Keyboard Satellite A100-906 after spilled drink
Hello
I am owner of a Satellite A100-906 and I spilled liquid on the keyboard.
As I read on the official website of the product, the keyboard is the spill-resistant.
If I have understood correctly, the keyboard is covered by the warranty in case of spilled liquid.
Is this fair?Thanks in advance,
Maria
Hello
I think you had something misunderstanded:
The keyboard is resistant to the spill, but that doesn´t means that it keeps water away from the machine. After checking Asian toshiba website, I found the following description:
"A keyboard resistant splashes that increase the protection of the system by providing users with enough time to save their work and shut down the system in the case of a spill;
That means the keyboard prevents only the liquids to invade quickly into the machine, but that doesn´t means that the keyboard is covered by the warranty after any spillage of liquids on your machine.
Welcome them
P.s.: That all means you will be charged for repair...

Portege M300: orange light flashes after spill coffee on the keyboard
My friend got a M300 and hes recently was smart enough to reverse half a cup of coffee on his laptop keyboard. The first thing is that the laptop power not on at all even when plugged so it might be possible to defects. The weird thing is that the orange light for the socket ((deuxieme left) continues to blink slowly to me - any ideas on what this could mean?
I havn't tried to clean the keyboard yet due to lack of a small enough screwdriver to unscrew, but because the laptop does not in any case, I think that the problem may be bigger than that. Is that what I can do with him or is it just a case of having to buy a new computer laptop coffee becaue is not covered by the warranty lol
Any help would be appreciated, thanks J
Hello
I agree with Miro.
The must be something wrong with the hardware. Code bilking isn't always the same. The orange light flashes different for different dysfunctions.
The Toshiba service partner can read this code and then can give you a good answer on the blackout. -
Error reading data Configuration system after a keyboard spill
Hi, I have a huge problem.
First of all, I am dual-booting Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 and Ubuntu 9.10. That is how I am able to post here, because Windows will not work. I have a laptop Gateway which is about a year and a half now, and I need it for school work. Today while I was working, I just turned around and knocked over a bottle of water, which some of its content seeps to the computer keyboard. I have dried up as much excess mess I could and turned off the computer to let it dry. Back to put on gave me an error. The gateway logo came on the screen, as it was loading up, and it got to the point just before it reaches the bootloader and made up a list of Windows process is apparently at the start of the computer each time that. Well under something in the sense of "Mouse initialized" there is an error that says: "System configuration data read error - press F1 to continue, press F2 to Setup."
The first time, the F1 and F2 keys button would not respond. I assumed it was because of the water, and tried again later. I tried to continue, and the computer has the bootloader without any problem. I'm on Linux to see if it works properly, and he did. I went to mount the C:\ drive and check all of the corrupted files and from the looks of it, there are not. So I restarted the computer, pressing F1 on the error screen again and tried to load Windows. Windows does not start, and I got a message that says essentially that some files has been prevents me to start Windows, and that a Vista disc to the same version I have on my computer allow me to repair the damaged file. I do not have a disk.
I need to go down any important Windows data and I can do it through Linux, but it is more convenient to do it in Windows. How can I fix this problem without a Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 disk? A FSC would help? If so, how can I get a? Would let the computer dry a little more help?
Thanks in advance!
Give him more time to dry.
If problem persisits, you may need to contact Gateway re replace the laptop keyboard, material etc:http://support.gateway.com/support/default.aspx
And if you need a start-up repair disc in the future:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

Laptop does not start after spilled liquid
I spilled liquid everywhere in my laptop yesterday. And now it does not work!
The thing is, I could activate it yesterday after I poured the liquid, it seemed ok.So I just turned off and left to dry.
But it is not today. What should I do?
Hello
This is a really bad story and I put t see any chance of getting the laptop works without any replacement hardware.
I think we are ve got the worst case. This means you have a short circuit that could damage the whole motherboard. :(
I think you should certainly contact the notebook computer technician for a control.
But it sounds really bad, Buddy :(
However, good luck

