seems to help!
