Problems printing envelopes.

When you try to print an #10 envelope, the printer is not printed in the box that corresponds to the schema to choose the position of the envelope. I tried all positions as a decoration but none work for the right side with the flap facing upward.  The printer is a Photosmart C410a, product # CQ521A.

I would go here, entry of your operating system, then refer to the section update:

For some reason any I'm more able to print envelopes from a Word document. The driver continues to operate as if she couldn't pick up the envelope in the paper tray.  I have reset the printer as indicated, clean the rollers according to the instructions and still no luck. I tried this on 2 of my HP printers same two 8600. Running the Vista operating system.
I see I'm not the only one with this problem.  I try to print return address from the company Office Depot #10 envelopes of window I've done several times in the past...
Updated the firmware, drivers and all that but still no luck.
    Any other ideas?

    Thank you very much.

Hello @cafe104 , welcome to the forums.

I read about how you can no longer print envelopes from MS Word to two Officejet 8600. I have some suggestions for you that can help and also a few questions.

    1. Having a problem with printing from other programs?
    2. You have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet (avoiding bars, surge protectors, etc.)?
    3. Did you run the print and Scan Doctor, and what were the results?
    4. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the printer?
    5. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall MS Word?
    6. Try to update the firmware of the printer: get the latest Firmware and updates

I could be wrong, but if you have tried printing from 2 printers and envelopes do not print, there is a change the problem is not the printers and related software. Try changing the method of 'feeding' on how you print on envelopes. I've seen that work in my past history of troubleshooting and can work for you too?

Here is my example for you, try these two feeding methods:

Let me know the answers and results and we can take it from there.

  • Problems printing envelopes on an HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless

I had this printer for over a year and have lived in frustration with how primitive and really dysfunctional, it is trying to print envelopes.  The placement to the right or left of a flap to number 10 envelope gets misaligned, as it is pulled through, for printing and a lot of jams times and tears.  Position Central is the only position that will work, but not without fault as the envelope as bad as she came through.  It often takes two or three tries before I can get an envelope evenly or directly printed.  I'm puzzled as to how HP would engineer a product intended for small businesses with such dysfunctional envelope printing system. Otherwise I am not dissatisfied with the product for almost all other uses.  It has many other features very well this work.  But not print envelope.

I thought that I would try to inquire as to if an update of the software download may have tried to correct this problem.  Am I alone in this?

You have moved the paper guides to properly align the envelopes?  I don't see how the envelopes can be loaded in any position, but the Center with the guides snug paper game.  See page 42 (46) in the Manual here.  Also, if you have the latter paper tray note envelopes are not supported in it, you must use the upper plateau.

  • Dell XPS 8500: LaserJet Professional P1102w - problem printing envelope

Recently I had to change my router, which has led to this wireless HP printer reset, and now the envelope printing function does not work.  The broadcast for the envelopes window is in Microsoft Word, but when I click on print, an error message appears in the status area of monitor that says: "this document does not print" and a red dot on the printer flashes.  Any ideas on what settings to check/change if you print envelopes works again?  Thank you!

    Hello

You may need to reinstall the printer driver on the PC, like the printer probably got a new IP network with the new router.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-LaserJet-P1100-Printer-series/4110394/model/4110306/drivers/

Alternatively, you can just go to your control panel > devices and printers > add printer and select your wireless printer, since you probably already have the driver on your system.

  • Printing envelopes problems

I have recently implemented the Photosmart 5525 (5520) but I have problems printing on envelopes.  I use a greeting card program that prints cards on standard letter-size paper is then folded in half.  The envelope is size 5 x 8 ¾ ¾ but I can't find it listed under media sizes and it doesn't seem to be a choice to make a custom as on my old HP printer size.  Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help.  I've seen a few posts on the various Councils who suggested using a choice of C5 envelope, since their dimensions were fairly similar to my A9 which does not support the HP.  I tried in my greeting card program, and it worked fine.  I have will keep your information and can use it in the future.  Once again, thank you.

  • Officejet Pro 8600 Printing envelopes problem

I have a second tray with envelopes inside. Options for printing MS Word configured to use tray 2 to print envelopes, but does not yet recognize tray 2. If Tray 1 is left in the printer, it prints on a sheet of paper even if it was said to use the tray 2. I have to remove the Tray 1 with paper in it and insert the tray 2 into a slot tray to print on the envelope. Leaving the tray 2 in position of tray 2 and removing Tray 1 is just me out of paper error.

Hi, you cannot print envelopes of the #2 plateau.

  • Black printing envelopes

Have an iMac, running the latest OS - bought a HP Officejet Pro 8630 - When I try to print an envelope, the result is a totality of the black envelope - crossed the steps recommended to 'repair' grey all envelopes, IE. Reset the printer, remove the printing software, fixed permissions, downloaded the 'new' printing software, installed the printer, restarted my computer - always prints all black envelope...

Recently upgraded to OS X El Capitan and I can now print envelopes without any problem. I'm guessing that it was a problem of interface between printer drivers and the previous operating system...

