  I am using captivate to create e-learning courses for my client. The course was in PPT and slides have been imported into captivate. The process was smooth until the customer asked me to change the size of the canvas. The course includes images as well as on the slides.

  1. I can chamge the size of the canvas of 1024 * 768 and 1280 * 800 in the same file? If so, how?

  2. I tried another way of doing this thing. I created the canvas with 1280 * 800 itself. Then, I went back to the old captivate file and copied all the slides and paste it into the new file. But the blades with images have problem (eg. alignment issues produced.). Is it possible to modify these images here himself in captivate so that I can move with arrow keys and mouse to solve the problems of alignment?

  Background: I import slides from a .pptx file. Once the slide is created inside Captivate, I want to change the text in the slide, but I can't. It became part of the background. So, I'm left with two options: 1) open the .pptx file, change the text, and then re-import the slide 2) manually create everything on the slide inside Captivate. This means a lot of work. I was hoping that Captivate 7 would solve this, but what seemed possible could address - high fidelity - is not available for mac. I'm sure that others have this problem too.

• 6 problem in captivity, not in Captivate 5

  I recently bought 6 Captivate.  I was a very active user of 5 in captivity and don't have this problem in Captivate 5.

  When import PowerPoint slides in Captivate 6 to develop a presentation, him flickers of SWF file published between slides.  It's very distracting, and I imagine that would cause headaches students.  I don't have this problem with powerpoint 'native' Captivate 6 called "Themes", but I'm building a large number of presentations in PowerPoint, so I prefer to bring my slide in Captivate, like I did in version 5.

  I continue to struggle with trying to keep the slides paused while the user interacts with buttons or areas to click on my pages. I tried to use the click box hidden out of the Tower, but it does not work for me.

  I would be eternally grateful if someone could take a look at this slide and let me know that I can get this to work. It's something I will do again and again (in different ways), so I really need to figure this out once and for all.

  Someone is willing to work with me on this? Even if it is offline, I am pleased to publish the results as soon as we have them working.

  Recently, I find a drag and drop animation that I use in my classes of software. I really Don t remember the source of the file, but I have the .fla and .swf here with me. It was offered for free, before any comment.

  Most of the Drag and drops done to _root using Flash make reference to individual instances on the stage. Given that the component needs to do a hit test to see if your slide object strikes the target object it will probably do something like this:

  When you import this in Captivate then _root is no longer the _root of the Flash file, but rather the _root of the Captivate file, which does not work.

  What is the destination folder that the date be underneath?  In the top right it says users who suggests, you try to put the photos on top of your username instead of under your username.  Maybe that's the problem.  So change your folder in the drop-down list at the bottom right of what it should be rather than users, and if you're going to show us the destination of your photos at least scroll through the list of folders down right so that we can see which is the white highlight.
