ProBook 450 g2: subsequent Security customer hp 8.2 or version Manager

Hello

I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit OS installed and I downloaded and installed all the drivers hp indicated specifically site against my "HP ProBook 450 G2 NOTEBOOK PC"

Device Manager indicates that all drivers are properly installed

I installed the driver for the this file p66915.exe fingerprint reader.

So far, I couldn't see all that happens with the fingerprint reader. Under "Range" Device Manager, it is show as Validity Sensor with the driver version 4.5.133.0 with the device status "this device works correctly.

But in Control Panel under "devices in range", it says "Windows has done to find devices in the range on this computer. "You might need to fix your device or install device drivers.

What Miss me? to activate the fingerprint reader.

Some blog, I could see that his request to install "HP Device Access Manager", that I downloaded from the HP website again. But this time, when I tried to install "sp65592exe", it gives me an error saying that "this security application cannot be installed until Manager security HP customer or later is installed." I couldn't find a link for the same which is to have a version higher than 8.1.

I also tried to install

Identity Digital Persona and also HP Simplepass 8.0 but without success

Please, help me for the same thing.

Kind regards

ECD

  • HP Probook 450 G2: establishment of HP Client Security

    Hello

I recently bought a new HP Probook 450 G2.  The updated provider upgraded the operating system to Windows PRO 8.1.

I'm trying to implement the fingerprint reader, but I can't.  I read previous forums and have ensured that the following drivers are updated:

In the user's guide HP protect tool (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03704246.pdf) and the HP Client Security technical white paper (http://www.hp.com/united-states/campaigns/client-security/HPCS_whitepaper_Final_6_5.pdf) I read a while ago that HP Thin Client Security Setup Wizard.  Because the provider did the upgrade of Windows before you provide them with the laptop, I can only assume that they jump beyond this wizard.  I tried to find a way to get this system in place, but were unsuccessful.

Could someone please provide some guidance.  Keep in mind, it's a whole new machine.

    I just bought a Probook G1 450 with Windows 7 Pro installed.

    In response to your questions:

    • Laptops of professional quality are equipped with sensors of finger prints for the same reason that consumers rank models offer the feature - biometrics are a method very popular to connect to your computer without having to type a password.

SimplePass software runs on quality consumer laptops.

    • Security of client software runs on the professional quality laptops.

Both programs offer some of the same functions.

    Options

Install and run the Client Security

    OR

    If you run Windows 10

    and

If you only want / need to connect to the computer with your fingerprint

    then

You can set a PIN code and then activate the fingerprint reader to log that ships with the operating system Windows 10

    Start / Windows key > settings > accounts > Sign-In Options > PIN

    Help:

Add or remove fingerprints - 10 Windows logon

    OR

If you do not want to install / use the Client Security software on your computer

    and

you do not want to be able to connect to (most) sites without having to type a password,

    then

You can buy a password management program

If you want, you can combine security software and password into a single service manager.

  • HP Probook 450 G1: Windows 8 HP recovery disks has not detected

    Hello

In the hope of someone can help me. I recently had a problem due to what I have to perform a recovery using HP RECOVERY discs [I ordered it] I don't have the HP Recovery Manager or the recovery of microsoft. So I have to do only through HP recovery disks.

If his sudden has not detected in my laptop. I hit the bottom of the hard drive, I can feel that it is rotating. When I double clicked on it. It appears that I have to insert the disc. [Although I have inserted]. I wiped also DVDs with a cloth dry go with stripes. I tested on my PC it detected [of course it won't work because it is not HP PC].

I also diagonsised the hard drive [wide test] component, it has demonstrated that it meets the test. I tested both with other CD/DVD games. It works very well.

I hope you got my problem.

    Product number: F6B14PA #ACJ

    Thank you

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but from your description, I understand that the HP Probook 450 G1 does not detect the recovery DVDs. However, the other CDs/DVDs work fine and the recovery (at least detected) on another PC media.

I understand that you need to recover, but despite this, Windows starts correctly now? What is the problem you can get you to try to recover? In Winows, recovery disks are recognized?

To be honest, I don't know why it is not detected, but there are some things you can try:

-Boot in the BIOS and disable secure boot + turn on Legacy mode

    Details > > http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/The-selected-boot-device-failed-Press-enter-to-continue/m-p/5730515

    Details > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03653226

-Try to boot from the media of recovery of the DVD (first is the one that is re. OS - I see, you should have 2 recovery DVDs - one for the OS, one for the drivers).

keep hitting the Esc key (such as tap-tap-tap).

This should open a HP Boot Menu. Choose F9 to open the boot options. Select the USB drive as boot option.

I would like to know if it works for you.

  • ProBook 450 G2 with Win 7, disconnect Internet

    Hello

I just bought 2 weeks ago new ProBook with Windows 7 Professional in it.

Computer laptop itself is nice, but I'm going to struggle with my internet connection.

I have Wlan in the House and I have my old Sony Vaio, this ProBook and Axus a tablet to use it. (not at the same time).

Router itself is local internet/sky provider chanel with their own blankets so I do not know the manufacturer/model and in this case, it does not matter.

Internet works quite well with Axus and Sony but not with that. I see the problem is not Windows7 or a router.

Problem is a program setting HP own Client security.

Nice to have one, but I see some firewall that turns the connection down and after some 'reset', 'letting windows solve the problem' and restart etc he let himself get up and after a while it switches off again.

Yellow! sign of turn on the connection bar, and he says 'limited connection '.

I almost full signal all the time even then that isn't right. And again, I have not any problems with other devices.

He DIED several minutes 80% of the time at startup of windows. Then, with some fights, it lights up. Sometimes even without me, doing nothing.

I can't find the path/link to disable the HP "security program".

I use F-Secure Internet Security 2015 for securing my HP agains spyprograms and the virus is enough for me.

HP security program is nice, but if she reveals problems as for me I will stop it.

    Just guide me how.

I bought a HP Probook 450 G2 with the free dos version yesterday. I installed windows pro 8.1 on it successfully with all the drivers of HP on the site. But apparently, HP drivers for my probook web page don't offer me with the software "simplepass" for the finger print function. So, I downloaded it from a third party Web page. I checked from the BIOS and the fingerprint is activated, I also installed the validity sensor driver and whatever it is I just don't get any option 'fingerprint' on the program (Simplepass), what they show is 'Pass pine or CHARACTER' and nothing else. Similarly, the option "SIGN IN" from the windows, they show no fingerprints for security options. All my drivers are up to date.  Validity sensor driver is 4.5.133.0, SimplePass is 2015. I'm starting to give up because I googled as much I could and tried all the safest approach, still does not work. Help someone?
