Problems of its satellite A40-> after that restart everything works again

Hi guys

I had a problem with the sound on my Satellite A40 last night but I turned it off to go to sleep and now it works?

What the hell went wrong my microphone does not work either.

How about reinstalling audio driver or update
I put t know what happened but maybe some driver or registry entries files are corrupted.

But are you sure that you don't l l turn off the sound or microphone accidentally?
Check it out.

  • Bluescreen apears on Satellite A40 after installation of the recovery CD

    Hello

I have a Toshiba A40, and I tried to restore the system to factory with product CD recovery setting. The booted CD systems and you are prompted for an installation which was then completed and asked to restart the computer.

However, after a reboot, the PC is not booting. A blue screen appears with a message that "Windows cannot be started due to some problems. Please check viruses or hard drive '.

Then I started the PC with another disk bootable CD and checked for the latest anti-virus that doesn't show anything. Then I run SCANDISK on the hard disk and it doesn't show the problems.

    Could someone please advice?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

It is perhaps a silly question, but have you used the right Toshiba Recovery CD designed especially for the computer laptop satellite A40?

I read many threads here in the forum about people who has recovered or tired to get the phone clean with different and wrong Toshiba recovery CD s.

After this procedure the laptop will not work properly and the BSOD could if poster because drivers preinstalled on the image of Tosh are not compatible with the laptop!

    So be careful!

  • Satellite A40-231 sometimes restarts without any obvious reason

I am owner of a satellite A40-231... my problem is that the computer mobile restars sometimes at will without any obvious reason.
    can someone help me please

    Hello

A restart (or reboot) as you describe usually follows a condition of serious error on your laptop that causes Windows reboot. Generally though, you'll get some sort of error message (blue screen) just before the reboot. You can prevent this automatic restart simply by disabling it in system properties options. Just right click on my computer-> properties-> Advanced-> Startup Recovery & -> settings and uncheck the Automatic Restart.

  • Problem of its satellite A80 129

I bought the laptop Satellite A80-129 a few days ago. I decided to install Win XP Prof instead of Win XP Home, which came with the laptop. After installing all kinds of software, I noticed something weird. His knowledge was quite low.

I checked all kinds of possible parameters of volume everywhere and it is set to max everywhere possible. Also, I checked the volume on the laptop dial and it is also turned to MAX I installed WM Player 10, RealPlayer, Quicktime and Winamp 5.08.

After playing some of my music, I came across something interesting. While I was playing my music in Winamp, I also played a small video file in WM Player 10 and that's sound was really loud. Immediately I looked at which audio codec is used in this video and this is WMA 9 (64 kbit/s, 48 kHz stereo, (A / V) 1-pass CBR). When I stop the playback of this video, sound volume decreases again.

I also tried sound in other software such as RealPlayer and Quicktime, and only after I read this audio video gets really strong in all players. Any suggestions?

I would point out also that no matter if I play music (mp3, wav, audio CD..) or video (avi, mpeg, rm,...), audio is still low. Only after that I have play this specific video, the sound becomes strong to all players, playing music or video.

I also have problems with energy saver. If I install it, everything I write in the world is so slow, it appears letter-by-letter although I already wrote the entire sentence. If I uninstall, then everything is back to normal. Why is this happening?

I would really appreciate a response.

    Best regards, Kekec

    Hi Kekec

It's very strange because that all tools & utilities should work fine using Windows XP Home and Professional. Have you had all of these problems at the beginning with OS preinstalled by Toshiba? The original operating system provided by Toshiba included SP2. Have you installed it too?

  • Problem of its satellite L750-1XK - work for 1-2 minutes then cuts

I have a Toshiba Satellite L750 1XK, my laptop is about 18 months old now

The problem I had is that the sound works for a minute or two and then cut! I saw a LOT of people in this forum have the same problem, but I'm yet to find a thread where the problem is actually solved.

As with most of the people with the same problem, I can plug in headphones and remove them and it works again briefly, but then turns off again. I tried everything I can think of. I don't know much about laptops, but I tried to reinstall the drivers, I checked the Device Manager to see if there were problems in there, but everything seems fine.

Then I thought that maybe my computer has too much stuff on it and, removed everything and defraged etc. and cleaned but still not working. So I decided to go a step away and actually restore laptop to factory settings, it all scratched and did install a clean windows and its still doing the same thing.

I have really no idea what to do now. Is this a hardware problem, if so it will be an expensive solution?

