Problems of family safety account deletion

I recently deleted my daughter of parental control account and when she tries to use it it said the account "is not ready" and that she did not have access.

We tried by following the links in the email that I received when I removed his account to 'update' his account settings, but as she cannot open a session, it does not help.
Any suggestions?

Hi FaithC,

We made some adjustments on the affected account. It should now be accessible by your daughter, please check that and inform us later.

Thank you.

  • Family safety account - stuck managed

In 2003-2004 my Microsoft account was handled through a first version of family safety product.  Some time later, the account was promoted to an adult account and is no longer managed by family safety products.  However, it seems to be a persistant problem with my account.  For example, I can't create a group on SkyDrive and get the error message "Windows Live Groups does not support family safety Managed Accounts.".  I am also unable to use options in SkyDrive to share files "share link".  I am also unable to see the options 'Invisible' or 'Available' when I click on my name at the top right of outlook.com.  Also, I don't see the little mail icon that appears directly on the left of the setting icon.

Here's what I linked to do to solve the problem:

    (1) I have tried other browsers and clear all caches

    (2) that I created a new account to confirm, it was isolated to my account, it is.

    (3) I installed the family safety and has visited the family safety Web site - I see no evidence that my account is managed through family safety.

I really don't want to switch to a different account of Microsoft because it is related to my xbox live gold account family (where I am the main account) and several other Microsoft services.

Anyway is not valid restrictions on my account?

  • Family Safety errors

    Hello

I am the Director of technology, a Florida Charter School.  Because of the incredible price, that we received on the MS Surface RT, we decided to provide all our students with this amazing tablet.

    We are having a few issues regarding the security settings for the family;

We currently have approximately 600 students enrolled with Surfaces, because it is a school and children like to do their minds wonder that should be obviously used Family Safety to make sure bad material were not available.  Until a few days ago, we had blocked manually a few pages we don't want students, because they found ways around it that we decided to change the web filter "Designed for children" as a last resort. We currently have about 8 Microsoft accounts that we use to manage all of the tablets (at the time you are only allowed to handle up to 80 aircraft by family safety account. Here is the problem we have:

There are about 15 sites total I need to allow students to access, when I allow these sites, they work very well, but I have to painstakingly block each tablet one at a time, as you can imagine change the filter on this laptop takes forever, especially since I need to connect to multiple accounts.  I understand that 'Parental control' has a feature that allows you to block/allow Web sites entered for "all children".  The question is, when I click allow/block I am presented with a message asking, "do you want to block or allow this site to all children? I click 'Yes, all children', but it does not work.  I get no error message and it seems that everything is fine, but the site is still blocked/unblocked.

We currently have approximately 80 devices per account.  I don't know if this will help, but I noticed that when I click on "Members of the family Link" at the top of the page, we get the following error: "the page you requested does not exist, has moved or is temporarily unavailable." We received this error for about 4 months now, however, we noted that a 2 of our accounts where we have less than 60 devices listed do not come up with this error.  I guess the problem is the amount of devices, we have per account.  If this is in fact the question I'm a little confused, as the amount of devices by Family Safety account is much more than what we have per account.

If I'm doing something wrong or if my information is incorrect please let me know, thank all help in advance.

    Thank you for your time,

    Mike

    Hello

    1. Surface devices are connected to the field?
    2. You can still access Hotmail or other Microsoft services?
    3. What browser do you use? The problem occurs when you use a different browser?
    4. What is the security status of the http://status.live.comfamily?

In the case you use Internet Explorer to reset the Internet Explorer settings on the computer with which you are trying to log in to the family safety website.

    Note:

Reset the Internet Explorer settings can reset security settings or privacy settings that you have added to the list of Trusted Sites. Reset the Internet Explorer settings can also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the reset Internet Explorer settings. Reset Internet Explorer is not reversible, and all the previous settings are lost after reset.

  • How do I create a Parent account to Windows Live family safety?

