proBook 4520 s: wireless problem

I have no connection to the internet via wireless LAN

and when I go into Device Manager, I found that the controller network and PCI Simple Communications controller have no driver

could I have a link for these devices? and thank you very much

Hello:

Here is the driver for the controller PCI of Comms Sinple must:

http://h20565.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?sp4ts.Oid=4145199&swItemId=ob_78904_2&swEnvOid=4053

I don't know what model of laptop wireless card is, please take the following steps and I figure that out and post the link to the driver for the wireless card you have...

Since there is no driver installed wireless, we need a labeled device network controller in Device Manager in the category other devices.  The network controller device will be a little! mark next to him.

Thus, to find the network controller device, click on that and then click on the Details tab.

Now, you see a drop-down list of property and it is set by default to the Description of the unit.

On this list and select the second element (Hardware ID).

After the first string of characters you see in the window.

  • ProBook 4520 s - exchange of the wireless network card

    Hello everyone.

I think the exchange of the wireless network card in my Probook 4520 s, due to the low flow.
So I searched for a while a 5 Ghz supporting the card and found out that I am only able to get in the "white" cards list working. Then I looked at this page:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?lang=en & CC = US & objectid = c02487851 & jumpi...

These cards can be any, that have been used in 4520 s. Mine (according to the Device Manager) is the Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n. This thing only supports 2.4 Ghz. Now, I looked at the list for a 5 Ghz supporting the card. I think that the 802.11A/B/G/N WLAN Intel HMC 572520-001 minicards can operate on 5 Ghz, because I read, that A appears only with maps of 2.4/5 Ghz. I read too, that maps of 2.4 / 5 GHz have 3 antennas, but on this card I only the slots for 2. Is this good? And this card would go into my 4520 s?

    Greetings,

    Colony

    Hi, colony:

You are right about your statement about the cards being described as A/B/G/N dual-band.

The best thing to do is look at Chapter 3 of your service manual.

You can only order one of the cards listed as supported and it MUST have the HP reference on it or it won't work.

I see only two possibilities for you...

The 6200 Intel and Broadcom 4322.  Make sure you also get the part # that corresponds to what country you live.

If your current Broadcom card has integrated Bluetooth, you will lose your Bluetooth capability if you order an integrated HP bluetooth module and probably the cable too.

None of the dual-band cards have embedded bluetooth.

    Link to the service manual.

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c02439213/c02439213.PDF

Then, you can order a card on the link below.

If you do not live in the United States, you can change your country at the top of the page to yours.

What is the string of letters and numbers of your wired network card device ID?  It appears in Device Manager?  If this isn't the case, you must go into your BIOS and in device configuration menu, make sure that your LAN controller is enabled. If this is the case, then set the LAN/WLAN switching for people with reduced mobility if it is set to active.

You must save the settings, where you changed by pressing the F10 key and exit the BIOS.

  • HP ProBook 4520 s wirelless card

    Hello

I have a HP Probook 4520 s for about 4 years. My problem is that my wirelless card has stopped working. I tried to reinstall the drivers for this card, reset, but it didn't. A computer guy told me, this problem is in wirelless card, I need a new. It is SPARE HP 602992-001 WiFi card. I'm looking for a new on the internet and I read, this new card must be in the white list for my model. I founs some cards on ebay, but I don't know what they will be working. Can you help me, when I should looking for a new or who can I buy instead of this one?

    I'm running on Windows 8.1.

I'm looking forward to your reply.

    Kind regards

Here you go for an exact replacement:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/HP-ProBook-4520s-Wireless-WiFi-card-602992-001-/131340968132?PT=US_Internal_Network_Cards&hash=item1e948820c4

Yours is a wi - fi network and bluetooth module, so if you want to replace double you another module. 4520 s used several types of cards. They are listed in pages 70-73 repair here:

    Manual

It is another option for you:

    WiFi 802.11b/g/n 1 x 1 Broadcom 4313 and 2070 Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR Combo adapter
    600370 001

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/HP-ProBook-4525s-OEM-Wireless-WiFi-Bluetooth-network-card-600370-001-tested-/281471965214?PT=US_Internal_Network_Cards&hash=item418909581e

Read the instructions carefully for instructions on replacing the card. It's a bit more involved on this model. Do not know why the Ralink is more expensive than the Broadcom; personally, I prefer the Broadcom. If you replace the Broadcom module you load new wifi and Bluetooth drivers. Here are the Win7 drivers:

HP did not post drivers Windows 8.1 for this model, but it is likely to have the drivers to load automatically for the bluetooth and wifi Broadcom.