After receipt of windows update my keybooard toshiba laptop does not work. There are no errors listed. It is not listed in the hardware devices. It will work after restoring to an earlier date.
Hi grannyofall7,
1. what windows update installed on the computer?
2. is it wireless or wired keyboard? What is the number and the model of the keyboard?
3. what happens when you connect the keyboard to the laptop after installing the update?
View the history of update to see what update was installed and the origin of the problem, after back with the details.
(a) open Windows Update by clicking Start , all programsand then click Windows Update.
(b) in the left pane, click view update history.
(c) to view more information about an update, double-click it.
I suggest that you install the update after placing the computer in a clean boot state and check if the problem persists.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Reset the computer to start as usual
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
(a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
(b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
(c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
(d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.
If you still experience the problem with the key board after installing the update then I suggest that visit you the manufacturer of key board download and install the updated driver, check if it helps.
I hope this helps!

After cleaning keyboard unable to print.
My printer HP 2410 series works perfectly for the past 10 years. It can print all print commands each time that the Envoy by my computer. Since 2 days, my computer does not send the command for my HP printer to print a page of my files.

keyboard fails after USB keyboard to reconnect
After disconnection and reconnection of my USB keyboard on my Windows 7 PC, seems it to reconnect (recognized in Manager devices, indicator light, USB connect sound pieces), but the keys don't work. Disconnect/reconnect a few times, during the passage of the USB ports eventually again become key assets, but so far I was not able to detect a pattern in what constitutes successful reconnection.
I installed a mouse switch KVM, keyboard and screen between two Windows 7 PCs (both are HP, laptop Elitebook, the other a Pavillion Elite). This problem occurs with the Pavilion, never with the laptop. The problem occurs with or without the KVM switch. The Elitebook is usually started with the keyboard is plugged.
In case of problem, I have done so far:
- Reconnect using a different USB port looks more often give a positive result, but not always
- There is no problem with the re-connection of the mouse
- Device Manager shows no problems. Updated driver that I have the latest driver software (HID compatible keyboard), which is also identical between laptops and desktops. Also no problem in the Device Manager on the USB drivers.
- I bought another keyboard (Logitech K120) and have the same problem with my native keyboard of HP
- Unplug all other USB devices and I tried the keyboard connection/reconnection on different ports - no difference
- Installed the software of Logitech keyboard (driver?) - no difference
- Reinstalled the software of the driver on the HP website - no difference
There is no other known issues with the computer and when the keyboard is in use (as now, when I'm typing this), everything is great. I searched all over the web and have not found someone with the same problem, at least not in Windows 7.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
I think I should have solved (fingers crossed). When I went to Control Panel / programs and features, I've seen two HP programs to support the keyboard (a normal keyboard support and the support of an extended keyboard). I deleted (uninstalled) together. So far, things seem to work.

Yes - the Oracle documentation explains this. I found this doc with a simple search of "column, add the oracle 11g invalid procedure.

How to get data in the procedure after CREATE TABLE table1 AS SELECT * from table2
Hello
can any body tell me how to get the data in the new table created in the procedure. because it gives following error.
- Error (47,21): PL/SQL: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
tableName: = "BCKUP_" | TO_CHAR (sysdate, 'ddmmrrrr');
tableDDL: = 'CREATE TABLE' | tableName. "AS SELECT * FROM Table1 where to_char(MSG_IN_TIME,''dd-mon-rrrr'') < sysdate - ' | daysNumber;

How to select the data in the newly created table. as...
Select * from ". tableName;
Do not choose anything to get the number...
Just after backupDDL EXECUTE IMMEDIATE, simply refers to SQL % ROWCOUNT - who will be the number of lines.
Oh and DDL engages automatically, your commitment is redundant.