    > As with most of the people with the same problem, I can plug in headphones and remove them and it works again briefly, but then cuts off again

Had the same problem with my other laptop equipped with a card Realtek sound and I could solve this latest installation updated audio driver the Realtek driver page.

But it seems that your Satellite L750-1XK does not support Realtek audio chip but the Conexant audio chip.
Therefore, the solution could not be useful for you.

However, I suppose that there are two possible reasons for this:
    (1) failure driver sound
    (2) failure of the sound chip.

In case of malfunction of the audio driver, I recommend you to google for driver Conexant SmartAudio HD and test the latest version of the driver available. On the internet, I find the Conexant SmartAudio HD driver version 8.65.9.51 for Win 7 / 8 Win / Win 8.1

    To manually update your driver:

    1. go into the Device Manager (right click on my computer, choose manage and then find Device Manager in the left panel)
    2. right click on the device you want to update and choose Update driver software
    3. choose Select the location of the new driver manually and navigate to the folder where you downloaded the driver

In case of malfunction of the sound chip, you can try to use an external USB sound card.

  • Satellite A40: HARD drive no longer works

I have a Toshiba Satellite A40 with a 40 GB hard drive that was supplied as standard.
I have had absolutely no problems with it since buying it... so far.

On September 19 I left my laptop (do nothing) for a while I had to rush. I went back to the 'blue screen of death' that says I had a hardware failure and Windows were closed. It was late, so I turned off the laptop and he left until the morning.

The next morning I start the laptop. It makes a noise of terrible rattle than he ever has before. It loaded windows extremely slowly, me connected and then crashed to blue screen.

When I heard the noise, I thought it was the turbine that is blocked will cause the laptop overheating and stopping. Then I checked the fan for obstruction and dust and then cleaned the dust out of the heatsink at the back. I turned on the laptop and the sound came back.

After listening to the noise more closely, I heard that he was not coming right in front of him - the hard drive fan, but the compartment. So when I started the computer I got the Toshiba POST screen and then it would not start. I booted from the recovery CD to reformat the HD, but whenever he tries to read the HD to start re-formatting it crashes. And now, whenever I turn it on I get the message "insert system disk".

I had this problem before with another computer and everything just re-installed windows, but I have never had such a strong and terrible HD noise. I'll try to reinstall windows later today, but wanted to know if anyone else has had a similar problem and if it would be wise to replace the HD altogether. Preferabbly I want to reinstall Windows and recover files lost which unfortuently have not been saved, I typed only their place the same day.

Any comments or ideas would be very useful.
    Thank you.

    Hello

For me, the matter is very clear. According to the description of you, it sounds like a HARD disk head crash. The noise is coming from the inside of the HARD drive.
In addition, the message "Insert system disk" appears because the BIOS can not find the HARD drive or operating system.

Well, unfortunately, in my opinion it is not big thing to do. I don't think that replace drive HARD will solve this problem and allows you to reuse the laptop.

    Good luck

  • Satellite L25 - after that Windows update is unable to use the Wi - Fi button

I have a S-1193 Satellite L25, caught a virus, and after a windows update, cannot use wi - fi on the front button.

What I have to do is disable the adapter, turn it on, then re-boot.
If I turned off the computer, I di everything again.

This will make the button work? Or is there a setting that is always on?

    Hello

    > after a windows update, cannot use wi - fi on the front button
Do you mean the button that launches Internet Explorer?

According to your message the laptop doesn't connect to the WLan automatically and you will need to connect it manual to get the job of WLan.
    Is this right?

I put t know how you have connected the laptop to your router, but usually, if you own Windows WLan zero configuration then you should make sure that the parameters to a called + connect when this network is in range. +

I have a weird problem with my sound regulator in A300. When I use 'wheel' in front of the laptop, next to the headphones of entry etc., sound turns upward and downward very irregular - I try to turn up the volume and it jerks around a constant level of volume that ends at 10% of the desired level. Hello

    (1) remove all external devices before turning off the computer, and then check to see if that makes a difference.

    (2) turn off the ability to wake the computer.

    i. Click Start, right-click computer and then click on manage.

II. in the user account control dialog box, click on continue.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

III. click on Device Manager, expand Bus USB controllers, right click on the device and then click Properties.

IV. do the same with the network adapter.

    v. click on the power management tab, clear the allow this device to wake the computer check box, and then click OK.

Win7 Pro. has worked ok firefox. but lately with 25 and 26 now, firefox does not start. I see that firefox is running in the Task Manager. but it will not just appear.
If I still download and install it, it runs, but every time I restarted the system, it just does not work yet.