  • ProBook 4520 s: lack of features on a ProBook 4520 s after upgrade Windows 10

    Hello dear community

Long story short: I have a HP ProBook 4520 s and yesterday I upgraded manually (with the tool provided by MS) Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro. Everything went very well and smooth and it works perfectly well until now.

The problem is that some of the features of the laptop no longer work. Here are some examples:

    -Highlight the option on touchpad

    -built-in camera

-Some FN buttons like the one for the brightness of the screen while others (for example, the volume and email) working

My reasoning is that it lacks certain drivers or these functions are somehwat is not compatible with the new OS (it's a 5 + year old PC after all), but I could be wrong. I'd like to hear some suggestions and opinions on this.

If someone needs to my specifications complete, there are:

Operating system: Windows Pro 64-bit 10
    CPU: Intel Core i3 330M @ 2.13 GHz 61 ° C Arrandale 32nm technology

    Hello

  • ProBook 4520 button woes right touchpad

    Hi all.

Got a new HP's Probook 4520 using XP SP3. I noticed that the touchpad is not what it should be in some windows.

For example. If I open an Excel spreadsheet and right-click on one of the tabs at the bottom nothing happens. That is to say I don't get the submenu where can I change the colors of the tab etc.  With IE8 if I right click on open tabs by using the touchpad I get nothing. With the help of a mouse, I get the normal submenu. However if I right click using the touch pad on the desktop I get the right menu so I know that the equipment works. Strange problem, but it's very irritating. I had a glance through the different touchpad options (there are a lot!) but I can't find anything in this regard.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi again.

Just to let you know that if I press "Alt" then the button right then disappeared, the menus appear normal.

Hope that this 'correction' helps someone.

  • HP Probook 4520 s: HP Probook 4520 s and Windows 10 > Bluetooth

    Dear jury,

    has obtained a ProBook 4520 s with a Wifi/Bluetooth Combo of Ralink.

    Updgraded to W10 64bits.

    Everything works fine, exceppt Bluetooth,

be struggling for 2 weeks and about to give up :-(

any suggestions, the steps, the pilots could work?

    Thanks in advance

    Christoph, Philippines

    Hi, Christoph:

Unfortunately the Ralink BT 3.0 or earlier version of hardware does not work in 8.1, W8 and W10.

Ralink cards with hardware version 4.0 BT have supported for these operating systems.

If you want internal bluetooth, you will need to replace the Board with one of those enrolled in the service manual wireless.

The only other wlan supported with BT that I see listed is this one...

    WiFi 802.11b/g/n 1 x 1 Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR Combo adapter and 4313 - reference HP 600370-00.

I believe that the bluetooth radio and model wireless card will work on W10, but I can't say 100% for sure.

  • HP Probook 4520 s installed new hard drive with Windows 7 pro x 64 and drivers - very lag

    Hello

I had my HP Probook 4520 s for 5 years and a few months ago, he started to become very lag, especially when you use the internet, streaming video and games.

I thought I had identified the problem as a bad sector on the hard drive and so I bought a new hard drive and upgraded the RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB at the same time.

When I installed the new hard drive, I couldn't burn an image of my old hard drive (it would stop during the process and was unable to do so because of an error). I used my little HP Windows 7 Pro x 64 operating system DVD and your HP Application and Driver Recovery DVD to install the necessary drivers on my replacement new drive.

The RAM and the new hard drive seem to be good, however, it's more lag. I tried to use latancy monitors to see if the drivers are the issue. It seems that there is a huge amount of latancy and my CPU is at an almost constant usuage of 100%.

LatancyMon points in the following drivers: usbport.sys, tcip.sys, acpi.sys, iastor.sys, ndis.sys, dxgkrnl.sys and so on.