    Hello

I have a Windows Live account and I have created several others to implement parental controls of Windows, but I could not.  With all the accounts that I created, I continue to encounter one or two messages error with or the other account.  It is said that "this service is not available at this time" and other States that the account is not registered as a Parent.  I read the comments to discussion threads where advice is given on how to fix known issues associated with these error messages, and none of them work for me.  When I connect to Windows Live with an account, any account, they look alike, and it is never an option to add a child with the exception of the link subsumed under permissions.  When I click permissions and click to add an account, all that I see is the ability to add social media accounts in my Windows Live account.  I tried almost every permutation I can think to solve this problem.  Provide advice.  Thank you.

    Hi fsscayc,

Regarding your password problem, I will convey this to our Windows Live team as a feature request for a future version of the program. The team of the said values and recognizes the suggestions and feedback from users of the Windows Live products. You can also submit this page http://feedback.live.com/ and select "Windows Live Family Safety".

When you go to fss.live.com and it redirects you to the website "Live Essentials", this indicates that the account has not yet been defined in the client Windows Live Family Safety. You must connect to the customer first before you can access fss.live.com.

On the prompt "only an adult can connect as a Parent Family Safety. Ask an adult to log in.' it is possible that you tried to open a session with a Windows Live account does not have the required age of the customer sign of family security.

Let us know if you have followed all of questions about this.

    Thank you

  • Microsoft Family safety began just prevent Chrome GMail and Google Reader works on a child account - anyone know why?

I am running Windows 7 and use parental control for several years.  My kids use Google Chrome with GMail and GoogleDrive for a lot of their homework.  In recent days on the child accounts Chrome slow down considerably with the message "establish a secure connection" when it starts for centuries, and then finally "Gmail App is not available".  After trying everything else (cookies, compensation, disabling extensions, historical disconnect account) I turned off parental control of Microsoft, and Chrome came back to life.  I've now changed the security settings to "block adult sites" to "warn on adult sites" and Chrome works very well.  I'm not happy to leave this setting to warn but need to at the moment, so that they can do their homework.  Is this a Microsoft problem or is there anything else I can try to solve it?

  • I changed my real account name, now I can't sign in to Family Safety

I use Windows 7. I have a Windows Live account that I used to set up a parental control account. I changed the name of the Live account and now I can't connect to the account of the safety of the family, because he wants the old account name and won't let me change to the new account name. • Why can't I delete Windows Live Family Safety?

I used Windows Live Essentials 2011 Setup to remove Windows Live Family Safety, since it doesn't seem to work in Win8. However, if I type 'Family' on the start screen, it appears here. If I choose that, I get a dialog box indicating that there are compatibility problems. If I right-click and choose uninstall, need me "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and features" and it is not listed there. If I open the parental controls control panel, it still appears as one of the suppliers.

What should I do to get rid of him?

    Hi Rick,

Since you have problems uninstalling Windows Live Family Safety using the Control Panel, I suggest you uninstall the Windows Live Essentials together via the CMD line parameter and reinstall only applications required, please follow the steps in the link below:

How to uninstall Windows Live Essentials through the CMD line parameter

Download and reinstall through this link. This installer allows you to choose which programs you want to install, select the Windows Live programs wanted to and proceed with the installation.

  • Windows Live Family Safety - sorry, there was a problem signing you. Error code: 80048849

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium (OEM) on my laptop and I thought I'd give 'Cloud' a chance.

Everything seems to work fine except WLFS. When you try to sign in the filter, it gives me the error code 80048849. I joined windows live on the web. I put my parent account and created my accounts of children too. When I'm in the "Parental control" function via the web (Windows Live > all Services > Family Safety) doesn't even recognize that I have (WLFS) installed. It says at the bottom of the service of FS 'Computers' page (but none are displayed, I 3). He also says "job settings parental control only on computers that have integrated security family filters. Install the family safety. "

I go to the part of uninstall and reinstall. I don't think it will change anything because I tried it on my desktop as well. I SCREW Suite installed on this pc as well so I'll try to install while security is disabled.