  • HP OfficeJet 4650: When you print envelopes

I bought an OfficeJet a year but, despite a search for 'on-line' manual, I can't find any information about loading and printing envelopes.  If I just load the envelope in the tray (the size of the guides adjustment) the printer screen asks "have you you load paper regular A4 - if"NO"is pressed, it just says: 'document - type A4/paper - plain paper type."  This printer is unable to print envelopes?  If possible, someone would be nice enough to indicate where I can find "an Idiots Guide to...". "Envelope of loading and printing of"!

    Thank you very much

    Jayuu

    Hi @Jayuu,

If you followed the instructions when setting up the printer and then installed the software on your computer, you should be fine.

I don't know why this link doesn't open for you. Here's another link - loading paper, cards and envelopes. If this does not work, maybe try to open it in a different web browser.

You will need to select envelope as the paper type, once the envelopes are loaded. If you tap where it shows the type of paper, like 'Letter' for example, you will finally get a long list of types of paper. You can scroll the list by dragging vertically on the screen of the printer with the finger. The different types of envelope are a way just to the bottom of the list. When you see the type of envelope you want in the list, tap on it to select it.

Once you have the desired selected envelope, you should be able to print. Here is a support document which can serve as a reference if necessary - envelopes printing (Windows).

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

Indeed, if this help you to achieve a solution please click the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

    Thank you!

  • You print envelopes with HP LaserJet CP1525nw color

I tried to print envelopes on our printer above.  My document is in Word is formatted accordingly for a #10 business envelope

Under the terms of the HP help function, I found the info on how to set up my document print options, then it would print correctly.

The first envelope printed on the side of Rabat; I have reloaded in Tray 1 and was ready.

The second envelope printed with success so I thought that I understood.  So, I loaded the tray paper with 5 envelopes, hoping to print them massively.  I couldn't get it work when I tried to print 4 at a time.  I got a "Paper jam in tray 2" error and I was not yet using tray 2.  I erased the 'problem' and AN envelope printed with success, then I got the same error message.

I had 2 envelopes more printed this way, but every time I got the same error message, erasing the machine and 1 printed envelope.

Frustrated, I cancelled the multiple print job and tried to print envelopes one by one.  Now it does not at all even if I delete the phantom paper jam every time.

Can anyone help with this?  It makes me nutty.

Background info: my husband (network engineer) install the printer.  I have over 20 years of experience in processing and usually have good results with appearing on printing problems.  It left me speechless!

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Dianne

The CP1525 allows you to print envelopes. There are two ferries, which can be used. I will describe using only the lower tray. Normally, this tray is used for standard paper.  To use the letter envelopes, you must remove the tray and then make some changes. Remove all paper. There are supporters of blue color paper. Two are used for the width of paper. Move the cursor to the Center so that it will load the envelope with the top to the left. Put the envelope with the printable side upward and the top to the left. Slide the blue paper holders so that they touch the top and bottom. Then push the envelope completely backwards and then move the holder unique blue paper in the front to make it against the envelope. You're ready to print as much as the printer.

I select the printer properties. I indicate that I am printing an envelope. I had also to indicate the landscape. I also had to move the appropriate print areas where I want to be. Then I added my address and the address to where they're going. I'm not sure that I have everything but it should work well.

I only did this, but you can use two trays with one who holds a number of pages and the other for a certain number of envelopes.

  • 6520 series Photosmart print envelope

I'm having a problem of printing envelopes varioous #10 programs. I keep getting messages of paper do not match. I am particularly interested in the C5 that are supposed to be looked after very well. I got 1 or 2 outputs in a strange way, so I know it works.

    Hello Bearfan49.

I understand that you have problems printing of envelopes to your Photosmart 6520. Yes, the C5 envelope format is supported by your printer.

How many envelopes are in your paper tray? The ability to support is of five envelopes.

As you change the paper settings for the type of program you are printing from? Can you specify what type of program you print from?

Please follow this document to resolve: incompatibility of paper.

Looking forward to hear from you.

  • HP Envy 5660: KP want 5660 will not print envelopes

I just started to try orint envelopes, but my printer HP Envy 5660 of four months will not be printed #10 or other envelopes.   Machine prints letter size and scans OK but no joy with envelopes.  The value wraps #10 and the loaded paper envelopes.  printer starts to take the envelope then freezes with a "thud" sound and displays the following error message:

    Paper size difference «»

Detected by the printer paper size does not match the selected paper size. »

I re-downloaded and installed the latest version of the HP 5660 software, still no joy, as above.

Very frustrating!   Should I have a defective printer?

I thought about it!  HP will be happy to lnow that the problem was not with the printer HP 5660.  It is with my need to learn how to configure Word 2003 to print envelopes with this printer.  After several visits to help offline in Word 2003 is included on my machine, I have found how non-intuitive to envelopes that run with the 5660.  It evolves your envelope and the graphics setting in tools/Word/letters and direct mail/envelopes and labels/add to the document and then saving them as a Word (.doc) document.  Then, to get the envelope to print, load the envelopes into the printer, then press file/print and then (totally intuitive) configured to print the "current page" or page # 0.  For successive envelopes, you edit the address if necessary in the Word document and then file / print... again.   It seems to work like a charm!