Run the procedure after the application deployment
Hi all
I faced a small question.
When I deploy my application to another server - it must run a procedure (this means that the procedure must be run once immediately after successful deployment).
It takes to update some records in the system tables.
Apex supports characteristic or something like that?
APEX 4.1
Thank you

How do you deploy your application? The documentation contains all the details of creating a packaged application with all dependencies for database included as items of support. Your procedure must be performed in one of these objects support scripts.

Release of stored procedure after UPDATE
Hello
I've written a LOOP that calls a second stored procedure.
In the second stored procedure, I have 3 INSERTS the values of each SELECT limited with a WHERE clause.
Example:
What should I do?begin dynsql:=INSERT INTO destinationtable (ID,DATE,NAME) SELECT src.ID,src.DATE, dest.NAME FROM sourcetable src INNER JOIN destinationtable dest ON dest.ID=src.ID WHERE dest.date between '01.JAN.2012 and '03.JAN.2012' --if not condition not met, no insert execute immediate dynsql; dynsql:=UPDATE destinationtable SET DATE = dest.DATE FROM sourcetable src INNER JOIN destinationtable dest ON dest.ID=src.ID WHERE dest.date between '01.JAN.2012 and '03.JAN.2012' execute immediate dynsql; dynsql:=INSERT INTO destinationtable (ID,DATE,NAME) SELECT src.ID,src.DATE, dest.NAME FROM sourcetable src INNER JOIN destinationtable dest ON dest.ID=src.ID WHERE dest.date between '01.APR.2012 and '01.MAY.2012' --if not condition not met, no insert execute immediate dynsql dynsql:=UPDATE destinationtable SET DATE = dest.DATE FROM sourcetable src INNER JOIN destinationtable dest ON dest.ID=src.ID WHERE dest.date between '01.APR.2012 and '01.MAY.2012' execute immediate dynsql; dynsql:=INSERT INTO destinationtable (ID,DATE,NAME) SELECT src.ID,src.DATE, dest.NAME FROM sourcetable src INNER JOIN destinationtable dest ON dest.ID=src.ID WHERE dest.date between '01.JUN.2012 and '01.JUL.2012' --if not condition not met, no insert execute immediate dynsql; dynsql:=UPDATE destinationtable SET DATE = dest.DATE FROM sourcetable src INNER JOIN destinationtable dest ON dest.ID=src.ID WHERE dest.date between '01.JUN.2012 and '01.JUL.2012' execute immediate dynsql; end; commit;
I update the existing line of 'old' with a new date, and then I'm basically duplicate this line but add a new DATE, the NAME and the ID is 'copied' as it is.
The big problem is that the lines of recursive updates. If the first statement updates a date, it could become a 'true' conditions for the second and the first update
That is not what I want. Initially, only one of the instructions is true, never. The problem with my code, is that after the first update and the setting of the date, the other "could" become reality.
This should stop. After the update has occurred, I need to stop the stored procedure.
How can I stop put an after?Use sql % rowcount after an immediate execution.
If sql % rowcount = 0, no line have been set to day/insert/selected.
If sql % rowcount > 0 then lines have been updated/inserted/selected day. -
After replacemant keyboard keys do not work on Satellite Pro L100
Hello
I have problems replacing my laptop to a Toshiba Satellite Pro L100 keyboard. I adapted my laptop with a keyboard replacement brand new, it is detected by windows. But when I press any button, nothing happens.
It was the same problem with my previous keyboard. There is nothing broken inside the laptop or the clip that I can tell. But I can't understand why it does not work since I installed the keyboard properly.
My computer detects only external keyboards (when I connect it to a USB keyboard). I checked the BIOS and the keyboard is turned on.
Did someone knows what I could or should do? Please help me, thank you.
Hello
Sorry, he says, but it's not easy to say why the keyboard does not especially the dysfunction of the keyboard is related to the hardware problem laptop
But I wonder why you did not contact the maintainer authorized Toshiba?
To my knowledge, the satellite Pro L100 is not an oldie and security must be still valid and each replacement repair or part of the laptop should be done for free.
Then why have you tried to replace the keyboard by yourself?I recommend to ask the guy to service to help immediately
