Problems to install iTunes and Quicktime

I had problems with the installation of all downloads, but the most important of them is me itunes and quicktime, everything that I try to install it says that the

program does not have a valid digital signature, I did some research and found that this normally wouldn't be a problem because you can ignore

and install the program. This is not the case, because it seems that my computer where if the digital signature is not valid, I can't install the program. This has been

for a few months now and it seems to be affecting only recently updated software.

Hello JFINK,.

Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.

Just for your understanding, the definition of a digital signature is lower.

What is a digital signature? I suggest that make sure you that the antivirus program is up to date, if you do not have a Windows Live OneCaretrial.  Then try to do the installation.

Let us know if these steps solve your problem.  I hope the information is useful.

Kind regards

  • I encounter the error (can not open key: HKEY_local_machine32\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run...) during the installation of iTunes and QuickTime on my laptop.

I encounter the error (can not open key: HKEY_local_machine32\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run...) when installing iTunes and QuickTime on my laptop (Windows 7, 64-bit operating system).  Tried to change the registry key to make sure that I had (full control) in the registry key main (HKEY_local_machine\software) and all of its subkeys (including \Wow6432Node and \Microsoft) and restarted my PC.  But I still get the same error message.  What Miss me?

    ORiginal title: HKEY_local_machine32\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run

I tried all the advice support online from Apple without success.  Then I called Apple support and they want to charge me a fixed fee of $19.95 to Troubleshoot modifying registry keys with me.  I refused, and this is why I post this question on the Microsoft Forum.

    Hello

Step 1: Check if you are able to uninstall iTunes in the clean boot state.

From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

    Reference:

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. click on start and then click Run.

    2. type msconfig and click OK.

The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    3. click on the tab general, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    4. When prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

Step 2: Pass through 'Verify iTunes and related components are completely uninstalled' in the article below: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923

Then try to reinstall iTunes .

    > Couldn t find the post I put forward...
Just click in this thread on your account name and you will see the list of all threads that are created.

I saw your ad on the other and you're pretty confused with this. On laptops Toshiba, there is no recovery partition and recovery image is recorded on the second partition in the file called HDDRecovery. Do not change anything here and you will be able to use the HARD drive recovery facility when you want using F8 and repair my computer option.

iTunes and QuickTime are not Toshiba applications and if you have problems with it you should contact Apple and their support. They have designed and tested clean products and they should be able to help.