I've seen forums where they will guide you step by step how to determine what drivers are causing latancy. This I could do although he always seems to change drivers who are the cause of the problem and there seems to be a lot of pilots of causing this problem it is so difficult to bring out here that one. In addition, there seems to be no solution to these problems. The only one offered is to update the offending drivers. This does not solve the problem with lag and the latancy yet.

    Any ideas?

P.s. I really don't know not what is the underlying issue is here so I don't know if this is the right forum to post in. Drivers may not at all be the issue, I spent the last four weeks trying to solve this problem.

    Hello skinandbones13

I have laptop (hp probook 4520 s), the touchpad does not work. How can I turn it back on it?

This is a question which would probably respond by HP support, because it isn't really a Windows problem.

Are you sure that the touchpad is not just turned off? Many laptops have switches, power switch, so you can rest your palm while typing one is not worry by pressing the key.

Sometimes, there is a button above the key, a key on the Ko, or some have a stain on the pavement you waiting/tap/double tap/etc. to toggle the pad.

If not, you could try to go on the site of HP and DOWNLOAD/reinstall assistance the SW for the touch pad.

  • ProBook 4520 s: upgrading my ProBook 4520 s

    Hey there dear community,

I have been using my HP ProBook 4520 s for more than 5 years. It serves me well throughout my college and colleges after years so I decided to try to muscle it a little rather than change. My current system specs are (have it with Speccy):

Operating system: Windows Pro 64-bit 10
    CPU: Intel Core i3 330M @ 2.13 GHz 61 ° C Arrandale 32nm technology
    RAM: 4.00 GB Dual - Channel DDR3 @ 532 MHz (7-7-7-20)
    Motherboard: Hewlett-Packard 1411 (CPU 1)
Graphics card: monitor generic PnP (1366x768@60Hz)
512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series (HP)
    Storage: 1043GB Western Digital WDC WD1001X06X-00SJVT0 (SSD) 42 ° C Black2
Optical drives: DTSOFT device CdRom virtual hp DVDRAM GT30L
Audio: AMD High Definition Audio Device

Now, I have done my share of reading and I reach two conclusions:

-This laptop simply is not designed to work image or processors so my two options above are dual-core i5 or i7 CPU.

From what I've read here and there, the most optimal processor that can be used on this particular device are the i7 - 640M, i7 - 620 M and i5 - 580 M. I understand that if I go with either of these three, productivity would increase with about 25-30%.

    -J' have already updated the 3 GB memory to 4 GB, but to my understanding of this laptop supports up to 8 GB of memory, so I'm considerring getting a 2 x 4 GB DDR3 PC3-10600 • CL = 9 • unbuffered NON - ECC DDR3 - 1333 • 1.5V 512Meg x 64 kit SDRAM SO-DIMM 204-PIN.

My storage is pretty much the best thing to get for this laptop (there the SATA2 port (3 Gbps)) a full 1 TB SSD would be a bit pointless.

    My questions are:

-Are there problems or other things to consider about the possible CPU upgrade? I would love to see a video tutorial on how properly to the replacement

-Am I missing something with the memory upgrade? I'm a little hesitant on that tensions must be on the memory sticks (1.35v or 1.5V).

-Are there else I can do for this in order to make a little more current (drive optical swap with something else, etc..)?

I really appreciate every suggestion and comment.

    Thank you!

    Cap

I7 - 640 M is the top processor of the page. Memory DDR3-1066 and is 1.5 volt. The most recent memory of 1.35 volts to the DDR3-1600 not will probably support. HP recommends this:

    4 GB (PC3-10600 1333 MHz, DDR3) 599092-001

    http://www.Amazon.com/HP-DDR3-SDRAM-memory-module/DP/B0030L3B8E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1438431520&SR=8-1&keywords=599092-001

    Your repair manuals

    YouTube video

Technology in the video does not actually remove the CPU but it shows. Remove the processor carefully by turning the locking screw for "open" and lift the CPU out. Be extremely careful with the pins. The new line backup the same orientation as the old and drop it in. Just be sure to block the processor setscrew down tight when you go back. You must follow the instructions on the installation of thermal paste and cleaning.

You can also consider a SSD drive. The gains to be achieved will be more sensitive than the CPU or memory. Also keep an eye on what you spend and make sure it makes sense. If I could only do an upgrade, it would be the SSD. I would like to bother with a Blu - Ray player on a laptop.
